What a humble actor. He said he would play Magneto whenever he was asked to, for the fans.
Multiverse saga shenanigans could present a way for him to return.
@@Unversed333If rumours going around are to be trusted, he might be...
Since Patrick Stewart reprised his role as Professor X, I need Ian to return as Magento in the MCU 🤩
No.

He plays 2 of my favorite characters of all time, pretty crazy.
X-men was the first movie I saw him in back in 2000, then it was lord of the rings. Mind-blowing if u asked me
The reason why people like Ian McKellen and Jeremy Irons always leave an impression through their performances is because they are always able to connect with the story at the level of some fundamental, universal human emotion. He mentions the Civil Rights movement here. Many of us thought of India's freedom struggle - Gandhi took the peaceful approach and Bose the offensive one.
Thank you for delighting us with your performances over the years. Love!
Every single rights issue has these sides, black rights with Malcolm x and MLK (allegory in black panther), women's rights, gay rights, animal rights.
He killed it as magneto perfect casting for infamous comic book villain.
Ian McKellen made Magneto look like US Representative Ron Paul in a caped Dr. Evil cosplay.
Singer & Hayter were thinking "Let's cast any random British old guy with Oscar-worthy acting chops!"
Imagine a beardless version of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Zeus but wearing red and purple armor. That's how a live-action Magneto should look.
ian mckellan and patrick strewart made these films evergreen. these films will never date. it was an absolute treat to watch it on VHS DVD-converted back in 2001.
Magneto is and will always be my favourite character that Ian McKellen portrayed in fact magneto was the very first character I’ve ever seen Ian McKellen Portray
Gandalf is my fav of his roles
"Yes, I'm an actor".
Magneto The Legend
Those movies were made as movies should be. A lot of thought was put into the characterisation, which meant getting good actors and building something around them.
i hope he returns as magneto
If he is watching the nwxmen 97 i bet he is saying, 'damn, ''why nobody tell me we could have this kins of scenes???''
One of my most favourite actors. I loved as Magneto. If only he came back for one more movie in the franchise. :) We didn't actually see what happened to Magneto after the time was changed in Days of Future Past. He was the only character that we didn't see in the end of the film.
superman fans triggered
First I'd heard of him. One of my favorite English actors since then.
ive always disliked superhero movies with the exception of x-men, and I think ian mckellen here articulates exactly why.
when we ask an actor/actress about their comic adaption character, these are the words we want to hear
Sir Ian McKellen has played the role of mutant overlord Magneto with brilliance and perfection 👌 👍 🥰 💞 😮😊
Uncle Ian, I was trying to make a case for Donbass since 2014. Nobody gives a rat's ass. So, yes- it's TEAM ERIK all the way. Uta Hagen, Paul Robeson, Herbert Berghof and Jose and Miguel Ferrer send their love to you and Professor X from Heaven.
Magneto is cool!
Ian McKellen is talking about the cartoon X-Men TAS which came back as X-Men '97
The answer when it comes to civil right is your only truly effective when you do both.
X-men became the most reason I grew up watching the movies
Magneto is getting old...
He's already 81. Such an awesome soul. He should live forever.
He's one of the greatest actors of all time.
The best Magneto ever!
nah, ian was good but fassbender was WAY better

I prefer him as Gandalf,
McKellen bares no resemblance to Magneto at all.
Nonsense! From this time on, whenever we think of Magneto, we will see Sir Ian in our mind's eye
No other man can play Magneto better that Sir Ian Mckellen
sure
