  • This is the seventh tree in our series on planting small ornamental trees in a new part of our garden. This time we are planting a Magnolia grandiflora, also known as an Evergreen Magnolia or Bull Bay. We hope that this tree will bring great architectural interest to the garden all year with its glossy evergreen leaves and add the wow factor in late summer, into autumn with its fragrant, large flowers. In this video I cover everything you need to know on the requirements, considerations, planting and care of this tree.

I went to Turkey last June and there was the magnolia there in flower it smelt absolutely beautiful I walked passed every day but I known it might not survive in the UK so I bought magnolia fairy cream.

It’s a bit of an experiment, we will see how it does here in Shropshire 🤞
