one of the most underrated tracks from DT. It's so catchy. I wish it was easier to play but on my 6 strings it's a pain in the ass lol
This song was originally recorded on a 6 string I think, even John itself have played this song live using a 6 string baritone in standard A tuning. It might take you some time, but you can tune your 6 string standard scale to standard A with no problem, only some adjustment and thicker string gauges. Have a try! This song is so fun to play!

is it possible to do it with a regular 6 strings? even the initial scratch on the strings? I love the song but I don't own a 7 string to try it :(

6집도 오버츄어부터 쭉 라이브 한 적이 있어서 이 앨범도 언젠가 유튜브에 작업해서 올리고 싶은데, 통 시간이 안 나네요..ㅎㅎ 한 곡씩 따로 하자니 감질맛나고요...ㅋ

@@subsub74 originally on a 6 string baritone, but most people just play it tuned to A on a 7 string as it’s only 1 tone down as opposed to 3 1/2 if you were to play it on a 6
@@subsub74 no. I mean, it's fine but the song was recorded in a six string. A baritone tuned down to A.

@@subsub74 yeah, and the whole point of Octavarium was that after Train of Thought they did a simpler, more prog and less heavy album so the seven string was used sparingly.
