We got the low down on shampoos and conditioners...
Of course there had to be a Target shop up when I was in NYC!
Then I shared my insight into "box dye", home hair color.
And here we are, I asked and you wanted to see it, so this time round its ALL about hair styling products from the drugstore...or chemist if you're over here in the UK with me.
There's a bit if everything, from heat protector sprays, to hair products for added volume and hold, to the ULTIMATE hair spray.
So whether you like to do a BIG blow dry, go for a sleek and smooth hair-do with a flat iron or you're a "curly girl" who likes to show off their natural textured locks, this video is for YOU.
I've also included some rather ICONIC hair styling products that get a bad rap, yet the formulations are GREAT and ultimately, they'll make doing your hair at home (or your clients hair...theres nothing bad about drug store hair care!) easier, whilst making hair styles you create last longer.
Isn't that what we ALL want?!
Please let me know what else you'd like me to cover in these series?
I have a few ideas, they're so much fun to create, happy to run with it.
And remember, you leave me a comment and I will always get back to you.

Hiya, thanks for watching! What’s your biggest “take away” from this weeks video? Is there a “shop up” you’d like to see…? 👨🏻🙏🏻✅
I will love to learn all about brushes and combs from you!!!!! Please!!!!
Okey dokey! Coming soon…they had a great selection in here. Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Yes please!
Could you please do a drugstore shampoo/conditioner and treatment videos as well please.
P.S. You are fantastic. Handsome devil ❤
That is on the list, coming soon (ish)
Thank you for your kind words! 👨🏻🙏🏻💙
Shopping with Craig is so much fun😂
I’m so pleased…and you are very kind, thanks for watching 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Can you do a shop up for fine thin hair. We need help to get our hair styled and made to feel thicker.
I certainly can! Added to list and I totally relate. Coming soon, thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻✅
Yes! That would be great.
I'd like to see a video about blonde hair dyes for bleached hair and toners. Thanks from New Zealand where we have very limited options 🇳🇿🙏
@@amethystfeathers7324Ok, I’ve added it to the list. Thanks for watching.
Hi Craig! Your energy is amazing and thank you for your fun shopping!!!! You are the besttttt! xgabrielle
A lovely Polish friend of mine bought a Moranga seed from China and the tree is absolutely beautiful! The leaves (especially) hold some many vitamins/nutrients! Love from the sun!
seed became a tree..lol
Awww, thank you Gabrielle, really appreciate your kind words and support. Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻💙
Would you consider doing a shop up for grey hair care? So many celebrities are embracing theirs now, but it's hard to know how to tame it when your lifelong soft locks seems to get replaced by werewolf hair. 😆
I sure would, added it to my list! Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻🤍
Batiste is the best….I can’t use the original version any more as the smell reminds me of hangovers 😂
It is a great formula for sure….thank goodness they have ALL the scents. I love that comment, ha. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Yes please, I’d like to see everything! I’m especially interested in what to use for root lift and the best thing to get my hair to part where I want it to, instead of where it wants to! 😂❤
Marvellous! I’ve had lots of comments requesting products for finer hair textures, so the root lift would fit it there…not sure getting your parting to stay put is such an easy fix, ha.
Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Yes! Please do a video on brushes and Combs
Marvellous! Coming soon…. 👨🏻🙌🏻✨
My daughter would not use any dry shampoo other than Batiste! I used to tell her that's nonsense but I kept trying other brands and have not yet found one that rivals Batiste.
It is a great formula and does a brilliant job. Thanks for watching.
I LOVE a pattern. I have course wavy hair from my Italian ancestry and it works so well. It’s expensive but it works for me. Shea moisture is another one that works really well. Curly girls rule ❤❤❤
It is a great line for sure, from what I’ve seen. Also like the formulas from Shea Moisture…although it gets a bad rap on digital platforms. Thanks for watching 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
As a Curly/Coily lady, I love both Pattern and Curl Smith. Quality ingredients and materials. Love that you always try to include products for your curly/coily subscribers 💕
They are great formulas for sure, glad that they work for you. Awww, thank you…I’m just glad that the drug store has a better selection for curly/coily humans now. Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻💙
Just discovered your content recently. Fantastic stuff!
Thank you! It’s great to have you following along. 👨🏻✅✨
Back when I used to have a mohawk got2b Glued was my go too, I could sleep on my mohawk and it would just spring back when I got up 😅. Now im back to my natural curly hair its not seen hairspray in a very long time but my go to product at the moment is creme of nature argan oil hair foam it gives my hair enough hold without being crunchy and my hair feels so so soft and bouncy. ❤
I LOVE the sound of that HURRR! Wahoooo.
That sounds like a lovely mousse.
Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻💙
My sister has been using frizz ease for years. I like the curlsmith weightless air dry cream. It costs a lot upfront, but it lasts a long time.
It’s a great formula…gets a lot of hate for no reason.
Ooo, thanks for sharing, I may get some to try on clients!
Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙌🏻✨
I'm currently at college doing hair dressing and there are soo many things out for hair that I still have 0 idea about, your videos are a big help! ❤❤
I’m so pleased I can help…and GO YOU! Thanks for watching and you know where I am if you ever have a question. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Love these videos!!! Especially as someone you lives in Europe. We have so different stuff than America
Thank you, really pleased you’re enjoying them. More coming soon… 👨🏻🙌🏻✨
This video just popped up in my algorithm and is perfect for me. Just subscribed ‼️
Awww, that’s great! Thanks for watching 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
The Pattern Beauty detangling serum is amazing on coily hair!✨💛😊
Ooo, that’s great to know, thanks for sharing…and watching. *Adds to cart* 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Curlsmith at the chemist? They only sell that at high end stores in the US like ulta . I am loving the choices at the store in the UK
Ahhh, I didn’t know that….think it’s exclusive to Boots on the high street…? Yes, not a bad selection at all! Thanks for watching 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Love pattern Beauty, and I have very fine, quite frizzy, wavy caucasian hair, also aging hair I'm almost 58 and I do colour my hair. I've only used the Leave in Conditioner but it was very good.
That’s great to know, thanks for sharing…and watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
DIY color tips and tricks would go viral so fast! That box dye video hooked into my algorithm and made me find you!
Love it!
Who knew eh?! Well, you did, ha.
So glad you found me, thank you for your support. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
The creme de mousse i love it is the only thing that holds my heatless curls all day
Ooo, that’s great to know it holds heat less curls, thank you for sharing! I’ve really been enjoying using it on clients. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Yes please the video about combs and brushes
Coming soon! Thanks for watching.
Absolutely love your shop up videos … I can’t tell how good it is as a non professional hairdresser… just a consumer with very little knowledge on all hair care products & ingredients… that you take time to help us & guide us in the right direction on hair care products… as it can be so overwhelming on what to buy … what with social media & all advertising telling us their products are the best … it’s hard to know what actually is … thanks again… appreciate your videos… x
What a wonderfully kind comment, thank you. It’s always been my mission to help everyone have GOOD hair, so I’m thrilled you’re enjoying the shop ups! More coming soon… 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Love your videos great info for the regular person that does there hair and dyes it with box dyes ❤❤❤❤
Thank you, really glad you’re enjoying them. Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Yes I would like to see a video on brushes I have very thick hair and I have trouble finding one that works best for me.
Ok, noted. Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
You're so knowledgeable and so sweet :) I really enjoy your channel, you're so bright! Keep shining
Goodness me, such kindness, thank you. So pleased you’re enjoying the channel. Thanks for watching and taking the time to let me know. *Waves from London* 👨🏻🙏🏻💙
Yes,video about brushes and other accessories would be fantastic.
And thank you this video. Very informative.👍👩🏻🦱
Ok noted, thank you. That’s a popular ask, so it’ll be coming soon. Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
i wish i could bring you with to actually shop with me for hair products 😂😂
love the batiste blush and flower
scent the most. the frizz ease purple serum is also lovely.
that tresemme heat defence spray is my absolute favourite. smells amazing and doesn’t leave a bunch of residue on the hair after styling.
thank you for not demonising silicones and sulphates. they might not suit everyone’s preferences and needs, but they’re not gonna make you lose your hair 😂
and right about rosemary oil not doing much for hair growth. if anyone is interested in why and how, go check out lab muffin beauty science’s video on it here on youtube ☺️
also would love brush, brand-specific and high-end haircare videos 😁
Awww, now that would be fabulous eh!
Ooo, interesting that your love the Tresemme spray, it’s a great formula. Glad you’re enjoying drug store styling.
Yeah, there is a lot of misinformation about.
Thanks for watching! 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Bougie-on-a-budget hack: Big branches of boots sell Function of Beauty booster shots with targeted ingredients for different goals, £3-4 for 2 pods. Instructions are to mix with FoB products, but of course they can be added to cheaper options. I put mine in baby shampoo, Noughty and Inkey List faves to make them extra nourishing. The curl boost shot with chia and flax is my fave, but there are loads of options.
Good idea! Controversial yet bold, I’m not a fan of FOB (from I’ve seen formula wise) but if they work for you that’s great. I’ll have to have a closer look! Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
I'm loving this series, and yes, I'd love to see a brush review and any affordable recommendations for using on short, wavy hair to achieve smooth finish with volume - without tearing at the hair. Thank you!
Thank you and thanks for watching. Ok, noted and added to list, that will be coming soon! 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
@theworldofcraig thank you so much! I'm very glad I found your channel. It's educational and entertaining, and you deserve to see more videos going viral.
@@Elle-Elle-C You are most welcome, I started my channel for lovely folks like you and I’m chuffed you’re here! 👨🏻✨✅
Another fantastic video 😊
Thank you, your kindness (and watching!) is much appreciated. 👨🏻🙏🏻💙
Thanks for the reviews. Appreciate it.
You’re welcome, thanks for watching.
New to your channel and love you and your channel 😊
Awww, that’s great, thank you and thanks for watching 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
For dry shampoo I love the Cedel Dark. Cedel is old as the hills but they make the best dark hair dry shampoo. It is the only one that doesn’t make my hair look dull after
I’ve not heard of that before, not sure we have that I the UK, I’ll check it out. Thanks for watching.
As a wavy that Pattern gel is my holy grail
Ooo, that’s good to know, thanks for watching 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Yes Please Craig. ❤
Noted. 👨🏻🙏🏻💙
Absolutely love this channel especially the shopping videos, thank you!
If you’ve done a video about this already sorry in advance but what would you suggest for hair that refuses to grow at the front of the face? 🤔
Thank you, so glad you’re enjoying them…more coming soon!
That’s a tricky one to answer as there are SO many factors in hair growth - there isn’t anything topical (except for Minoxidil) that’s clinically proven to make hair grow.
I’ve had results from LED red light (there’s a video) but they are very minimal.
And no, rosemary oil does not make hair grow, ha. Thanks for watching. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Another great video Craig. I would love to know which hair treatments are worth investing in, as well as stand out ones from the drugstore. Separately, since going through the early menopause (in my 30s), the texture of my thick hair has changed - overall it looks quite healthy, but feels brittle at the roots and sides where my greys are growing. Im also getting a very sensitive scalp. I've used things like Olaplex and Kerestase in the past which have been great for a temporary fix, but not something i can afford week in week out. Would love your recommendations on things like hair masks, leave in treatments, pre-shampoos etc thanks :)
Thank you! And thanks for sharing your hair journey. That is a great video idea, added to my list. 👨🏻🙏🏻🤍
Helpful to know Elnett isn't so harsh. My nana still uses it and has enlisted my help with her hair loss. I thought brushing through her Elnetted 'do could be an issue, but the culprit must lie elsewhere! 🧐
It’s a great product, it wouldn’t have any impact on hair loss. Thanks for watching 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
Good to know, thank you!
Could you do a review on powdered products to cover gray roots while we are trying to extend our dye jobs? Thanks‼️😊
New to your channel and really enjoying your videos!
Thank you for the effort you put in to making them and for sharing your knowledge!
I'm newish to hair products and want to try a hair mousse for my wavy hair, it forms ringlets when wet but drops to big waves when its dry without products.
Ive tried curl gel and it doesnt do much but are they are any mousses that stand out to you or anything that i should avoid?
I dont use any heat on my hair yet just because i dont know how to do it correctly in all honesty so i would be leaving it to air dry after it had the product in it. Would the elvive creme mousse be any good or not for what i need?
Sorry for all the questions
But thank you for any info you or anyone else has!
Edit: (in case it makes a difference) my hair is fine strands but theres a lot of it!
Hi there, thanks for watching and for your kind words!
Hmmm, encouraging curls with products can really be a trial and error situation - so many factors and so many product strengths/textures/holds etc.
I’m really enjoying the Loreal mousse I mentioned and they have a curly hair formula, I haven’t used it but it might be good.
I do tend to like gel, something that’s formulated for curls, the hold gives better definition often.
Please keep me updated! 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
@theworldofcraig Thank you for responding!
I have a wedding to go to in the summer so I imagine quite a few trial runs between now and then ha! I will let you know if I find anything :)
Thanks again.
The silicone police… Calm Down! 😂
Yeah, they’re best friends with the “box dye” police, ha. And all need to calm down. 👨🏻🙌🏻✅
What's your opinion on henna hair color?
Hi there, I like henna, it’s gets a bad rap and hate but it’s great.
Thank you my dear Craig❤
And thank you 👨🏻🙏🏻💙
Craig, what a helpful video this was. Thank you! I just recently found you and I am so glad!
I also just recently moved to London and cannot figure out how to deal with the frizz that the humidity is causing my hair.
I thought I knew how to style well, but I cannot get a handle on it here, and therefore I think it is the products.
I go outside and within minutes it looks terrible.
🫶🏼
Awww, I’m so pleased, thank you…and thanks for watching.
It could well be down to products to help with that - John Frieda do a spray that is very similar to Dream Coat (same lab) but much cheaper….i haven’t used it but the formula is good.
A light hairspray can also help fend off frizz from humidity. 👨🏻🙏🏻✨
You are so wonderful, thank you for the reply. I will get it today and give it a try! 🙏💫@@theworldofcraig
