- Unfortunately the Diesel Excursion project has come to an abrupt end.
Not a video I ever wanted to make, but all involved are safe, every one treated at the scene and released without hospital visits. Still working out the details of what to get next, but will update as soon as I know more. Thank you all for watching, and I greatly appreciate the support!! 💪

For sure, best of a bad situation. Projects can be replaced, people can’t. We wrapped up all the details from it a little while ago, working on follow up video to update final costs and details from dealing with the insurance companies on this one

Was the excursion repaired?
Unfortunately no, insurance totaled it with no option to buy it back because there was a loan on it at the time. It took 6 months to resolve after the fact, in the end paid the $750 deductible + all the time fighting with the insurance companies

alwaysup2late I’ve always thought it would look cool, especially if you slap on some aftermarket headlights, taillights, cab lights, etc... I cant find a specific color code (multiple codes pop up) so I might go to a Ford dealer and see if they can find the color I want.

We'll, time to get either an Excursion with a V10 or 7.3.
I've looked at both, right now looking at doing some more cool stuff to the F250. Have some new videos I'm going to put together this week about that stuff
@@alwaysup2late my 99 f250 5.4 gasser just threw a rod so I've been shopping for another one with a 7.3. I've always wanted one and now have the excuse lol. I'm wanting to find a v10 to swap in the gasser but we'll see.
@@big_johnward Ah yea, that's a bummer sorry to hear that. Plenty of reason to find another one though, 7.3s are out there. Seem to be holding their value pretty well too. There's a pretty big difference in price between the V10 and 7.3 I've found. The Triton is still being used today IIRC, cannot say the same for the V10 that's in my 96 dodge though. Parts are harder to find for that one
And....... I purchased a 99 f250, has the 7.3 with 92k. Super stoked. Ready for you to upload more maintenance and mod vids now lol.
