BL-44 FEATURES:
Clock slider to change the effect from fast and fidelitous to slow and degraded
Speed knob to change the read speed of the reverse effect, creating the impression of octave down, fifth down, fourth down, unison, fourth up, fifth up, or octave up sounds
Soft touch footswitch to engage or bypass the effect
Mix control to set dry/wet mix
Volume control to set the overall volume

I love how this reverse is smooth, like reverse mode on a looper. This isn’t the case with Tensor which cracks when slowed.
The tensor is cool. But. It’s just not getting me a reverse sound I want, in real time.

I'm certainly enjoying mine. Did a very fun set-up with a Drone Rainger into a Pitchfork into the BL-44 and finally into an EQD Astral Destiny -- no guitar required to head for outer space.

Very cool. It's a cousin to the SLIP setting from the MOOD - which, in a sense, was my very first OBNE pedal!
I'm curious why there's no expression input, since the pedal "encourages the player to keep their thumb on the slider". Maybe space limitations?
Within 10 minutes of getting mine I thought the same thing!

As always...AMAZING. I keep hoping you'll put out a video of Dan Explains Every Dan Explains video. It'd be like if Python had actually done a Meaning of the Meaning of Life. Sure, the universe will likely swallow itself whole in the process and create some wild interstellar time warp that creates a world where humans and dinosaurs and future humans and future dinosaurs inhabit the planet at the same time - but only in one, singular, brief moment that could only exist for a split second. But that moment will be the most awesome thing we ever experience.
Except for OBNE pedals, that is. And, of course, any "Dan Explains" video. Those will forever be the most awesome thing ever. But my idea would run a close second I suspect.
Oh. And the BL-44 will definitely end up on my board very soon!

I'm sold. I have the obscura altered delay that has a reverse mode but I actually just bought the walrus audio arp 87 to replace it as a delay.
I'm sold on this pedal as just a reverse. I have OBNE procession reverb. I like this company a lot l, same with walrus audio
This is a very interesting pedal, though I wonder what it would sound like with a feedback loop path/knob. I suppose I'll have to buy it and try it out with an external mixer to find out! :D
Just got mine, my only problem is how noisey the floor is when you push the clock all the way to the left
Bought the BL-44 with serial #72. I'm afraid I'll have to buy a 2nd one even if I won't get #27...
Kind of a idiotic question but does anyone know how much boost the volume knob can give you? I’ve been looking at reverse effects for something a little extra once in a while. But I’m trying to fit it on a fairly compact pedalboard and would love to put it instead of the boost pedal I have before my two reverbs. I don’t need a particularly nice boost. Just something that turns up volume without really boosting any mids or anything.
So I was wondering if this could do the trick with the mix turned all the way down. And then turning it up on songs where I wanna use the actual capabilities of the pedal.
Right now I’m using the xotic super clean turned up 25% as a volume boost. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Would a noise suppressor remove the clock noise ?
