I just want to know what the Hokan Ji temple looks like up close, it’s amazing how the surrounding houses are still in their original state as they were during the Samurai era. If I have the chance and fortunate enough Kyoto is definitely among one of my to visit list one day.
You’re right it is quite fascinating how the original houses are still intact. Unfortunately they are closed for tourists most of the time. It would be sweet to see it from the inside for sure. Definitely visit Kyoto if you have the opportunity as that it is one of the best places I’ve been to in Japan. 🥰 Thanks for watching.
Yes the Hokan-ji Temple was closed for some time at the time and you couldn't get inside or even into the gates at the lower base unfortunately. Would have been a great shot though. Next time will have to make it there for sure.

I thought you would have gotten more shots of the Hokanji temple. 😢 was there a problem with getting closer?
