My wife and I just returned from Taos. I fell in love with the pueblo style houses especially on Rt. 150 to Wheeler Peak, which we climbed. We were so lucky to see the snow that fell on October 12. It was a special treat. I love that house you are building here. Thanks.
I have two adobe houses onbthe property. Looks just like your video. They might have done it. Thoreau NM by Bluewater lake. The main house has a mud room. We tried to re-tile the roof. 10'x10'. What a nightmare with the rounded wall! Its a mess now. Have a tarp over it. Nobody wants to come out and even look at it. Think I'll call them. Thanks for listening.
Hi! I am very interested in building my own home with adobe, are there any books, websites etc that you might recommend as this will be an 10% diy project
Hi ! Do it! Adobe homes are spiritual opportunities for you, your family, kin, friends. I was born in an AZ copper miningtown barrio, in 1933, during the Great Depression. My dad and his many friends built our Adobe home from the ground up in 1940 -41. It took months but what emerged was a castle to me and my mom. I remember the making of the bricks and their drying in the sun. As a Mexican-American all my dad's friends were Mexicans and knew how to raise an Adobe home. I remember the laughter, kidding, and ant like work and expertise involved. I remember the brick making... and the yard as hundreds dryring in the sun. The house went up with everything done from love and friendship... with a culminating blessing ceremony or "fiestesita". God and his saints as well as all involved are😊 embedded in that small Adobe home. Mi amigo, build your Adobe, If possible build it with the help of friends and loved ones. An owner built adobe is way much more than a mere house to live in... In a way, it is a spiritual memory vault. Vaya con Dios, Amigo❤

I have a question about this type of home build. What would be the difficulty in adding a second story to an already build adobe flat roof home?

All you needed was some corridos music playing in the background
