As a mexican which clearly means I am an expert in Mexican cuisine, I would suggest these dishes
-Elote, Mexican street food that's basically corn on the cob covered in cheese. It is heaven.
-Taquitos, rolled up tortilla filled with chicken or beef then fried, and covered with sourcream, lettuce, and more cheese on top.
    -Tamales
    -Pozole de Pollo
    -Enchiladas
    -Flan, a sweet custard dessert.
Yeah that was all I could think of on the top of the head as I genuinely don't eat a lot of Mexican food despite my heritage.
Extra Note for Josh though is that Asian Spice and Mexican (and Mezo Latin American spice in general) are very different in taste and intensity so it's possible to not like it.

I blame my dad for why Im a picky eater, he is also and the foods I refuse to eat are the foods he doesnt eat. The only reasons we are healthy, and we are healthy, is because his parents would blend the vegetables before putting them in his food and try to mask the flavor. As a parent himself now he does the same for me and my sister, who is more picky then the both of us.

Great video as always, Josh! I’m in the middle when it comes to food- I was a very picky eater when I was younger, and still kinda am to this day. My favorite foods always revolved around desserts lol.
The odd part with me now, though, is that I enjoy both the bland tasting things as well as spicy. It all really just depends on my mood at the moment as well as if my acid reflux is acting up or not lol. You really make me want to go to Japan just to experience their delicious sweets, like that soft serve, melon pan and cheese pudding (TwT)!
As for suggestions on Mexican food: Quesadillas (chicken or beef), Cajeta/Dulce de Leche/ Dulce de Leche cake (it’s heaven omg), Churros and Carnitas is what I’d recommend, but really any Mexican food is good for a try :9!

Im not the only one who despised bananas??????????? Every single time I'd eat one, I'd always choke on it but somehow still manage to force it down my throat 😭😭😤😤 Idk if its our family thing but everytime we're sick (especially severe stomach aches/diarrhea) and aren't allowed to eat dishes with oil in it, my mom would pair rice and a banana for our meal....and of course....I got traumatized...NEVER TOUCHED BANANAS AFTER THAT.

(Experience as an American) I do enjoy Japanese food, but THE SNACKS AND DESSERTS ARE OTHER WORLDLY!!! ESPECIALLY SNACKS AND CANDY!!! They taste like heaven in your mouth and are so sweet and yummy! Imma kill me a man for some melon snacks!
Also Mexican food is extremely good, and a lot of the dishes are cheap and easy to make at home in America. Quesadillas are literally just cheese, optional meat (I recommend pork) and a tortilla. Nachos are just chips with cheese melted on top with toppings.
I don’t know how easy access to Mexican food is in Malaysia but I find here in America the smaller and more hole in the wall the shop, the better the food. (💚your channel, you always make me laugh)

I grew up as a picky eater. I'm still picky, but I'm slowly trying new food. Yet despite how many foods I tried and liked, my family still roasts and mocks me for being so picky whenever we gather for dinner parties or barbeque. If I tried something and *didn't* like it, my family gets annoyed.

A sweet tooth, huh? Well, why not try sweet stuff from Mexico/popular in Mexico? I don't know how accessible these will be for you, but I recommend looking into rice pudding/Arroz con Leche, Jericaya, Churros, Tres Leches cake, and Buñuelos.
As for actual food, try the convenience store route? Stuff like Nachos, Burritos, Tacos or Tamales.
If you want to try your hand at making something Mexican/Popular in Mexico, try Ceviche (a seafood dish) or Chilaquiles (dish that is essentially fried tortillas with a sort of tomato sauce). [NOTE: If you do decide to try to make something, fair warning that most tutorials on UA-cam are in Spanish]
    Good luck, Josh!

Sopa de arroz (rice that is made with chicken bouillon onion and tomatoes)
Chile relleno (egg coated non spicy chile stuffed with queso fresco topped with a tomato sauce)
Caldo de pollo (chicken soup without the noodles basically)
Caldo de res (same as caldo we pollo but with beef)
    And tacos de asada

    Recipe for katsudon
Put pork in flour then egg and finally panko crumbs
Fry that in an air fryer if available if not heat up oil till panko sizzles
In separate pan take white wine and caramelize white onions take pork after frying and let it sit in sauce for a bit. It’s so crispy and the onions add a bit of flavor to it
This is how I do it tho others might have another recipe

i would be careful trying mexican food just because YES there is a lot of veggies in majority of the dishes (tho you cant really taste them) maybe tex mex would be more your thing.
    -churros (has cinnamon, is sweet)
-tres leches cake (it is soggy/creamy from the milk tho idk if you would like that)
    -mole with rice and beans
-empanadas (both can be a dissert or a savory dish)
-chile relleno (that is a fried relleno pepper that has cheese inside)
-caldo eaten with rice, and does contain veggies (the meat can be beef, chicken, and fish)
    - enchiladas (you have to specify if you want the Americanized version or mexican version)
    -baja fish tacos
    - mangonadas ( sweet/spicy dissert)
a lot of good dishes that i personally like, however it is fine if you are turned off by the idea of there being a lot of veggies in our dishes.

It’s not even made by real Chinese people all buffets are owned by Mongolians where I live in the USA. The saddest part is American’s can’t tell the difference because, they don’t t know what real Chinese food is. They can’t even tell what an actual Chinese person looks like. They just assume all Asians are Chinese…,they’re not. They tell me I am too pale to be Chinese. Too pale to be Chinese? ……Chinese are pale!!!!

I only like black olives, the only exception for mushrooms is on pizza. I don’t eat seafood. I legit picked out the prawns out of my noodles because I didn’t like it. I’ll only eat seafood if its fried. I like Unagi but won’t eat it all the time. Lamb is too tough for me and I didn’t like it when I first tried it. I mean if it's blandness maybe spice it up. There was a movie where someone always carried Hot sauce to spice up the food. You could do the same if ur home and it's too bland, just not u know with hot sauce if you don't like that either.
Also I think I understand ur mother, but the approach of ur grandmother (i'm to scared to write her name wrong) was probably better for u.
For example I cannot drink water. I hate it. I get a stomach ache from it. When I was a child I would rather dehydrate then drink water.
It's a bit better now, but only when I'm sick already.
