  • TLDR: Here is the detailed overview of the clinical information which you need to keep in mind, and ensure that you ask in the history of any patient attending with a respiratory problem.
    Okay, the second try of the Macleod's Clinical Examination podcasts (now with tweaked audio). It turns out that recording one of the main chapters is a bit of a beast!
    Thus I've split the chapter into a revision of the respiratory history (this video), and the theory of performing a respiratory examination which will be released later.
    These are still very much work in progress type things, so I'll be very grateful for any feedback on how we can improve the utility for medical school and finals revision

    As ambulance staff, its excellent and provides a great insight so we can ask the right questions, before we get to hospital with the patient, hopefully either helping you guys at hospital out, or alternative pathways for the patient. Keep going, its excellent !

    I love the long, detailed description. There's no need to break it up unless you feel it's necessary. I know you've heard it before, but your voice and manner are so calming and reassuring. It's obvious why that, added with your professionalism, is why you're teaching others.

    So I listen to these videos as I find your voice extremely relaxing (like most people 🤣), but hearing you speak of COPD and heart failure made me remember my grandpa. He never smoked a day in his life, but had stage 4 COPD and congestive heart failure on and off throughout the years. It just makes me wonder where it could’ve come from. 😥 Lovely podcast! xo

    • @DrJamesGill
      @DrJamesGill  4 роки тому +1

      genetics, employment, environmental exposure, and possibly just bad luck. There a lot of subtypes of COPD which get put under that same title. Sorry to hear about that

      Velocity - the worst thing you can do to yourself is assume that you can’t do something. People can accomplish much more than they think they can. You may need more time and may fail more times in your quest than others, but don’t give up and stay determined, and you can accomplish what you dream.
