Hi! I love your tutorial, it’s been so helpful! I’m working on View D of McCall’s M8066, and I’d like to add a lining. However, I’m unsure how to attach the lining to the back waist since it has elastic. Is there a way to do this effectively? Thank you so much for your guidance!

The first thing I do after that last stitch is in is whip off my clothes and put on my new garment! Whether it works or whether it doesn't work I will still be in it! I think I want to take part of this challenge because I am doing a make nine but to make five is a safe place!❤

So for reference I am 5’3” and 130 pounds. I agree and would never have bought the patterns you talked about they were awful. Didn5 do an6 good for anybody

McCalls 8458. I have a confession. I really bought the pattern. I thought it would be great for my daughter’s pickleball dating league. The skirt she liked but she said absolutely nixed the the top. And on the men’s version… no honey we do not wear that at Augusta.

I thought i got away from your choices clean until the last one!! I immediately loved it when i saw it and i made it in a super soft burnt orange midweight cotton jersey. I made the matching skirt tho I'd planned to make pants from another vogue lounge pattern. I actually love it but the fit isnt the best since I'm only 5'-3" and it has no shortening option for the top. AND i plan on making it again! Probably in a smaller size.

Also if you shop at Publix and the item scans for more than the shelf tag or sign you get it for free. You have to tell the cashier I want the Publix promise. You only get the first item for free and if you have more of that same item you get it for the lesser price. If there is a wrong price at any store, they are supposed to give it to you for that price, even Macys.

McCalls 8536 pants, looks like something for Halloween...LOL...terrible. I'm 71 been retired for a bit. I would rarely wear a tunic. Vogue 2026 short dress reminds me of the "Babydoll" dresses we wore late 60's early 70's. Vogue 2048 it looks heavy if that makes sense.

Brittany J Jones made this and it looked just like the pattern M8530 😮

Oh by the way, I did go to Viki Sews and I saw the measurements and I found it a bit confusing so I didn't purchase. At the time I was looking which was about (6) days ago - they were listed at 60% off. Most likely the SALE is off, but that was my experience at Viki Sews. I will probably try again later in the month. 🪡

You are hilarious 😂😂😂S9977 was actually a good pattern and my hips were at 46in at the time I sewed it and it takes only about 1 yard to sew. @the model doesn’t even look hot at m8484😂😂😂. I picked it to modify to a Zimmerman outfit I saw last year. M8515 is a hacking potential too. It’s a Zimmerman hack too. V2073 is beautiful😮😮. I want to modify this into a dress when I get my blazer skills up.

Butterick 6983 - That is one I would go for but I am the tall glamazon haha!! I am very tall and this style is definitely more suited to the taller ladies!!

Hear me out for mccalls 8541. It could work really well for the romance goth girlies. Especially options cd and. A nice gemstone colored velvet, and it would be chefs kiss. But it's not size inclusive!! Which stinks cause i wanna look like a romance goth girlie

Of those I got V2000 (at UK full price!) and V2060. Made V2000, hacked to have a lined bodice, but got the sizing wrong 😢 (in woven) so sold it to a friend, and have adapted it (not yet tried again).

I couldn't find twill at Joann's either 🤨😬 Oh well. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️
