    In this video you see the difference between nut busting torque and real torque.

    if you have a walmart near you, i think that little gen2 hypertough stubby would be a good video to push around in the scrap yard. its $54 in the US for the 4ah included.

      @singlecams fair enough. I just really wanna see how it compares to the new M12 stubby. I will sell my M12 stubby if the M18 has very similar or even better numbers.

  • @YakAttack64

    Your numbers seem way more accurate than Torque Test Channel. I’ve owned an M12 Gen 2 stubby with a 5.0 HO batt for almost 2 months and it’s failed me multiple times on lugs torqued less than 150 ft-lb’s. Guys in the shop with mid-torque Makita’s, DeWalt and Milwaukee with lower box ratings almost never fail them for the same jobs.

      I just bought the new stubby and I have been having the same issues. I'm wondering if I should try to exchange it with another one, or just make the jump up to the mid torque.

      @@singlecamstorque test channel got over 300 nut busting in reverse but yeah, still not even close to advertised or mid torque level

      Probably the bolt they used in the test is oiled, coarse thread, a new washers, that's it seems powerful, in reality it's much less...

      @@AlexY2-b6y Update: Fully charged the HO battery and now it is taking off 150 ft lbs like it is nothing! I think it may have just been that all my batteries were dying

    How does this make sense. The Torque Test Channel has confirmed stubby does 550ft to loosen and 400+ to tighten how are you only getting 257ftlbs?

    • @YakAttack64
      @YakAttack64 28 днів тому +1

      I literally own the gen 2 stubby for 2 months with a 5.0 battery and it’s failed me multiple times on lug nuts. I love it and will keep it forever but it shouldn’t have failed on lugs torqued less than 150 ft-lb multiple times

    Gr8 vid SC. The 2962 is one of the best balances of power to portability on the market imo… I have the flex fx1472z if youd wanna make a Cpl vids in the junkyard breaking stuff loose etc or whatever…didn’t know if youd used one yet and it’s a working tool not gonna hurt it. I have really liked it so far, I had the 2967 and fx1472z at the same time but the tall ass extendo grip feel of the 2967 (I think that’s what allowed them to relocate some of the electronics into the grip shrinking head size but at the cost of ergonomics imo at least) the 2767 was far better ergonomically speaking ) also the high pitched noise of the 2967 annoyed me. Now If I was driving lags the 2967 is unbeatable ime but for breaking free rusted sht here in northern Indiana tbh I felt that the flex actually did better breaking em free without jumpin around off the hex head & not only that the form factor of the fx1472z and 3.5ah stacked battery feels a lil less cumbersome than the forge and 2967 and while the flex is a lil heavier it’s made much more robustly and personally as unpopular of an opinion as it may be I preferred the fx1472z so much so I returned the 2967 and while ttc tested it once with a 6Ah but I’d like to see some others tests and experiences with it on here as there seem to be like 2 or 3 vids total on flex’s gen 2 HTIW’s on all of yt and haven’t seen it ran on a skidmore. If you’re interested Hollar. Hope you had a good thanksgiving sc✌🏻

    lol, this video is obviously BS clickbait. She is using the gen 1 M12 with a low power battery. She doesn't even SHOW the gen 2 or battery.

    Good girl, on grabbing the mid torque. 🙂👍
    That will do 90% of anything you meed done. Save the stubby for light work. Strong enouhj to pull parts off an engine & not too powerful to destroy something when running bolts in.
    The forge 6.0ah battery os a sweet setup on the mid torque.youll get all the jam from it & it's manageable for a daily driver doing suspension work. Im happy to see you have one. You'll end up loving it.
