Nick, I really enjoy watching your videos. I struggle with depression and anxiety and the holidays is a very difficult time for me. Your videos brighten up my day and I realize listening to you talk about plants brings me joy. Sometimes I'll just be laying in bed and put on a video of you or if I'm working around my apartment I'll put your video on and it's soothes me. I'm thankful for you Nick! Keep doing what you do! Love from AZ ❤️💛🧡💚
Anxiety and depression have been my companions for decades. I also use calm and soothing vids as a kind of therapy. Try ASMR type vids if you don't already. I recommend Buddhist philosophy and meditation as well as time outdoors as much as possible. May you have happiness and the causes of happiness.
What a windfall! Steve's Leaves is fantastic. Their plants are always healthy, lush and full at a fair price. I also love that they provide a plant tag with every single plant!
Seems like Steve's Leaves sends the biggest, healthiest plants, packed with care and you actually have a better chance of success with an established plant. That was fun, Nick! Good to see you excited about them!
So I'm lucky enough to leave about 10 minutes from Steve's Leaves, which is a great excuse to order more plants & pick them up local. All beautiful plants & not surprising, coming from them. Awesome video!
I learned about Steve's Leaves from you and have been very pleased with them. Really good quality plants and you can get great plants@ great prices when you catch them on a special! Thx for turning me on to them!!
OMG you’re so freaking adorable I love how you get so excited whenever you opened the box & how you know all the names on all your plants 🪴 wow beautiful love your videos.
Steve's Leaves is the one an only online nursery that I'll order from! I love their auction! I've gotten many of my "must have" plants from Steve's auctions.
Amazing video! Loved it. 💚 Have heard a lot of good things about Steve's Leaves but haven't bought from them yet. Maybe it's time. Thanks for sharing the names of your beautiful new plants. The Syngonium and Pilea were my favorite. Lucky you!!!
Oh man! I wish I would of seen this 2 days ago!! I just spent $100 on 6 plants from another shop, but for smaller plants!! Plants that Steve’s Leaves has bigger plants for a little less $… Uggg!! Next bonus check is going to Steve’s Leaves for sure!!! Thank you for the reminder!!
Hi Nick! OMGolly you received some beautiful plants! It was so nice of Steve's Leaves to send you those. It was so much fun watching, and listening, to you as you unwrapped each plant. I checked their website and a lot of them are sold out. I do hope that you will take us along when you repot these beauties, and what cache pots you'll put your peperomias in. I always love seeing what pota are used for different plants. Thank you so much for sharing!
I love your videos . Been growing plants since i was a kid. In the way back time. I never heard of Steve's leaves until now. Will be ordering from them and will definitely mention i learned of them from your video.
I am so happy you get to do this with your day and life! Happy for your gifts you got today! I love steves leaves and I did buy my first order from them in June 2021 because of watching your videos! 3 orders it is by far the best plants I have ever ordered, once my shipment was a week late and "lost" and all 4 plants still srrived perfect and all my plants ordered from them are all alive and thriving! Thankyou Nick snd Steves Leaves
Oh my gosh! So exciting being there with you unboxing those beautiful treasures! Can’t wait to see your videos a year from now with an update of all these wonderful plants from your Steve’s Leaves unboxing video!!! Such healthy, beautiful plants!!! ❤️
Oh goodness I just love your videos - you're such a treat. This was so much fun to watch! That syngonium... gorgeous. I've never heard of it before - it has now been added to my wish list. Please keep us updated on the new additions to your collection.
Wow, that was a nice haul! Love how full and big the plants are. Love that last begonia! Stunning, just stunning! Can’t wait to see all these plants potted up. Updates, soon please!
More vids about the jewel orchid!! I’ve always wanted one and would love to know more about care :) also love the unboxing videos. The Freckled Leaf and Bumble plants are where I’ve ordered from. Succulents box is highly disappointing in my experience lol.
What a stunning group of plants and you seem so excited and amazed. I love my Ludisia Discolor-they like to be moist, not wet, they root well in water and I always look forward to the blooms end of Jan. or Feb. in Zone 7 and last a month. The fuzzy leaves are a real bonus. Stems run along surface of soil so mine is in a wider bowl to allow for that. Your other plants are to die for-good luck with them all.
What a lovely collection ! I can assure you , that Orchid is VERY easy ! I was in hospital for 3 months and though it looked sad when I got home ( It had not been watered all that time!) but it's back and beautiful ! Also, if in a bright but not sunny spot, those veins will become a brighter red. A truly lovely plant ! I loved all that came out of that box, hope Steve's Leaves will ship to Canada in the warmer months!
I finally bit the bullet during their Black Friday sale and got two plants that I’ve had my eyes on. I got the albo standleyana and “Llano-Carti Road” syngonium.
Fun fact: The Euphorbia leuconeura is called "spitting palm" in German. Because they spit their seeds several meters out. :D I recently found one in a pot of Scindapsus. Free plant, yay!
I placed two Steve’s leaves orders today for Black Friday because the first one was my main purchase, but then I got the notification that THREE of my wishlists plants had been restocked! So of course I had to make a second order. #noshame #noregrets What a lovely unboxed saying. They are so generous and truly send their customers the best of the best.
That’s amazing because I’ve not found a single plant that I wanted available on the site in weeks!!! They keep texting and emailing but NOTHING is ever available. 🥺
@@andreamonroe2728, start checking their website on Fridays around 11am eastern time. They restock on Fridays. I actually can't remember exactly what time I noticed they download entries but if you start early you'll have good luck.
So nice to see you got a Madagascar Jewel. I have one and I never hear about them. Just love mine. It grows quickly, or mine does and is always putting out new leaves. As the plant matures the white on the leaves disappears. So cool.
I think I'm speaking on behalf of all my countryplantmenandwomen - Poland is green 💚 with envy for America having Steve's Leaves 😉 P.S. I have a h. globulosa and it looks quite different. Yours has much more h. Welsh Mountain Zoo vibes for me with those undulated edges. P.S.2 Ludisia Discolor doesn't like to get dry - it has a very shy root system and if you let it dry out it will wilt and some leaves will not bounce back. It is also a crawler so some grow it in shallow but wide planters so that it can scramble and root as it goes along. I grow mine in pure sphagnum moss and it seems to love it - it doesn't need a tremendous amount of humidity as well. I love this one so much and it got me into jewel orchids - Macodes Petola is another one you absolutely must check out 😍
when I needed an impromptu taller humidity chamber I used an old fishtank turned up on its side and covered the open side with plastic. It worked really well and tanks can often be found second hand- it wouldn't matter if the tank leaks since it won't be holding water.
Thanks, Nick for another great unboxing video! Highly recommend Steve’s Leaves, Logees and Potted Elephant for online plant buying in the US, never disappointed like other sites that are hit and miss.....
Can I just say, I am new to your channel, and I find your personality to be infectious. That could be a good indication of why you have so many followers, but your knowledge I find very useful. Carry on 😉
Steve's Leaves is the best. Please do an episode just on begonias when you're ready, I want your input before I put in an order for a bunch of begonias from Steve's. Thanks!
I have a Euphorbia leuconeura (Madagascar Jewel) I inherited from my Oma and it is now a huge plant over three feet tall and maybe 10 yrs old. In the spring it flowers from the stem and then suddenly the seeds spit out like rockets! They go pinging off my window or walls, and whatever pot of soil they land in baby plants appear. It's hilarious and one of the more interesting plants in my collection.
Yes i agree they are great and reasonable love your new plants me i got a Pointsetta and a Holiday Cactus plus a Gold Dust which was on clearance. Moving soon so just little ones to bring some hiday cheer
Nick, I always enjoy your unboxing. Especially Steve’s leaves because they are the top of my list to purchase from. I am so happy they sent you the begonia polygonoides. It is by far not a fussy begonia. You are going to love it and soon it will be on your recommendation list. The silver band is not far behind on easy care….as far as the orchid I have found that putting some orchid bark on the top around the soil really helps it. And also to mist it here and there to give it a little extra humidity. I have had my eye on the peperomia elongata and after that unboxing I’m going to have to get me one and get on the list for the Hoya globulosa. Wow, such a beautiful speciman! Also, if you have an Albertsons or Tom Thumb near you, this time of year,i have already bought myself one again this year they have amaryllis in a tall glass vase and in a pinch it makes for a really good cloche that the other begonia will fit in!
Nick, that Fuzzy Mystery is gonna blow you away. I've had mine a little over a year and it has nearly tripled in size. Plus, it arrived with a couple of broken leaves which a propagated and that pot is already bigger than the original 4". It may get floppy. Mine are staked with wood skewers and I keep the flowers clipped off. The peperomia elongata is stunning. Mine has bloomed repeatedly. Those rat tails are huge and I've had up to three at a time which make it a bit too heavy if it's not in a ceramic cache pot. Mine likes to be kept pretty moist. New leaves seem to come in a bit deformed if the moisture isn't consistent. Ask me how I know. 😕 Totally worth it though!
You are one lucky guy I enjoy watching you unbox you ever know what you are getting after your last one a few months ago you got a plant I’ve been wanting the Siderous Fasciatus I had mine for 42 years so now I have ordered one in the summer they get lots of lavender colored flowers it gets the same color flower as Transcantia but larger it is one of my all time favorite plant it’s so fuzzy I guess people aren’t aware. of them I think they would become popular they are so unique thanks for sharing
One reason is it's slow to grow and propagate. Another reason is people's eyes glaze over when it's mentioned it is related to Tradescantias and Wandering Jews.
Nick, I really enjoy watching your videos. I struggle with depression and anxiety and the holidays is a very difficult time for me.
