@@rochelle.handmade.designs no , I'm working on McCalls M8008 right now & sort of hacking & rearranging the style of it , subtracting the upper zippers & the waist of it & just adding zipper to the lower front area , by placing the top of the jumper on the fold & adding a zipper to the back , I think it will look much better & using D rings in the place of the slide buckles , the D rings will change the position of the shoulder straps , in other words , they won't be on the outside of the jumper , they will be on the inside of the top of the jumper & changing the ( hacking ) the bottom of the jumper to a skirt , sew it will have that mermaid style look , I will leave the belt loops intact , sew I can have a nice tye belt , not making that shirt to go with it though , I don't like it with them jumpers , I decided to use McCalls M8147 , view B in the place of that other shirt , I think that one will go better with that jumper , what's your opinion of this ♥️😊 ? , I been sewing since I been 3 years old & i turn 62 next Friday the 21st

Oh I am definitely team woven but not denim or polyester in the summer. St Louis is hot and humid in the summer because we're between two rivers and there is no way that I could make something out of a shower curtain that had polyester in it . I'm not naming any names but I can't even fathom why you would want to. And there is nothing cooler than a nice linen or woven cotton a-line dress in the summer. I made one out of batiks Last Summer and I wore the heck out of it.
I bought about 25 New Look patterns when Hobby Lobby had them for 99 cents. I have made some of them and decided to make one of them again. I CANNOT FIND IT! I am nearly anal about putting items back where they belong. It has 2 dress options, one has straps with a gathered top and waist, the other has no gathers and sleeves, both have a side zip. Any idea which NL number it might be? I'm getting frantic (LOL) and tearing the place apart searching. I think it has the red NL stripe on the top of the pattern. I did enjoy the review and look forward to the next one. Thanks!

I was looking in the Simplicity book hoping they still had one with NL. Nope. I thought I might as well look in the other catalog to see if I could find something similar. Well, YEHAW! I found it McCall's 7116. So much for me being sure. LOL Thanks again.
The easy answer to it is. Some cannot look past the styling on the pattern. The way they style the model is just ughhhhhhhh! I like Butterick patterns because I can hack them, but many sewist steer away from them.
