    I’m from Saudi Arabia, and I’m amazed by how similar is native South American architecture to our traditional Saudi architecture. Thank you for sharing.

      Actually, Albuquerque, New Mexico is not in South America. New. Mexico is located in the United States of America.

    • @alnaghashmn
      @alnaghashmn 6 років тому

      Oh, I’m aware of that. I guess I should’ve said “native architecture of southern USA.
      Thanks for the clarification though.

      Eduardo, these homes are very nice. No question about it.
      As I stated in the above comment to Kizzel, these homes range anywhere from about $200,000 to $250,000 in Albuquerque's West Side, and slightly lower in Rio Rancho area.

    Sabre, yes, there are quite a number of oldie adobe-style Southwestern homes in the middle of nowhere, especially towards Northwest portion of Rio Rancho, with several acres in the middle of nowhere. However, I haven't found any that has about 50 acres. :)

      Yes, they are beautiful. Homes like these range anywhere from about $200,000 to $250,000 in Albuquerque's West Side. There are also similar homes in the West Side and Rio Rancho that range from around $180,000 to $200,000.

      Norio Hayakawa Thanks for been good sport about my comment...beside that, is a good video, love the architecture. I wonder if you live in this area?? and this is not real adobe right?? must be a material that looks like. Another thing, i have seen videos that Albuquerque at New Mexico, is a nice area to retire, nice weather, and as i have seen, properties are nice for the price, but i have also seen videos that said there is about 700 homes abandoned or foreclosure at the Rio Rancho area, how true is this???

    • @noriohaya
      @noriohaya  9 років тому

      ozzymario No, these are not real adobe. The real adobe materials are used in homes that are in native American reservations, but even then, nowadays it seems that fairly modern walls (that look like adobe) are also used......Yes, I live right here in the Albuquerque area called Rio Rancho.

    I think a more accurate term would be 'pueblo style' as they reflect the indigenous architecture of the various pueblos tribes in the area, such as Taos or Acoma Pueblos. Notice the 'zero-scaled lawns as well. A very unique part of the US. The local food is uniquely delicious!!

    • @noriohaya
      @noriohaya  9 років тому

      ZIALANDER63 You are absolutely right. "Pueblo style" is the word.

      ZIALANDER63 what's a zero scaled lawn?

    • @ZIALANDER63
      @ZIALANDER63 3 роки тому +1

      @@LucasFernandez-fk8se Sorry, I should have said, "xeriscaped" or 'dry lawn' where it is predominantly dirt, gravel, rock and a few shrubs. This helps with water conservation in dry arid places like Albuquerque.

    Pueblo style, but 'true' Pueblo style with 'real' adobes is the best way to go ! And no, it's not 'just' used on the Native Reservations as Norio states below, its all over NM, north, south, east, west ! Norio if your gonna represent NM at least make your sales pitch correct !

    • @noriohaya
      @noriohaya  7 років тому

      Of course, everybody knows that. Everybody also knows that it is all over New Mexico, north, south, east, west. But it's also prevalent in Arizona, Colorado, etc. Who says I am representing New Mexico? What makes you think this is about sales pitch? I think you totally misunderstood my point.

    God those are so weird looking I would have never guessed that people would build adobe houses for a subdivision. They are kinda ugly but so interesting to look at. I would have thought you guys would just have built Mediterranean houses like the rest of the south west and Florida

    • @noriohaya
      @noriohaya  6 років тому +1

      It seems that your are not familiar with contemporary Pueblo-style homes in the Southwest. They are quite popular in New Mexico, USA. These are not made of adobe, but quite expensive stucco walls. These houses are not cheap. In the Albuquerque area, these homes will cost anywhere from about $250,000 to $400,000. The same kind of homes will cost about a $million in Los Angeles, or even in Phoenix, Arizona.
