@@SeanSolo8 Crap series, but do want these figures to recreate a better version of Kenobi. Plus a Force Unleashed Battle Damaged Vader, and a bacta tank Vader with attachable arms and Iron lung.

We have a broken mask, Captain Phasma so I'd say the chances are really high!

The Kenobi Vader is the same figure as the ANH version. The helmet is a bit better but it's the exact same figure. I do agree that an update should have been done. Single jointed knees and some butterfly joints would have been nice, and as you mentioned, alternate hands for sure. Great review!

I bouht this version and i must say the obi wan ver is probably my favorite version of vader. The red tinted lens is beautiful, the cape also flows very easily, and the articulation is decent. But i do wish we got vertical hinge on the right arm instead of side to side hinge, but it still poses beautifully and looks menacing.

How come no ones mentioned how small Darth Vader's shoulders are? It makes his head look massive. Darth in the SW movies had big shoulders due to Dave Prowse's physique.

Yea, that helmet looks way better. The cape is awesome. Definitely should have done more with him to make him more desirable to collectors that already have him.

He should have come with 2 different set of hands . He needs a fist hand. Hasbro just take the piss out of star wars collectors . Price increases with no accessories. Marvel legends you get way more stuff.

I'm going to get this Darth Vader I have the empire strikes back Vader still in the box, but I like the detailing on this Vader slightly more. Good video review like always Sean solo8 I look forward to your other figure reviews for the Kenobi line like Reva, the grand inquisitor, fifth brother, fourth sister, and obi wan Kenobi. I'm definitely going to preorder all of these figures.

To compare the Kenobie version of Vader isn’t a fair comparison. If you remember kenobie happens before “ a new hope” and the helmet is larger on the actor as are the details on the respirator box etc. the lenses in the helmet have a different color etc . By the time the empire strikes back was filmed they “revamped “ the costume and although it was more updated and cleaner it did not compare to the girth and menacing size of the original costume . If you compare this to the new hope case I would be very interested although I’m going to compare myself since I was lucky enough to find one of these . Love your channel thanks for the reviews !!

It's not new, it's a lazy repaint of the ANH Vader, which people seem to be forgetting about somehow.

I have this figure. And I love it. But the shoulder armor bothers me a bit. It's not accurate to the Kenobi series. And the cape is unnecessarily long. But I think it was worth the money for sure!

I have the ESB vasder and still tempted by this one. I only opened the Vader yesterday as the robes on his right side had bunched up at the front and had to move some of it round the back. It was irritating me even in the box.
I would still prefer a smaller cape.

I think this Vader is the same as the 40th anniversary Vader and the other other single card Vader I did tuck the robes under his shoulder pads and he does look the same as this figure so for those collectors who wants to know if this is the same Vader from before I think he is especially with that left hand It looks the same re release of the 40th just without the orange eyes

I have the Red line and the ESB Darth Vader. Man the Kenobi version is identical as ANH (Red Line). That is a repack. I almost buy that online. Glad I did not.

It's too bad they didn't include a breakaway helmet and some battle damage. That would have been an instant purchase. Maybe they're saving that for a later release.

I have the other Vader figure so didn't bother with the Kenobi version, Hasbro should have made a battle damaged version which would have been much better.

It’s 100%, I watched an interview and Hasbro said he’s coming.
For some reason I've only got the carbonised version, so I'll be getting this one as it seems like the definitive version (for now!).
I never did get the carbonized version. I may grab the white one that’s coming. This is definitely recommended if you don’t have any yet!

the one thing I hate about ESB vader is the cape can be rotated around and in reverse, is it the same in this update or has it been finally fixed? another thing about the update is can the neck be tilted up/down?
The neck is the same with very limited movement. As for the cape it definitely doesn’t slide around like the Empire version, it’s nice and tight around his neck, no movement at all. Thanks for asking I never noticed until now.
Can you put Vader's arms folded like the end of Revenge of the Sith?
Yes this Vader is very good. Would work better with alternate hands though
The helmet sculpt is far superior on the Kenobi version.

This is great, I pre ordered obi show versions of vader's helmet, hot toys vader, and vader force fx saber. Should I get the obi show version or cancel my pre order and wait for rots 20th anniversay (2025) and get rots versions?

Welcome to the hobby and I’d definitely just wait for this one. Has a few features like the eyes that are better!
I'd rather get the ESB than this. Don't give in to the hype. You can still find the ANH Vader from years ago which is basically this figure but better. The ESB version has superior articulation than either of them, though. It also has the black eyes and a shinier helmet, with silver brushing on the neck.

@@SeanSolo8 So far I'm seeing a lot of using superglue but I'm a literal NOOB HAHA some nail polish which I use in Gunpla but that's different and easier to disassemble since it's a model kit l. Soo yeahh

@@SeanSolo8 so I’m looking at the “Kenobi/Dark-times” Vader and the “ New Hope” Vader that came carded in with the “early bird “ set . This appears to be the same figure for the exception of paint applications and the way the cloth goods are attached . The “New Hope “
has cloth goods on the outside or rather draped over the armored yoke . Where the “ Kenobi/Dark-times” Vader has the cloth goods running under the armored yoke . The throat of the “Kenobi/Dark-Times” has a silver paint application. Where the “New Hope” does not . The two tone black (matte and gloss ) boots are more pronounced on the “New Hope” . I totally agree if they went to the trouble of changing the cloth goods and sprucing the paint a little , why didn’t they do a slight upgrade ? I understand the cost of tooling is ridiculously expensive but I doubt Vader ever is a peg warmer . If nothing more that a little more head movement and some articulation at the waist . All in all it is a great figure I’m not saying it isn’t . But if you have the “New hope “ it’s the same . But for any of you that missed it here is your chance .
Yep, I missed out on the New Hope version. Also the New Hope Version has a variant but it’s rare, one has dark eyes and one has red eyes.
