We have arrived at Fault V2. Hear and see Dan Explain It All about Fault V2 and its many nuances. The Fault remains a great overdrive with a footswitchable second gain stage and three band EQ, and now excels as a clean boost and tweakable high gain distortion as well.
Fault V2 features:
Master Volume, Gain, and Voice controls
Footswitchable second gain stage set by the Gain 2 knob
Sliders for Low, Mid, and High frequencies
Boost toggle to set range of Gain 1 knob from clean to mean
Crush toggle to add an additional post-EQ clipping stage
Relay bypass switching and standard 9VDC center negative power

You should consider using a demo player who can play guitar.
ok
This pedal has ruined my life.
I have spent many years, buying and selling, playing and comparing lots and lots of great pedals, painstakingly distilling them down into the perfect rig that left me wanting nothing.
Then this pedal comes along and upsets everything, quickly and easily matching or besting several of my favorite pedals, AND COMBINATIONS of pedals.
Looks like I'm tearing my pedalboard apart again.
So thanks a lot, guys... it's all your FAULT (V2)
P.S. also, I just can't seem to stop playing through the damned thing... : )
Everything is more fun with sliders! I'm digging the new look.
everything IS more fun with sliders
Keep 'em coming! The more I watch of this series the more I realize how much I need most of these pedals on my boards. You've opened a can of worms. Thanks for fueling my pedal addiction.
Thank you guys for making something accessible that is not a cheap knock off of that holy grail dual overdrive. Will buy it next week! Or this week. Even though I just bought a way huge saucy box, I’ve wanted a quality pedal similar to that one unobtainable drive pedal that we all love but cannot obtain. Love ya guys! Proud of my okc pedal manufacturers. You guys, Keeley, and Walrus are so inventive.
Fantastic pedal, gain1, gain1+, gain2, gain+ crush me against the wall! Not to mention the eq sliders, Can't wait to get it!
Nice! I need one!
oh wow! 1st comment! Dan Explains It All could be its own channel. him just explaining how things work. great video, again, guys!
That would be a fun thing to produce. thanks!
You can’t have Dan without Brady and Seth lol
Actually yo that would be such a dope channel. He could talk about other pedals too not just obne that would be so interesting.
beautiful pedal, beautiful sounds, excellent personality and narration from Dan as always..but I think another true winner is DIY overhead rig... whatever is in the c stand grip arm is pretty amazing
ha, that's an old shoulder rig that two of the three arms broke off of clamped into the knuckle of that C stand arm.
Old Blood Noise Endeavors amazing 👏🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
Sounds really good. Frfr.
thank you. Feeling Really Fresh Right?
I’ve got one of these and it has become my primary OD pedal. I play through an AC30 with Celestian blues. The pedal and the amp are a good combo because both the Voice and EQ features of the pedal help craft your signal into something compatible with the treble-and-mids-heavy AC30. A friend once asked me about the pedal and I explained it to him. He said, “So, it’s two OD pedals in one?” But he was wrong. The Fault V2 is more like 200 pedals in one thanks to the Voice and EQ functions. There is an incredible range of sounds that you can achieve with this pedal. Highly recommended and it’s a steal at 200-250 bucks.
That is great to hear, keep turning it up.
Oh hell yeah!
woooooooo
Dan, thanks for making yet another great DEIA video. What a rad pedal! I'll have this one soon (I hope).
KOCO's Chase Rutledge making an appearance at 3:15...LOL! What if he was actually hired out by Keeley to find out what's cooking at OBNE Laboratories?
Does anyone know how well this pedal plays with bass?
Emailed the Old Blood guys but no response.
Are elements like the EQ and voice controls configured for guitar frequencies or will I still get a good response on bass?
Cheers
Serious purchase influencing question: Will it chug? Like, djent / HM-2 / Some metal that backs off into a pretty little overdrive. Am I pie in the sky dreaming or do you think the pedal could crush sufficiently?
Fault V2 is capable of getting very heavy, pairs well with low tunings and slow bpms
@@oldbloodnoise That is exactly what I like to hear, because that is exactly what I like to play.
Love mine but curious is the boost switch click supposed to come through the amp? Crunch switch isn’t audible but boost click is super annoying with any kind of reverb or delay
That switch is switching between two pairs of resistors and caps in the feedback loop of the gain section, so there isn't really anything we can add to help with pop because it would mess with the feedback loop.
Can this be used as a clean boost where it is absolutely completely clean but just volume boosted?
nope, definitely not "absolutely completely" clean, but close to it.
Do you have a Fault V1 trade in program? Asking for a friend.
I find my volume knob being really, realllyy sensitive and going over the moon with the slightest touch, is this normal?
Well, the control set is EXACTLY what I need. Now I need to get one to know what it actually sounds like. No offense, that happens with every pedal I buy on the merits of a video.
Here are two more ways to hear what Fault F2 is doing in more studio-esque scenarios ua-cam.com/video/-D6SpK9QA3Y/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/sivx_RpJPp8/v-deo.html

Still a classic; that Arnold quote!
Ok fine. Take my money.
Guys, you need to re-post this video. I can barely hear Dan the guitar playing is just barely there at all.
Also noticed the audio is messed up, quiet and thin/trebley.
