You have a VERY full plate, making a new human, cleaning, cooking, entertaining the girls, dealing with your own sickness AND a sick husband and kids. You’re one person, give yourself some grace. You’re right , my doctor said to me one day “ the dust will still be there when you get to it “ don’t let it ruin your day . I know she could afford to pay a cleaning lady , but it was doctor advice for her patient , it helped me .

Kristen, I found you on UA-cam about one month ago on Amy Fritz’s channel when you had the girl’s trip and I quickly subscribed to your channel and watched so many of your videos already. You are a joy and so inspirational!! Your family is precious and you are very blessed. You made me cry during this video. I got teary eyed too. It brought me back to the days when I was a young mom. I was fortunate to be able to stay home with my kids and it can be very overwhelming on a good day, much more so when outside factors such as illness and weather play a part.

A few thoughts:
*Rosie's embroidery is most impressive. She has a creative touch and skill beyond her years.
*Your dog is very sweet and obviously very much loved. Allow him to help you to shed some stress, by just petting him and enjoying him.
*Happy to hear that faux plants might go. Real plants ROCK!
*Your home is truly a home...not perfect, but that is what makes it wonderful.
*You border on being overwhelmed. Please be kind to yourself. It makes me nervous when you climb on chairs and counters, while being pregnant. Do rest more and clean less.
*Know that eventually spring will come again. Weather that you've been having, along with a broken furnace, is a real stressor.
*Give yourself permission to not add UA-cam to your already heavy load. Your community of people will wait until you are ready and well enough to return.
*Sending to you, thoughts, prayers, positive vibes and much love.

Dear Kristen… I don’t normally tear up on videos but your heart and soul touched mine. 💕 Tell Rosie her pillow is beautiful and a treasure! As a young mother years ago ( now 67) I can remember some times when life just became so much even as I was praying. He always gives up Hope! ( the neighbor and the soup 💕) even in the bleakest storms.

My ancestors lived in Iowa and were pioneers. One night two of them went out to visit the cobbler in a snow storm and on the way back they fell into a deep ditch and died. I guess the blizzards are really bad there.
Your neighbors were God's way of sending angels to your aide and to remind you He is still keeping you in His care! ❤️🙏🏻

Aww, hang in there Mama, it will get better! I am so sorry to hear that your family has been so sick. I can only imagine just how rough it's been for you trying to keep it together. Us Mama's can sure relate. Bronchitis can be really bad on its own. I fractured a rib coughing so hard and so did a coworker. We watch your videos because like I've said before...you are real and show it. No one can relate to the crazy perfect, always clean, perfect family youtubers. That's why we can relate to you. Invest in a generator since you're up north, but in the meantime weatherstrip your doors and windows. You'd be surprised how much heat you'll retain. You can always use towels beneath exterior doors and in windowsills and use painters tape around unused exterior doors and around the windows. I used to hang blankets over windows, if needed. Rosie, your needlework is absolutely beautiful. You should be so very proud of yourself! 🩷💜🩵

I'm in my late 50s and I still have vivid memories of building blanket forts and setting up stores (pulling out ALL of the clothes from my wardrobe - and inviting my mum to come purchase something 😅). No snow storms, no heatwaves. Just a wonderful household where my mum was so relaxed and encouraged creative play. I did the same when my children were younger. Forget about Pinterest Perfect. It doesn't exist. Not when your children are your priority 🩷🤗🩷

Kristen being from the middle of Nebraska I know how long and tough those snowed in, freezing winter days can be. And with all of you not feeling well and everything seemingly being against you with illness, your furnace and car, you are bound to be overwhelmed. NEVER feel embarrassed by your home....you live there with all your beautiful family! I love the white bedding on your bed and the simplicity of your cozy home. Winters where you and I live can be long...especially with getting dark at 5:00. If your girls have had extra tv time, are making messes and no doubt having fun, it's all okay!!! They will remember those days more than anything. I will definitely be praying for everyone to feel better and for the weather to warm up. Please take care of yourself and don't be so hard on yourself. Give yourself grace and know that you are doing your best and NONE of us think any different of you. It's okay to cry and be sad, but know that it is all temporary and the days will get better!! Sending prayers your way!! PS Rosie embroidery is amazing!!!!! What a gift she has!

I'm new to your channel. And at 64 years old understand how you feel. But take it from someone who has been there. This season of your life will pass and there will be a day when you welcome the mess created by grandchildren. Do not beat yourself up because you live in your house. It's beautiful and so is your lovely family. We understand and do not think bad of you for having a real life. It actually brings comfort to others that are going through the same thing. Only two videos in and I plan to stay because of showing the reality of life. God bless and my prayers are with you.
I spent all 34 weeks of my pregnancy uncontrollably vomiting…hospitalized twice for severe dehydration….never missed taking my then 8 year old to school, picking her up, dance and music lessons….I consider myself a badass even now 22 years later lol!!
I’m still looking at and enjoying my undecorated Christmas tree. It’s very cold here in South Carolina and I love seeing the lights twinkle on it! I’m in no hurry to bring Spring ahead of its time.😉 I enjoyed seeing your home. Thank you so much for sharing.😊
My second pregnancy was just like that… only stayed at the hospital once for 3 nights… I’m now 74 and I finally can laugh about it!

I remember going through this time in 1978-1979 winter. I had a newborn and a 17 month old and we live in the country. It was horrible and scary. I am so glad to see you are all on the mend. Having small children is a time when it seems like one illness after another happens, especiallly when they start school. Sharing of the germs.

Wow Kristen! We are definitely praying for you all! As I'm a little older than you, I remember a snow storm here in Central Indiana in 1978. I was only 3, but I still remember it! From what I was told, three actual feet of snow fell in just two days. The drifts were over the doors. I remember my dad shoveling snow into the bath tub to see out of the door. He eventually got our snow mobile out to check on some neighbors, and the wind began to pick up, and it was a complete whiteout. He had to find a fence line, and hold onto it to get to to find a house. He finally found a home of some kind strangers that took him in until the storm let up again. I understand how frightening it came be! The Lord will take care of you all. Just rest in Him.💕

My mom had 10 children ,(11 full term pregnancies ) and I only had 2 children , I don’t know how she did it !!! This world of ours is a stressful , chaotic mess , everyone deserves a “ cry day “ ,never mind a snow day . Blessings on your entire family , from freezing cold Canada honey .💕❤️💕🎶🎶🎶

Don't worry about anything. Cleaning is a never ending story and with the kids home. . .impossible. You'll catch up when they get back to school. You've had one crisis after another so give yourself time to relax and enjoy your family. You're still getting over your sicknesses and it leaves you weak so don't stress. I am in Ontario, Canada, I feel ya about the cold and snow, it’s definitely a learning experience. It will pass. My daughter has 3 small children, it’s always messy with toys etc, it’s fun to see how much fun they have. Take care of yourselves, cut yourself some slack and embrace one another. Spring will come 🌷before you know it. ❤️

We lived in N Dakota for 5 years (military family) and the wind, snow and ice storms even out the Maine Nor’ Easters to shame at times- when a snow storm/cold weather shuts down a military base, you know it’s bad- so I understand the fear for you and your family! When you or Rosie no longer use her pillow cover on a pillow, have it placed in a frame or shadow box by textile preservers so it will be able to move with Rosie when she has her own home and pass down to her children. I have been covering you and yours in prayer throughout watching this video.
Your daughter did an excellent job on her pillow. She would put a lot of others to shame. Glad you and your family is doing better

Prayers sent. Am new to your channel and I find your honesty refreshing. The body of Christ is to stand in the gap for each other. Here in Australia were going through a horrible heatwave. Its pretty terrible and is making a lot of people feel faint but it is so supposed to ease off tomorrow. So one extreme to another on different sides of the earth! Kristen, PLEASE remember this is only a SEASON in your life, the weather can be scary for sure, but it helps me to remember that God MAKES THE WEATHER.... Job 22 38 41. It doesn't help you all have been sick and you are full of pregnancy hormones to boot...Rosie is sweet and her embroidery is lovely... you don;t see many girls her age doing crafts or making things with their hands anymore...I appreciate it because my grand mother quilted and sewed clothes, my mom sewed clothes for me, I was born in 1961 and I didn't have a store bought pair of blue jeans until I was a freshman in high school, my mom also did needlework, crochet, embroidery...Please don't beat yourself up about your home. You have been trapped in dangerously cold and snowy weather.....Your littles are young and there will be a day when you will long for tiny fingerprints all over and tiny messes and crumbs... It will be over in a heartbeat....
Oh you guys! Praying!! God provides and you are blessed to have wonderful neighbors. I grew up in my middle school years in Buffalo, NY so I totally understand the "snow days"! Wow. Seems like your girls were so good to entertain themselves well. I'm thankful my girls do that too when the busy sets in. Thank you for sharing as this is real life happenings! Love you so hard girl. Those tears are real and I am praying for you and your family. Thank you for asking. I live in Alabama, and tomorrow my kids are FINALLY going back to school after a 10 days worth of snow days and ice delays. It has been a nutty start to the year. My daughter has come in our bed most nights and I got so emotional just watching her sleep because I realized these days had been a gift from God to slow down and really soak in time with my family. It hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be to be home with all of us for over a week, and I feel like I did during the pandemic. I was just thankful for the extra time at home to love on my kids and husband. I am so sorry your weather is very scary. I pray everything is better for yall so soon!

Wow! You guys have been tested big time. I am thankful you got through it all. Let me just say, as a mother of 4 kids, 3 boys and a girl your house will be in a perpetual rotation of messy and clean and that is OK! If you don't get to the dusting today it will still be there for you tomorrow. Take care of your health and the rest will get easier. Give yourself time to meditate on be with God's word each day. Even if it is only a few minutes while taking a bath or after everyone is in bed. It will calm and center you. Don't be afraid to ask for help from family and friends. It is a sign of strength not weakness. It takes a strong woman to know when she needs it. You are caring not only for yourself but the little one you carry. Be kind and good to you both. That storm was a scary one for sure. Take what you learned from this one and be better prepared for the next. Growing up in Massachusetts as a kid my mom always changed the curtains in fall to insulated ones and my dad would use plastic to cover the drafty windows. We used draft stoppers on doors and windows as well. You can make them with sand or rice and fabric. Your littles are the cutest. Your daughter is very talented with her needle as well. I live in rural Iowa, these winter storms were a real challenge!!! Waterloo set an all time record for snowfall in 5 days at 23.9 inches. The windchills were terrifying. Our heater went out at 2 am, but we have accumulated a few electric space heaters over the years. Luckily the next morning we were able to reset the heater. My kids are grown and gone from home but I remember the fears of having the furnace or power go out, worrying whether I could keep them safe. I will keep you and your family in my prayers!!!❤

That is a scary amount of snow. I saw a fridge magnet once that said “Doing housework when you have children is like clearing the drive whilst it’s still snowing”.

What a sweet video! I was tearing up as you were, with the uncertainty of when the snow would stop. It looked very high from the inside of the window. I missed your videos because they always pop up on Sundays. You deserve your time off. Making these for your viewing audience shouldn't be a stressful project. Your home is Gorgeous and your Daughters are precious! That's a big beautiful house and we just care that you're all safe. It couldn't have been easy for all of you being sick. I'm so sorry for all of the sickness your family has had. Please take care of yourself especially now that you are pregnant. Tell Rosie that I LOVE her pillow. She did such a neat job!!! I have to tell you that you did such a great job putting away Christmas decor and picking up. I remember those days when our kids were younger and what the house looked like if it was a snow day or we were sick. I live in NW Iowa so totally understand the weather you are dealing with.
Give yourself Grace..we who have kids all know well it is a constant. Making memories are what there is to do...❤ Praying for you and yours..God is faithful...he will not give us anymore than we can handle..Thank him...love you so much❤ a sister in Christ.

If it helps you or anyone else. Remember that if just one person lives there it will get messy anyway. I know you know how privileged you are to have your daughters making the less. Some of us only wish we had children to make messes so it would feel somewhat worth all the effort! But our reward comes from the Lord!
