Do you put Gesso on your pages before you paint? I would be worried about painting in a basic planner and ruining work on the other side. I am new to art journaling so I'm trying to learn all the tricks.
I love the idea of a planner being a place to creatively record daily inspiration instead of mundane busy-ness.

No, I don't use gesso. If the paint/markers/glue/etc happens to bleed through the pages, I just cover it up with something on the other side :)

Watch markers are you using over the paint?
They're paint markers! I use Posca and also some cheap copies of Posca markers haha
