Hey Mike! Thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement; glad you liked the calendar! Terrific job sorting out the custom box floor, and the trailer fenders look right at home once you filled the sides in... I am with you on the wooden floor too; it just looks right on these old pickups! All the very best as always from me and Miss Frankers...
Just got to turn my calendar over to February. Love it! It really is professional quality.
ColdWar and WeirdBeard - My two favorite channels!
Thanks again!
Watching 👀 coldwarmotors from burnaby b.c. Canada 🇨🇦
@@weirdbeard8898 Everything ok? It’s been over a month since your last dually video. I’m starting to twitch. 😂
Scott at ColdWarMotors is a classy fella. The "boogie van" is his paint job. The 60 Fury splice is my favorite. He's very humble, but that man can do some metal/painting/rebuilding junk motors that I've never seen anywhere else on UA-cam. Nice shout out! This truck is coming along nice, and I prefer the look of a wood bed. Can't wait to see this project done!
Couldn't agree more!
@@clark9992 I was about to call out Carter Auto Restyling: Also an incredible channel.

He definitely deserves it.
Of course I watch you both and have for years, I don't understand why you don't have a million subscribers. Hang in there I'll be watching..
Nice to see you back Mike.. I hope everything is well with you and the family.
All good. Thanks for checking
Looks very good so far. The wheel wells and floor structure appear to be quite sturdy. I am looking forward to seeing the truck painted with a wood floor. It will be awesome. Keep up the good work! Also, thanks for telling us about Cold War Motors. (Happy Valentine's Day ❤ 💕 💖 💗everybody. )
Cold war motors is the best man! He's such a humble, decent human being! I am glad to know you have such good taste WB! My Stella dog is named after Frankers predecessor!
Diamond plate would add a little weight on the rear axle for somme traction .. but the wood definitely will look better.
Thank you for sharing this journey. I've enjoyed it a lot!
Both Weird Beard and Cold War Motors are excellent channels, and if you are a motor head you need to feed your head, and you can't go wrong with both of these channels on your "subscribed" list.
Tryed to get brown points for guys with glasses long beards
Truck's looking great. Your patience and hard work is paying off I think wood is the way to go for the bed. 😁
Nice shout out to Scott Mike. I've been watching CWM for years, back before the Fury splice even.
You and Scott are the best car channels on YT.
Thanks for supporting our channels
Great the truck is back, with your skill set Mike why on earth would you need to buy a C notch kit, great fabrication on the load bed indeed the whole truck so far and for me a wood bed floor will be perfect 🏴👍🏻
GR8 job 😊
Another good one. Thanks WB. Sure missed you, glad for a new video. I think wood would be beautiful.
Thanks for watching. Glad to be back
Always a good day watching Mr Weird Beard working his magic!! I have to agree with ya wood floors will look awesome in it!!
Love this build! Wood plank flooring please!!!
Yep that plymouth fury they spliced together was epic, hard to believe even after watching it all!
Tons off work and very interesting to watch
179th! Good Tuesday evening Mike! It’s looking better every time I see it.. Subscribed to Cold War Motors. Will check it out tomorrow. Roger in Pierre South Dakota
Good to have you back. I love my calendar too. I’ve watched all of those vehicles coming together. The Fury looked like the impossible dream when it was two cars. 👍💯 wooden floor! Nice job leading up to it.
I watch Cold War Motors every week. Love his channel. Expert paint and body man. You do some fine work too my friend. Love the truck. I think a wood floor would be cool ! Love to see that old Dodge back together too ! Keep up the good work !
Wood will definitely be the finishing touch! This build is really coming together!
Yup, it's gotta be wood. Might find some reclaimed wood for a good price. Have someone run it thru a planer.
Go with a wooden bed! This truck is so great! Love it. Can’t wait for the next!
That's the plan!
Since you asked, Mike, wood bed all the way! Truck’s coming along great! Nice shout out for CWM - I subscribe to channels of people I’d like to hang out with: you, Scott, Dan at DD Speed Shop, Strong’s Garage, Shed by the Tracks. The projects may not all be something I’d own, but there’s always a lesson to learn, and it’s more entertaining than watching someone weld AMD panels to a rusty cowl…
Wood for sure! Good to see you back, feels like it's been a minute.
Coldwar motors. Very. Cool. Chanel. I live in eastern Canada. Scot lives in western. Canada. Thanks
Love it Mike, looks great. That was cool from Scott sending you a Calendar.......GOOD GOING THERE SCOTT......
I look forward to cold war motors every week. Scott is an absolute metal genius! And just a really good guy. And he talks very kindly about you. If you're not subscribed to cold war motors. What are you doing with your life?! Id like to see you both hit 100,000 subs and more!
Love the truck. Definitely do the wood. Hope your scrapping Court case worked out
Impeccable! I couldn't grasp what you were doing to start with, then I had one of those 'Ahh' moments. Wish I had a tenth of the fabricating skill you have!
Wow, thanks!
Weird Beard this truck is going to be awesome. I do watch him like I watch you. He’s been waiting on your work on your Fury. He talked about it quite a bit on his channel. Great fabrication buddy on this bed. Still hoping and praying for a positive outcome on the scrap metal problem with the court. Thank you for sharing!
💯👍👊
Mike, I am loving how the truck is shaping up.
Wooden bed for sure. Anything else just wouldn't be true to the truck as it sets. You're going for that original look of a truck that's used regularly for work. So go back with wood.
If you had gone with a flashy high gloss show truck paint job, then diamond plate, or something else could have been ok, but not this time.
I haven't received notification of any new videos from UA-cam in a long time. Have you been posting? Or am I just not getting notified?
It's good to see a new video anyway.
Bout time! Where have you been man?
When ur ever ready for an intern Eugene's back yard repair ready for OKLAHOMA vacation. I'll work for free 😆. This guy is awesome at explaining what he's doing
Hello Mike, the bed really looks great, nice work. I like the idea of wooden floor. Take care and see you next time. 👍👍👍
Thanks, you too!
Wood, wood, wood. Hopefully, oak. Another great video.
Looking good Mike, I agree with the wood floor. Glad to see ya back!
I watched Scott build the blue Plymouth he built that out of scrap cars from nothing. I have been subscribed to him a long time. Very long time.
It was a great build
That's shaping up to be one heck of a cool, one of a kind, truck. 👍
Old truck is looking good Beard...Love how those wheel well come together, they look amazing...Definitely go with the wood bed, I think it will set the look right off. Great video, thanks for sharing!!!
Wood bed for the win
Mike, your really do fantastic work! It's been great watching this truck come together!
Glad you enjoy it!
go with the wood nice work as always love watching you build things
Great to see another video, I always enjoy seeing your projects
Wood bed is the best choice.
For sure
A lot of Work in the 60 Fury
Awesome a beard video again. I love this man and his work
Thank you kindly
We’re back!
Mr. Weird Beard_ Mike, you are my #1 go to UA-cam channel. Always appreciate your inovative well thought out work along with your explanations, you're a highly skilled man. Look forward to the next video, wood flooring_ definite yes. Thank you for your time to share.
Looking good Mike. And yes i prefer wood also
Just came across your channel and have enjoyed this build. Keep it original looking with the wood bed floor. Love those old Chevy step sides, had a 65 with a 327 and turbo 400 trans with 373 posi reared. That was a fun little truck to drive. Keep up the good work
The Beard is back! Can't wait to see this ol girl lay down some rubber.
Me too
I'm for a wood bed. Those wheel tubs are sick!
I love all of your videos... especially the 66 truck and the Fury videos. Your fabrication skills are awesome! Do you have merch and can you do more videos? I know the videos take a lot of time...I just look forward to them! Thanks for all of your content!
Hey Glad you're back, hope the sheet with the shady cop has sorted itself out. The bed is looking good, The Paint on the Boogie van is a work of art...when you then find out he's colour blind....thats when you roll your eyes...;D
I think engineered plastic wood for the bed is a good choice. Tough for a work truck, maintenance free, and some of the newer products look amazing! Great job, as always!🇺🇸
More videos and wood bed will look right for these truck
MIKE!!!! CONGRATS on breaking 80K subs man! Great to see the progress being made on that rig.
Looks sweet brother! I'm a Ford truck guy but I'm falling in love with this Weird Beard Chev.😉✌
Probably starting my f600 pickup build this Friday. I’m just over here stealing ideas. Don’t mind me.
Gotta be wood for the bed! Looking really good man.
Why wouldnt you have great subscribers. Your a master fabricator with so much class. Your such a pleasant person to watch and would love to work besidebyou. Keep up the great work.
Great video Mike. Keep up the great work the old truck is looking great as always im not surprised because you do great work! Hope you have more videos coming i really miss them when you dont. Thank you dude!
If you can lay your hands on some red oak, that will look flat out good. Do a standard finish on it before you lay it in but definately some oak. The red is gorgeous when its got a good finish on it. The trick to getting it right is sand each layer of varnish or whatever you pick for a sealing coat. When you can get it thick enough, you can go on with a good wet sanding. Make the finish smooth as a baby's butt. I love the original idea for the truck. Working it out, as you go, is about the only way you could get this done. I hope you remembered Valentine's bro. Your wife deserves the best you can give her.
Awesome vid as always! Went ahead and subbed to Cold War Motors also.
The wood bed is definitely the way to go. I think lightly torching the wood to highlight the grain a bit before clear coating it would look nice.
A step backwards-hilarious! You 2 are among the chillest, coolest automotive youtubers
That bed framing and the wheel wells look bad ass! I definitely think wood would finish it off perfect! Keep up the fantastic work!!!
It would be a little time-consuming, but pallet wood for the bed would be right up your alley. Cheap and available.
fabulous custom work WB...been enjoying the evolution of this truck!
It’s been awhile man what’s up W/B
Beautiful 1959 Fury ❤❤❤❤
that truck is looking fantastic Mike, you are a genius 👍
Definitely not a genius but thanks
Definitely wood! Looking forward to it
Brilliant build, looking forward to seeing it finished. Maybe use weld through primer on the bare metal on the wheel wells...save you some work later and help to keep the dreaded rust at bay a little 👍
Hello, nice to have a friendship with this old fella in Kanada and of course, take recycling wood, pine or okay from shipyards or old Houses, nicer and cheaper than new, restore wood looks fine for the deck, greetings from Germany.
Thanks for the tips!
Diamond tread would look amazing in the bed, not to mention the durability it will have over the years...
When my wood held moisture and was rotting the metal i took it out. I enjoyed the ability to work on it without it. a piece of plywood thrown down when needed worked for years:)
Coldwater rocks love them guys and the chevy is looking good bud.
Thanks as always WB
Thank you
That truck is gonna look 👍🏼
You're the master of fabrication
Really cool project. Can’t wait to see it done. But enjoying every step
A nice, finished wood bed is best!
Looking good. I vote for wood bed.
good work, keep putting out the videos, can't wait till it's all done.
Great progress on the Chevy truck. Glad to see a new video.
Really enjoy your content mick. Great projec. 👏👏👏👏👏
Possible name: HeavyDubStep
This truck is gonna turn some heads.

You got it right. I think wood is the right way to go. Keep up the awesome work!
This has been a fun build to watch can't wait to see the finished product
Glad you back can't wait to see the truck finished
Another great video. As soon as I see you have posted another one "Drop what I am doing, no interruptions till done"...................................NH OLDFART
Look fantastic.. wood would be perfect
Good to see you Mike, we love ya brother, glad you're back
Your going to start a new trend for bedside pick up's.
love your work, no messing just gets it done, thanks
Cold War motors great channel great projects great content
Truck bed looks awesome great job keep up the great work
I was like the looks of the wood beds to make it a work truck with bed because stand it with used motor oil and use some rough cut wood if you don't someone who has a mill has some dried out would look really cool
Good job man, love the fabrication.
Wood bed for sure! Scott and the gang and Frankers...I watch regularly...
Great channel
Where have you gone? Have you give up UA-cam?
I saw that cut off wheel bite you! Lol Letttttttssssss Gooooooo!
This truck is awesome !!!
Metal bed. Holds up so much better.
