You help me so much. I watch you sew a complicated jacket and I think, I can do that. I wouldn’t have been able to without first watching your fabulous tutorial. You have a very unique, clear teaching style. Thank you!!
It was sooo much fun sewing this blazer!! I made a black denim floral patterned pant suit!! i will be sewing this again. Maybe i'll use double knit next. YOU ROCK Mimi G!!
Thank you for making these tutorials. Im completely lost trying to understand instructions almost all the time because i was never really taught most sewing terminology, but thanks to these videos i've been making my own suit for prom and I would not have been able to do that otherwise. I also really love you patterns. They get me excited to make clothes because trying to shop for clothes really beats me down emotionally.
Just Bought this pattern two days ago and I am eager to see what beautiful creation that comes out of this pattern when i sew it thanks for this informative video.
Thank you for this video. Clear precise instructions. Easy to follow along. Going to order the pattern today or pick it up at the store. Thanks again. Love your blog, video's and style. I will make it mix it and rock this outfit this weekend.
I absolutely love your channel!!! I have bought every pattern I could find that had Mimi G's signature printed on it because I know I could make whatever was offered with the help of your very informative tutorials, however because I am a visual learner it is difficult for me to follow a pattern by reading that complicated instructional pamphlet that come with it. I know your schedule is hectic, but could you do a step by step tutorial that helps explain the verbiage in a pattern packet? Again thanks for all that you give! You are a blessing!!! 👏🏾
Hi I've just found you on tube, I'm really enjoying your channel and its great that you do the whole garment from start to finish which is really helpful when you are new to sewing, it's great I'm so glad I've found you👌🏻😃 xx
I just learned about your and your patterns and style which I'm loving. I would like to know what type of knit fabrics you use for pattern 1167 pants and your the purple in this tutorial?
I was doing good until I thought facing and interfacing was the same thing. I have alot of stitches to pull.. I never use patterns..but I was doing this blazer and I liked the cleanliness...glad I learned
Hi Mimi, I love you channel and have followed you for a long time....I have wanted to know since I bought this pattern what fabrics did you use on the clothing pictured on your pattern envelope?
good morning Mimi my name is Nina I bought a few of your patterns but the one I'm getting ready to try it 1167 I noticed the jacket look kinda long I'm only five one where can I just add to make it shorter
I could not follow what you were doing because you are just grabbing the cloth and stitching it together without properly showing the pieces that you were sowing. You need to clearly show the pieces that you are using by holding the pieces clearly in front of the camera, so that i can identify what pieces i need to sow together and which part of the textile i need to start sowing from. Show clearly the pieces that you will be sowing. This is very hard to follow when you just grab a piece of the textile talk and begin sowing, i need to visually see clearly which pieces you are sowing together and on what side you begin sowing from. I found this tutorial very difficult to follow because i could not identify which part of the textile you began to sow another piece of the garment from.
GOOD MORN MINI MY NAME IS DESIREE I LOVE TO SEW ALONG WITH U I WANT TO TRY THE PATTERN PIC NUMBER 1167 WHICH I JUST BROUGHT HOW DO I KNOW HOW MUCH CLOTHES WILL GIVE ME THE TOP AN BOTTON FOR PATTERN D I HAVE A SIZE FORTY BUST AN THIRTY- EIGHT WAIST WHICH SIZE SHOULD BE CUTTING OUT
when you were showing how to sow a pocket, i could not figure out where to sow on the pocket because i could not see which part of the cloth you sowed it onto. I could not tell which side you were holding before you began sowing on the pocket. That was very frustrating. i took me over an hour on this pocket because i did not know what you were doing because i could not see which side of the cloth you sowed the pocket onto. please show the entire cloth and not just where you are sowing one piece of cloth onto another, show the entire piece and then where you would sow a piece onto another piece of the cloth.
mimi I've done about a dozen patterns as a new seamstress and this by far has been the most frustrating to follow. the tutorial isnt helping either!you need to SHOW the pieces before AND after you stitch them because I have no idea what things are and are supposed to look like, like other commenters are saying. the paper instructions make absolutely no sense. it took me 4 days of scratching my head and re watching this over and over just to complete the first 5-7 steps. I was very excited about this project at first
Mimi how about you do another video clarifying more on how to do the inset ie pattern piece 18 attaching to front piece. This is by far a very difficult part of the whole pattern. You are not so clear on that part. Frustrating indeed considering the money spent on this project.
Wow this pattern is so cute and your instructions are incredible. Buying this pattern now!!

Me gustan mucho tus vídeos. Gracias
Hi Mimi, how do you press the fabric with an iron so that it doesn't leave any shinings on the fabric? Do you use a special iron?
I was doing good until I thought facing and interfacing was the same thing. I have alot of stitches to pull.. I never use patterns..but I was doing this blazer and I liked the cleanliness...glad I learned

Hi MIMI! Question: Will I still need lining to create this blazer in Ponte knit?
good morning Mimi my name is Nina I bought a few of your patterns but the one I'm getting ready to try it 1167 I noticed the jacket look kinda long I'm only five one where can I just add to make it shorter
Can you please give us a update on pattern numbers.. I think some have been changed by the company.
Hello Mimi where did you get your iron from?
hello can this be done using a serger and no pockets??

Nicole Boyce pay attention if what she said
You need to have some knowledge of sewing to do this so that you’re not so confused.
Do you have a pattern for a dressy vest
