I bought these irons a month ago, played 15 rounds, then returned them. I liked the performance, but the stock graphite shafts, Proj X Cypher 2 in 5.5 flex were too heavy and stiff. Furthermore, the heads showed a lot of wear and ball marks. The top line was thin and sexy, but I hated the scuffs. Going to try the Big Berthas next.

Where do you buy them that you can return them?
I bought a set and HATE them
They are sitting in the closet

How did you return them after that much use?

Look a lot nicer that the OG Paradym irons and goes to show that pure trackman numbers aren’t the best all and end all as they performed well on course really.
    Except the putter…

That’s an interesting point about the long iron distance off a mat. I get the same results with my Wilson D9 forged four and five irons 🤔

This is the perfect demonstration of why these strong lofted GI irons make no sense. They are aimed at beginners or players with low swing speed. And at a lower swing speed, the 7 iron doesn't spin and doesn't have enough height. It just doesn't work. Who are they for?

For higher handicap players that have a fast-ish swing speed.
I got the HL’s myself and with a 81 mph swing speed hit it 160-167 carry, 33 yard height average and 46 degree decent angel. I see no reason anyone would need anything else.

@@NotUrDaddiesXLT Well yes, you're right. And for you that might indeed work out greay. But, the higher the handicap, the slower the swing speed (on average). So the amount of people that actually benefit from this, is pretty small. There are probably loads of beginning / high handicap players that have trouble getting 7 iron and down airborne.

@@kooijbas agreed. I think the term high handicap is used to loosely.

No they are aimed at higher ball speeds, lower speed players would go for HL and Max Fast versions.

The 7HL numbers looked way better, more carry, much higher spin and stopping distance. Putting tips with an iron hit the ball way above the equator 10.30. top it all the way.

tried them and they felt awful !

Good honest review. Thanks for that. I actually have no interest in these irons. The silly strong lofts and chunky look at address are deal breakers for me. Those 7 iron stat's were just awful. As another poster asked: just who are they for? Beginners and high handicappers need help getting the ball airborne, not hitting line drives. Next...
