Great stills and video of Mechanics Machine Works, Inc. Love that "old timey" building and equipment. Definitely a lost art of machine rebuilding but good to see a younger person pursuing the trade.
I saw on on EBAY just the other day, full unit complete, check the size. www.ebay.com/itm/234141263728?_skw=taper+attachment&itmmeta=01JHB239T3RT10MT50X9G3KSDC&hash=item3683e82770:g:lM0AAOSwTRBhGWoi&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0CodCO1vSDjg2xNOt8By6oArEAOhPg2hPzDQIM6SwU2c4j8VFZpBRF00P39AXxz391vT9R%2F3ZCkJLZgdn--RKCjtivfbKcIimZEYPvdkkgptsTQneEBwSNsDSd099xuh6Ujdefx%2B6lpg4LsHz7mRnb%2BprcTHF13WVJ5E0cVbid5drO%2Bui1Qx6MFSHkoKQYnuSwgcEpMTQPoBMghG3f5Kt7xHHrJBd3hTdwa0uUBLLQQC%2Fi4Jp1oLG6g4svfwhLUGMaTmgQnVL%2FyfegRrhgUO1og%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5KdjeKKZQ
Been watching you rebuild Pearl, there is quite the investment of time and money, in the end there will be a great sense of satisfaction when you get operate her and to have a great piece of American machining in what will be better than new condition.
Ole pearl is coming together really nice can’t wait! I was wondering a close figure of what it cost to have a lathe bed and such ground in true these days? Thanks for sharing you rebuild in pearl!
I run that SAME Hyd oil in my 13" clausing, Only I added a Half a bottle of Lucas Oil Treatment, made it a LOT quieter as all the oil tends to stick to the gears more and get flung around better!!!!!
When the man that is operating that grinder retires who will operate that machine. Keith, I am your age work in the field repairing equipment that the company that i work for manufactures. There are 4 of us the same age, 3 in the field and 1 in the shop, and i ask our company the same question. I get no answer and they do not want to hire anyone to train them, they think that anyone can do this. Of course they will try to hire a new college graduate and pay them nothing and expect them to and want to do this work.😊

Thanks for sharing you rebuild in pearl!
It is all about the amount to grind and size, I paid just under 10K for all components to be redone.
Ok , thanks that’s about what I was thinking.
Keep up the great work! I enjoyed it!
Great video! Thanks for the update….Ric

@32:40 next inline? The same answer for any trade of whom is next to run things.
You are assuming they have no plans for the future.
A typo Keith? Peal or Pearl?
