some cars are very universal were many many engines can fit into the engine bay. Usually you will have to change the transmission. Swapping engines is very very common and if it's a common swap it won't be too difficult. And about anything you can think of has been tried or done so i'm sure your suv question is a yes.
Another awesome episode, I love watching earlier episodes to see how the show developed. Haven't noticed; do ya'll still get that much fluids on your hands? That stuff causes cancer, reproductive harm, and worse.
Took my local mechanics 1 week to take the engine out of my mustang, then 1 week to put a rebuilt one (pre-rebuilt) in the car and then 2 month to figure out why it doesn't run right (still doesn't run right). Total damage: Nearly 10 grande. FML... Never again.

The cessida is my favorite mcm build. By far. Total sleeper with mad drift/skids/chopping potential. Should of done a manual swap, and trusted who you sold it to... could have been the best car ever.
This idea would have voided the main plan behind this video. If you watched the first video where they chopped a Toyota Chaser you`re probably be aware that the idea was to show how parts could be swapped directly into lower specification models. Swapping a 1JZ into a 240SX would mean tons more custom work than they had to do here with this Cressida. Could possibly have been much more expensive too considering the rarity and increasing value of S13s
I didn't know that, I'll check it. Modified NSX are a win combo anyway, just like a supercharged S2000 (really good power balance IMO for a light sport car).
they were able to swap the engine because the two cars were a similar platform, swapping the engine from the MY09 Forester XT into the Cressida would be vastly more difficult due to the difference in models, design, manufacturer and model year, look up the car you are planning to swap into on google and most likely you will find forums dedicated to that car or brand or model year, and people who have done successful swaps. Also it would probably show what engine they used.
The engines 3.0 v6 twin cam in those cressidas r actually pretty good i owned one when i was young and whats actually pretty funny i flogged one of those golf gti turbo things like nothin all mine had was an exhaust and an intake

There is also the NSX, NA engine but still pushing at least 300+HP stock. Push it a bit and you have a little monster with smooth torque.
