The Ranger is a perfect addition to the property. We have a Kawasaki Mule and we couldn't live without it. Way faster than one of our tractors and it won't roll over on our steep land like a tractor will. It's constantly be used for so many chores.
Terrific job on the fence! Glad the two of you are getting this all done while you are still young. I know I couldn't do it at my age! I pray God Blesses you both, and keeps you safe. You both certainly work hard. A farmer's job is never done.
Rebekah had boots on! I ended up with my dad's ATV when he upgraded to a side by side. I want a side by side, but the cost! My 2000 Kawasaki Prairie 400 still looks pretty good and runs great. So that is what I use around my property. I have a small trailer that I pull behind it. An ATV style vehicle, or side by side, is very handy.
Awesome team work guys ! Your both amazing hard workers ! Glad that break on post hole digger didn't happen when you could of gotten hurt it could of been worse I guess 😂😂
Ha, I noticed right when you started talking about the side by side, when y'all got in it, it looked so natural didn't think twice about it, congratulations y'all will definitely get a lot use out of it!
Evan, you and Rebekah have the fence project well on the way to being done and it is looking better and better. You will fix the post hole digger, you have the knowledge and experience.
Great job Evan and Rebecca, great job working together on the fencing and getting this part done. Really looks good. You'll both enjoy the new to you folks transportation work horse and toy. It will be so handy for you folks. Stay safe and keep up the great videos and the fun you have around there. Fred.
Hello, Evan and Rebekah. Lisa and I enjoyed watching you all work together on the fence. That fence looks great, and I hated seeing what happened to your posthole digger. But for you, that should be an easy fix. I also love the new to you all, side by side. Until next time, stay safe, and may God bless your days as He always blesses ours. Donald
Hi, Evan and Rebekah! I always get excited when your notifications pop up. If I am in the middle of a different video, I pause it and go back after watching your video. You never disappoint. This video is phenomenal. Thanks for sharing your smiles and your dedication to living your dream with us.
Hello Evan, I love watching your and Rebekah’s channel. I’ve had a Polaris 500 for almost 2 yrs and love it. It’s great machine. I’m just south of you a couple hours in Union County. I worked at your courthouse for many years supplying election services to the county. You are in a beautiful area. Keep up the great work!
hi evan, just a little carpenters trick for a tiny bit more speed and accuracy, measure your length on the boards then hold your saw to then line and run the saw along the square instead of following a pencil drawn line where you made stray or wobble offline abit.
Speaking of dogs...... Your two used to be a big part of you videos, but haven't seen them in quite a while... Do you still have them? Keep up the good work!!
There's Rebbeca working with sandles again the reason I have said that many times is we r both in tje medical I've worked trauma x20yrs amongst other departments! I can even count how many injuries ranchers have bn injured with out the proper shoes and when using saws ok!! Awsome couple blessings
Rebecca is a woman of many talents I believe. I am a retired Nurse and most likely share a common dedication to helping humanity, as a Nurse or any care giver, that takes a lot of love. Here we see her toting big heavy boards, shoveling dirt, eyeing things up and just a general all around get in there and get it done person for her husband and all their goals on Country View Acres, otherwise known as home. I have a tremendous heaping of respect for you Rebecca, farm work is not for the weak or feint of heart and yet you are there in every way possible. Hats off to you and Evan, making your dreams a reality together, day by day. Oh and just to head off any disappointments, you also throw in the power of positive thinking for good measure, LOVE THAT! 💕😘 God Bless y’all!!!
I agree its definitely cast metal on that posthole digger attachment that broke, its a fresh break so yes it probably popped it when rocking back and forth that you mentioned. Fence looks great ! That ATV will be great for carrying sacks of feed and chainsaw and gas can of fuel when cutting down trees, etc. and lugging tools and tow chains, etc. very handy !
I am probably wrong but on that post hole digger did it come with that bar for installing extra weights? If not, I would guess the reason that piece cracked was the extra weight up high and driving around. I would suggest after repairing it you use a ratchet strap to support the apparatus while driving around.
Evan, you should build a small pallet for the back of the Polaris with all your tools on it. If you ever need to use the bed of the polaris for other things it would be really easy to just pick all your tools up on the pallet with the tractor and have the bed ready, empty, for whatever you want to do. Love the channel. I am really glad that you were able to quit your job and do this full time. You put out more videos now which is great for all of us. You have such great content. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You make me feel a lot better about myself as I have accidents and break things all the time. Nice to see that other people do it too. I have to admit that I am probably worse than you for breaking things. I am such a clutz. LOL
Hi guys ! So happy you had a posting ! The fence looks really good ! You go girl ...hanging fence and screwing screws in like a pro ! I am proud of you and your determination ! Always so willing to help your equally awesome husband ! Boy weve watched your farm evolve over the years and its been interresting and fun with the two of you ! Keep up the good work ! Well done you 2 !
Guys lots of respect. Love watching your videos and especially like seeing both of you work as a team. That’s what makes a great marriage . I’ve been married for 30 yrs and still love doing projects with my other half.
I have a kawasaki mule and believe you me it's the most used piece of equipment on my small property. I use it daily to do chores from cleaning the barn to carrying feed, tools. I also haul hay bales from the fields to the barn on a 5'x10' trailer 40 bales at a time. It's 24 yes old and running strong. I'd be lost without it.
If I had to pick between my side by side or my tractor ,I would have to pick the side by side. I use it everyday . They are so handy around the place. Your gonna love it. Nice job on the fence.
Hi Evan and Rebecca, I actually like the timber fence where it is. It looks fantastic kind of matches in with the rest of the things you’ve got there anyway keep up the good work always enjoy the videos ,, Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
The fence looks good, you should take a round hay bale feeder and cut it in half (half moon) and secure it to your opening. That way you can set your round bale there and you don’t need a gate, the animals eat in the lot, cuts down on waste and you can push the hay up when they can’t get to it. Works great
Will you be painting the tops of all your sawed-off wooden posts with any kind of sealant? Evan, you don't account your own strength. You likely took that bushing outside of its loading limit when you leaned on the auger with that long bar to make it dig down harder. 💪🏻😉
Love your videos and the way everything from repairs to new projects are done to the highest standards. It may seem a little OCD to some people, but in the long run it saves time and effort and looks so neat and professional.
I have followed about 8 channels for years now like i have yours. One channel I follow is a small family that homesteads in the Pacific North. I watched him build it for years. He then moved and started over in a dream location of his. He often gives back so many lessons that he has learned through the years. He said that if he were to start over again. The very first purchase would be a side by side. He continued by saying even over a tractor or skidsteer it would be a side by side. For the very reason you said you needed one for. Allllllll theeeee constant Mike's walking and transporting tools and project yo the four corners and far reaches of the property! This will really benefit your life's. I see you getting a bigger one as well in the future.
Rebekah is sure a good help mate. Working together like y'all do, that is marriage at it's very best. The fence looks great and I really love the red gates. Your new (to you) vehicle is neat as well. That will save a lot of time. Thanks for bringing is up to date...love seeing one of the little barn kitties supervising. Y'all have a Blessed day.
I just love how well you two work together. Rebekah reminds so much of myself, my late husband and I would do projects and we did equal work like you two. It's a joy to watch a team accomplish the things you do!!! 😊
Getting all this done with your plethora of handyman skills, and Rebecca's willingness to help where and when she can has got to make the process easier, but still a whole lot of work...and you have both come such a long way from when you first purchased the property. With your fabrication skills Evan, which we have seen over and over again, you sure have saved yourself a lot of money from purchasing things, and also making things to suit your needs. Rebecca is such a sweetheart, in so many ways!🙂
my thought on the end of the fence was to put a gate there. a piece of chain from the adjuster on the upper tube to the upper tractor pin would have probably let you move the digger, a lot of diggers just have a steel plate with a hole in it so it swings. i think you are going to eventually want to be able to walk all the way to the front of the loading alley -- put the gate on the other post and swing to the loading chute. if you load by your self you will need to get to the trailer gate to shut it ! you will enjoy the side by side ,we use our 4 wheeler atv for all sorts of jobs-- spraying fence building etc . have fun i know if kind of nit picked on stuff but i try to let my experiences help you out! farm and cattle for 50 years :)
Hi there, your farm are beautiful neat and organised. I like organised farming. I was a farmer many years ago but old age has taken over, I really enjoy watching all farming video s. Blessings
Just throwing an idea your way. If wanting a cheaper stained look to your board fence and posts. I always mix used motor oil and diesel fuel 50/50 in a weed sprayer, and coat my posts and boards. It adds extra element protection plus gives a stained look to the wood.
I think those extra weights for down pressure added more torque then that attachment point was designed for. Especially while driving around on uneven ground.
Might have had a little too much pressure when you were using the steel bar. Shouldn’t have broken anyway but glad you are so handy and able to fix it.
Evan drill a small hole saw bit through one side of your chainsaw scabbards and mount them at an angle inside the ranger bed. Works great to haul and keeps them out of the way in the bed
Nice job on the fence, you and Rebekah did a great job on all of the fencing. I would love to have a UTV like that one, certain a neat looking rig, congrats on the new ride. Thanks for sharing, have a great evening!
That short run of wooden fence looks beautiful! Would look great if all your fences were put up with wooden fences throughout your farm but I know it would be more work putting them in. Love your down home videos as always.
I wondered when you would get a side x side. You will find that is the most use tool on the farm. Really enjoy your videos. You guys make a great team.
Hello from Michigan, Great teamwork. Love to see couples working together instead for arguing. Evan you never stop. So glad you got a utv. Makes life a tad easier. And I got my kitty fit, That black tuxedo one should be "Bojangles", the orange kitty, "Muffin" came to mind as soon as I saw it. Just love the animals. God Bless.
Awee kitty needed some love. Just wanted some pets daddy. Beautiful kitty
Ignored the heck out of it. Poor kitty.
Impressed with your wife. She is a hard worker. Always pitching in to help.
The Ranger is a perfect addition to the property. We have a Kawasaki Mule and we couldn't live without it. Way faster than one of our tractors and it won't roll over on our steep land like a tractor will. It's constantly be used for so many chores.
Rebekah! What no flip-flops! Lol. It looks great, guys. Another great video.
They made an appearance for the fence build.
It’s ok, she’s a nurse 🩴🩴
Terrific job on the fence! Glad the two of you are getting this all done while you are still young. I know I couldn't do it at my age! I pray God Blesses you both, and keeps you safe. You both certainly work hard. A farmer's job is never done.

Your new ride will save a lot of steps, New fence sure is nice looking and well thought out,
Evan that does look like castiron. I amsure you will repair it with real steel. Good job.
Rebekah had boots on! I ended up with my dad's ATV when he upgraded to a side by side. I want a side by side, but the cost! My 2000 Kawasaki Prairie 400 still looks pretty good and runs great. Surprised and glad to see Rebekah wearing foot gear; and now for the gloves 😆
Does Rebecca ever wear her hair up when she’s working outside..
When you mentioned a dog getting in the corral, I realized it has been what seems like a long time since I have seen your dogs.
