Well, the rock n roll legend said it himself: 'Rock bands don't swing.' And THIS is why I love AC/DC, because they swing. That's why they rock n roll hard, and Malcolm was the genius behind it all.

So sweet, humble, soft-spoken, and genuine. He was really the mastermind behind AC/DC. Such a tragedy and loss, not just for the band but for the rock and roll community. R.I.P Malcolm, you are loved
Just a genius bass guitarist !!!…. R.i.P sieur Malcolm !!!…. 😪😪😪…. Keep on rocking with Bon in paradise of real’s rockers !!!…😜😜😜… i salute you from France … keep on rocking genius guy !!!…. ❤️❤️🤘🤘🤘⚡️⚡️⚡️
If there’s an afterlife I hope Mal’s been watching us and seeing how deeply we mourn his loss and how much we all love and respect the man, his music and his legacy. 🕯🌻
1/3 of the tightest rhythm sections in rock. People try talking smack about AC/DC but they were tight and delivered what they promised, high voltage rock n roll
arrow64 64 I totally agree.I would say about 50% of the people going to listen to AC/DC or go to one of their live shows don’t even know who he was. Not just here in America but in the rest of the world. But in my opinion the world would be very boring and a dark place without AC/DC. So I hope they make a documentary about just him and then one about Angus one day.
Anyone who knows the band knows Malcolm was (still is) the driving force behind it. Not just his riff making and stage performances but how the band worked, what it recorded and what it sounded like. AC/DC was Malcolm’s band. Angus was the front man but Malcolm ran the show.
"Rock bands don't really swing. Rock and roll has a swing !" Well said, Malcolm. Like Duke Ellington said, "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing."
For most, ACDC has always been about Bon, Angus and Brian, and they were realy great. But the heart of ACDC was always Malcolm's great rythm guitar. RIP Malcolm!
Without a doubt the greatest rythym guitarist of all time... period...no one even comes close...his rythym playing was a good or better than alot of lead guitarist....🎸🎸🎸
He was a lead guitar player in the early years man , he told Angus to take over on lead they use to share that spot he is a great guitar player period . Watch some of their old clips he plays lead along with Angus .
Malcolm Young you can tell he was a very genuine and down to earth sweet hearted guy, it shattered my heart when he passed away in 2017, I remember eating at Bob Evans, my friend sent me the link to the Foo Fighters paying tribute to him? And I was standing there in the middle of the aisle crying, someone asked me “Young lady why are you crying?” I said “Malcolm Young of AC/DC passed away, and somebody sent me this tribute video, really touched my heart.” One woman said “yeah I heard about that, I grew up on AC/DC! So sad! He was the best rhythm guitarist ever! His memory will live forever if we never forget him!” And one other guy became a complete dick and said “so what? He was a devil and he is going straight down to hell!” We both turned and looked at him and said “fuck you !” AC/DC have been part of my life basically since I was born. I could not imagine life without them. They have been there for me through thick and thin. Especially when I lost my house in South Carolina to the house fire, and they were there for me the only thing that gave me comfort was listening to their music. And because of Malcolm and Angus I have always wanted to be a guitar player since I was 10 years old. And because of his passing the day of his passing it really kicked me in the butt and I am trying to get myself in gear over it. But every time I think about Malcolm to this day it still hurts me like it did the day he passed away even though I never knew him as a person. I felt that I knew him through his music.
That dude was probably a metalhead. Most guys that are into guitar theory and prog, metal, punk, thrash, and that other shit, don't typically like rock n roll. It's "too simple" for them. There's "no artistic value" to it. But simplicity makes money and it's what people like. You never hear Steve Vai, Joe Satriani or any of those guys on the radio because it's boring. It's not toe tapping. It doesn't swing. Malcolm and Angus figured out how to fuse a hard, blues based, rock sound with a swing beat and it exploded. Life would be pretty depressing without AC/DC.
@@cs-7 Exactly. That’s why I love them. I am the only girl in my family that has never really cared for people like Justin Bieber, or Miley Cyrus (not really saying they are bad artists) but I am just not personally a fan of theirs. When I was a kid even at church I would wear AC/DC shirts. The priest didn’t care because he said “if God didn’t want her to wear their shirts he wouldn’t have made them rock so much!” Which is weird because typically in the south you hear people talking about the devil music usually being rock or rap or heavy-metal. You can definitely tell the priest was a very complicated person. That’s why I loved him as a friend. He ended up passing away at 78. But he was still a hard rocker. My point is it doesn’t matter who you are really you can still love rock ‘n’ roll. I know religion has nothing to do with it but in a way rock and metal preach about religion like Ronnie James Dio once stated.
I named my son after you are the best Rhythem Gitarrist in the world and all times.Rock in Peace Mal! And iam a German from Lübeck were the only letter from Wiliam Walace Greatings from Lübeck Germany
You guy keep talking rhythm he use to play lead along with Angus in the early years then he told Angus to do all the lead . He was a great guitar player in all rights , just saying. Peace man .
man i miss malcom :( cant believe its been 4 years today since he left us i wish he was still here playing with ac dc i hope he and bon are jamming up there
This band above all other bands is lovable. They don't fake being down to earth. I think they understand, more than any other band out there, that what they are on the stage and what they are off of the stage are two very different things. They are genius at both.
What a great guitarist!! I love AC/DC and most of what I love us Malcolm's rhythm playing Always gets me going. RiP Malcolm . Gone but never forgotten!!!!
Cool that's the truth I been a fan since 1975 was in Australia on r and r I was in the MARINE CORPS pick up high voltage. Dirty deeds blew me away.seen them live once blew me away There AC /DC then the other rock bands
I love that foto when he's pushing his guitar out and you can see all ten fingers, like he's not even holding it- like it's just floating there like magic. Which is what he was. Magic.
Thanks for creating this lovely tribute. His was a life well lived and he left us with some of the best rock & roll music this world will ever see. I hope you rest in peace Malcomb, thanks for the good times!
I seem to miss Malcolm from the band, music,.. the event, every time. ..you don't know what you've got until it's gone they say. What a legend, wonderful individual, right from the start.

Everybody always says Malcolm was the best Rhythm guitar player not true in the early years he played lead with Angus also and he was dam good , he was a good guitarist period . Funny Bon wasn't that big Malcolm and Angus are small in height also but their as big as it gets when it comes to rock and roll man ! RIP will alway be my favorite band .
this tribute is not only great with the photos but the soundtrack is really giving me the ckeeks. Well done in memory of one my favourite guitar players, and certainly the best rythm player of all times. RIP Malcolm, we miss you.
Great video, and what great choice of song to go with it! like Malcolm, rather on the quiet side and for long heavily underrated, Ride on is one of their finest.... every Rock and Roller has the blues sometimes
We all grew up wanting to be Angus. Then when we were older we realised we actually wanted to be Malcom. The finest Rhythmn guitarist period.

R.I.P. Malcom. You are gone but not forgotten, Buddy.
Malcolm will always be the greatest rhythm guitarist to step on a stage..
Rest in peace Malcolm your music shall never be silenced nor you forgotten..
The tightest rhythm guitarist that ever lived. Rest easy Mal!
I envy these guys, Angus and Malcolm, for the relationship they had and the fact that they made music, together, for all those years.
