Thanks, appreciate you taking your time and sharing this. My two cents is to buy a flaring tool so you can make your line sets custom and not have to worry about making any loops. Love your idea of mounting the unit on two four x fours. Looking forward to seeing the finished version, also very creative with that window manifold. new subscriber
Agreed i need to learn to flare id be afraid it would leak. Also would want a nice flaring tool ive used cheap ones they dont work well. Thanks for the comment!
I installed it the same way as you. I put the connections through the window and put in a Styrofoam board because the house is rented. And I want to use it now in the crappy winter, kiss, but I've already had a big energy saving. I want to see how it performs in heating mode.
I will make a more detailed video, and everything is grounded on the cart, but no connection from cart to anything. on my old setup i used an old cord with just the ground prong and would plug it into the wall in order to ground.

@@Mikebuildss You can do it easily, you are a master of all the difficult parts of this install.

So far they seem to work good In heat mode, I used one of my others down to about 20 degrees, just not as efficient
Would like to see your window panel builds, also do you ground your 6000xp?

@@Mikebuildss thanks I was wondering the same and glad to hear that from you, do I need to also ground the solar array?
Really like to add one to my camper but don't want to spend a lot. Also don't want to be cheap. Mr.cool is too big and expensive for my 22ft trailer.
The cheap mini splits are awesome!
Great video! By going this route instead of using a Mr Cool do you still save money if you have to buy the regulator, gauge set, and vacuum pump?
Absolutely cheaper still, the tools arent that expensive, plus when your done you own them and can install more minisplits in the future!
