Evan, your content was good before, but since you decided to take the leap and be a full time farmer that UA-cam’s, it seems like your content and presentation have improved. I enjoyed watching your channel before, and I enjoy it even more now! You seem to have a better handle on projects, follow through and consistency in how you handle your property - all that translates into great videos. Glad to see you prospering!!
My husband envies you and your lifestyle so very much. Working different things and looking back what you accomplished. He is now 82 years and does not have the ability but he loves to watch younger men and women work like you guys do. Love you channel
Retired a few years ago sometimes my wife asks me how long has it been since you left the farm and says don’t you think it’s time to engage with the rest of the world.😂
I always look forward to the camera angle where we are falling, where we get that dizzy swerling feeling right before we are staring at an ant on a blade of grass....😅😅😅 its like falling but without the pain of hitting the ground.😅😊
Putting the branches into the woods is a much more efficient way of disposing of them, but I also like that they are going to make a good place for wildlife. My family lived 45 minutes from town and they always planned what was needed before heading out. It saves time and gas. I'm enjoying watching you make your property into what you want it to be. So grateful for the rain this year.
See Evan you retired but now your tired, do to all the work that needs to be done, Yup I retired and found I had more them enough to keep busy. LOL Yes planning trips to the store needs to be worked on, your getting it together and it will come easier one day LOL Thanks for sharing Love watching you and the wife work ,
I really enjoy watching your channel Evan. Your property is so beautiful. You are making it even nicer with all of the hard work and improvements that you and your lovely wife have put into it. God bless you all. Now that you are a full time farmer, keep the videos coming!
I have to say of all the U Tube videos I have watched, yours are by far the best. I have been a farmer for over 30 years and I still learn things from you. Thanks.
You're doing the right thing on clearing the fence line, in my opinion. I enjoy watching these videos, gets me charged up to do some cleaning around my farm. Thanks Evan, I hope you have a nice afternoon!
Hello, Evan and Rebekah! Your smiles since you are farming full time say it all. You are exactly where you need to be. Congratulations!!! I am happy and blessed to be able to watch you live your dream.
While it’s a tedious process, that Honey Locust makes awesome firewood. I had some given to me when I lived in Central Illinois years ago. I was amazed how much heat it produced and how well it banked overnight. The tricky part is cleaning off all those nasty thorn clusters and not ruining your tires in the process. The fellow who gave it to me had foam filled his tires because his place was overgrown with multiflora rose and Honey Locust so it wasn’t a huge deal for him. Just a thought of how to get some good out of those boogers.
I have decided your channel is my favorite. I can’t wait for a new video. You and Rebekah inspire me. By the way I’m a 70 year old woman and relive all the things I use to do through your channel. Thank you so much.
I did the same thing and then stated carrying a little notebook. It’s amazing how good it works. Every time I think of something I need or to do or purchase I write it down. Don’t be surprised how long some lists get. Enjoying the channel. Congratulations again on your retirement And enjoy your new career. More people should “Do you” but never take that leap of faith. God Bless. If you start using lists you will eventually get to a point where you have short term and long term goals/to do lists.
When I moved out to the country far from town I got where when I needed something it always waited until I had a really good list of things that ended up waiting to get done then go pickup things you need to keep going again. That running to town just wastes so much time out of a day . If it’s going to rain then that was a good time to get your stuff . And always write it down cuz you will always forget things . Can’t believe the time saving and your back you are saving with your grapple. Great video like always.
Looks great Evan, the fence line is coming alone and about ready for the fencing to go up. Great plan you have and can work out easily. Stay safe and keep up the fun around there. Thanks for sharing with us. Fred.
Well done on so many levels! Especially on the fence clearing. I've spent a GREAT deal of time on my place clearing brush and I know how satisfying it feels to me to get things so they can be mowed and be manageable. :)
The most fun tool I ever bought myself was a chainsaw. I freaked out all the men in the house ... hubs & 2 sons, who were sure Mom would cut an arm or leg off. LOL It took me awhile to learn to crank it but they finally figured they should teach me the proper way to notch and cut trees. I haven't stopped since. When you live on a mountain in the middle of nowhere, it's a constant battle to keep Mother Nature from creeping in on you. I HATE HONEY LOCUST TREES!!!!!!!!!
Consolidating errands to pick up materials, is time management. reduces mileage maintenance on your vehicles, reduces stress & by shifting gears to other projects when at a stand still for parts & avoids burn out. When i first retired, i did not leave the farm for 8 days. On day 9 i was stir crazy, went to town for materials & people to argue with.
Evan, a great big tip of my hat to you. It seems when I'm working on projects here I spend at least half of my time running back and forth to town or ordering stuff on the internet! Way to go man!!
Since I’ve retired I try to limit trips & I’ve found making a running list (for each store I need to go to ) to be a huge help & timesaver. I don’t need to try and remember everything!
Great job Evan. You are the best. I love your videos and your grace and ability to laugh at yourself and be so honest about how you break things! I can relate!
Thanks for the video. One of the key benefits for some wildlife of the locust is the thorns - greatly reduces predator traffic. On the other side, I greatly dislike getting those stuck in me so I 100% understand :)
Some of the peaches, try skinning them and poach them in tia maria if its available in the US and molasses sugar. Then serve it with custard. If tia maria isn't available, it's just a strong coffee liqueur.
Enjoy the videos immensely like the Brush pile. As a kid in Ohio we would pile our brush like that and after the first few years it was a great place to find nice mushrooms. Great content as always 👍 10:04
Living a rural life is a balancing act on getting the most done each day and this includes when we leave and go into town. I always have a minimum of 3 tasks to do when I leave my place. if you don’t you end up spending all your time driving. With time you will get to where you cherish the many days that you can stay on your place without having to go into town.
Great vid brother we enjoy all of them found you a while back when you were putting the pump together to water the garden out of the pond keep up the great work looking forward to your next vid 🤙🤙
Certainly working smarter Evan. Shopping lists are not just for groceries and I hope it all helps with your planning for the month too. The pigs and chickens are definitely reaping the rewards from the orchard this year.
You do very well with landscaping. So glad to see you finally using OSPHO. For years I suggested it with hope you'd try it. Nice knowing you like it. 👍👍👍
Evan, I like the way you have planned out what you need to do as well as what you will need to do the different jobs and that is good way to make sure everything gets done that you want to do and I think you can get all of them done.
Hi Evan, I enjoy your videos. With regards to not leaving the homestead. I try to do that as much as possible, a week or more is the norm. The homestead is my happy place. BTW, congrats on retiring early!
Enjoyed the video, it was great to see you look at the problems from a positive view. There will always be issues and repairs ,the more you do the more will happen.
Evan keep up the good work. Your property is really looking good. Amazing how much sweat equity you’ve put into it. Stay safe and well hydrated this summer. 😊
JudithB Good job Evan!! I grew mushrooms several years ago and its an interesting project!!! I need new logs to restart. I try to buy everything I need once a month to cut town trips, but I do enjoy eating lunch in town!! I keep a daily log writing down what I want to get done during the week, and what I actually do during a day, along with egg count, garden produce and the weather. Its looking like fall is coming now as the leaves are turning and falling but its really lack of rain and the heat. I need 10 more landscape timbers to finish my driveway edging project, and 12" pins, and I need some 2x4s to start on repairing the inside chicken pen next week. I am setting up everything to start finishing the front porch screening project this week.
Hello to both of you from Kentucky. Evan, I was thinking about your return hydraulic line getting pushed off by the tree limb. I was thinking that maybe you should show the section of your previous video showing what the hydraulic line looked like after the incident happened and your corrective action to TYT. I feel that although that situation was purely an accident, That nonetheless the TYT engineers should be made aware so that they possibly could make possible design adjustments to keep a similar situation like that from happening in the future.
Sooo that was poison ivy you were cutting those stumps in…I so despise that stuff. Those trees are just the right size for fire wood tho. We enjoy watching your channel on Sunday afternoons. Fall is almost here and you know what is next…WINTER.
Really liking the increased number of videos. Thanks
Me too, Evan. Enjoying seeing yours and Rebekah’s smiles!
I am thinking the same thing. Glad to see that the videos are increasing

"What did he break today!" asked my wife while I watched this episode......! But you are honest and don't disappoint.
A few UA-camrs are going with bolt bins in their shops and they say it’s the best thing they’ve done. Like the more and longer videos.
I really appreciate all the different camera angles. I know it takes a lot more time.
Retired a few years ago sometimes my wife asks me how long has it been since you left the farm and says don’t you think it’s time to engage with the rest of the world.😂

Can You Imagine how hard that clearing work was for the original settlers, or if you had to do it without the chain saw?
Heck of a job Evan, I like the editorials at the end letting us know what's coming in the future.
The grapple on that tractor saved you a ton of time and work! Thanks for keeping the videos coming!
I really enjoy watching your channel Evan. Your property is so beautiful. You are making it even nicer with all of the hard work and improvements that you and your lovely wife have put into it. God bless you all. Now that you are a full time farmer, keep the videos coming!
Remember when farmers only went to town on Saturday or once a month. Great video…stay “Farmer Strong”!

Save the cherry wood for the smoker!
Your confidence and competence with a chain saw has certainly grown over the years. Nothing tentative now

How did the stump rot work on the other stumps by the wood shed? I would like to see an after picture.
Love watching❤.

You need a grill guard on that T654! I just knew we about to get a limb through the grill video.
Great video as always mate thanks for sharing it with us all and hope you and your family and your friends are doing well god bless you all.
i like this channel ....don't burn yourself out.

This is something Evan loves to do on the farm, he also loves to cut fire wood. How do I know ? He said he did, and I love to watch him . lol
You’re doing a great job! Thank you!
Love the video! keep it up. let's hope the channel keeps growing!

Great video Evan. Thank you.
You should get yourself a 5t digger and dig those stumps out.
Great job Evan!!! I need to come fish the pond!🏆
Very nice !!!!!😊🙏👍❤️

Port Hudson Louisiana checking in, Thanks Evan and Rebekah
Those posts are going to be nice when it's all said and done. Can't wait to catch up and see how they turn out!
Hello from Norway👍
Yet another inspirational video.. thanks
Was excited to see another video this week. You are working hard Evan and it shows by how far the property has come.
Since I’ve retired I try to limit trips & I’ve found making a running list (for each store I need to go to ) to be a huge help & timesaver. I don’t need to try and remember everything!

Wow! It is impressive what a difference that made. Really looks nice
It helps me to keep track of projects by using a large dry erase board; they come in multiple sizes and I keep it in my workshop…🤔
Love all the videos.
Enjoy the videos immensely like the Brush pile. As a kid in Ohio we would pile our brush like that and after the first few years it was a great place to find nice mushrooms. Great content as always 👍 10:04
Love the new format and frequency of videos , well done Evan and keep it up 👍
Thanks for additional vidoes. You 2 are great.

You are making g great progress…Kudos 👍
The image quality is very sharp, love the way you work
The progress on the fence project looks good , but you were a little rough on the cam tho 🤣

Peach wine is ideal ,wish I had access to many ,😉
Nice future projects and your better time management regarding errands. You will get them done👍👍👍
Enjoyed the video, it was great to see you look at the problems from a positive view. There will always be issues and repairs ,the more you do the more will happen.

Keep doing this Even I really enjoy Your Work.
Evan keep up the good work. Your property is really looking good. Amazing how much sweat equity you’ve put into it. Stay safe and well hydrated this summer. 😊
Great content, the outro is also a great touch! Stay safe!
I agree with you on the honey locust tree. I stepped on a thorn from one when I was a child. It required 3 or 4 doctors visits. Ouch.
💖💖💖💖🙏🙏 Really unique filming angles and shots. Good going!
Lots of fun. Have a good day Evan.
Hello from Piqua Ohio
Evan, You should have a fuel tank for off road diesel. 50 or 100 gal tank. Hey put the camera lens in with your wall of shame pieces.
You should get some extra steers to help eat down the extra grass. You could sell them when you grow them out. Could give you an extra income.
Hi Evan I’m new at sending comments. I have an idea for the weeds in the pond. use the torch.

Enjoy this good life. Smell the roses.
I always fell trees by cutting at the base of the tree. That leaves little or no stump. Less cuts.
You have a great site, look forward to every episode..

Holy cow you're a busy guy!
Thanks!
Thank You!
You work well in your different Projects!
Looks amazing!
Nice camera angle with it mounted in the tree you are cutting down.
Ashplundh Tree Service is hiring! Ha ha 😊
You're doing a Great Job!
Sooo that was poison ivy you were cutting those stumps in…I so despise that stuff. Those trees are just the right size for fire wood tho. We enjoy watching your channel on Sunday afternoons. Fall is almost here and you know what is next…WINTER.
I am not allergic to poison ivy. But Rebekah is. That's why she doesn't help me clear the old fence lines
Don’t forget to plant asparagus along the fences and laneways
