They turned out amazing. Would this method work if I wanted to imprint my dogs paw print? no lead imprint, just pouring it into the moulds and then using his paw to leave the impression?
It's not so hard to remove the leaves afterwards. Like the video shows, what doesnt come off in the first round, once you spray them with water and let soak, they came off very easily. I used an old toothbrush. Thank you for the video, I have recently done this with rhubarb leaves. My first try and I never used any oil spray on my leaves either. They came out beautiful! I just never thought to put my initials and year on the backside. Great tip!!
I truly believe that I have stumbled upon the Bob Ross of gardening.
Can't wait to try this. Thank you the only video that has inspired me. So well explained and relaxing to watch
He said 3 words and I thought “it’s Bob Ross!”
Alright a new project for my garden.
good idea - prepare silicone patterns from leaves and use them after
Thank you for a great lesson in stone making! Congratulations and keep up your lessons, very informational! Have a blessed day!
Love those stepping stones, Scott,,
How wonderful. I love the imprint of the leaves.
If you spray the leaves with cooking spray before the cement, they come off ver easily.
Good suggestion. Thanks.
thank you. its beautiful and the instructions are great!
Love them! Great demo! 🌿🌿🌿
Enjoyed that
Wonderful love them, Great job

Yes, it can work, but be sure to wash his paws well after exposure to the concrete.
@@GardenerScott thanks so much!! appreciate the fast response.
This is such a cute idea!
And they're a good way to remember successful gardens.
Did you use Portland cement or the kind with gravel in it? Thanks!
I used a concrete mix that had gravel in it.
ohhhh
I wish you would’ve shown these placed in a flowerbed setting or wherever you put them
They are visible in other videos of mine shortly after this one.
Can oil of some kind be sprayed before adding the concrete to aid separation?
Sure. Basic vegetable oil can do the job.
Can you use plastic wrap between leaf & concrete for easier removal?
You can. I have seen plastic folds transfer to the concrete, so that may be a slight issue.
....can you use Quikrete instead of the concrete ?
Sure. Quikrete is a common concrete mix.
Is there anything you can’t do? I thought you only grew plants, but I was wrong. I’m going to give it a try...
Where is the follow up video to this one?
Yay!
thank you, it's great instruction
thank you very much
You are welcome
What are your proportions in your concrete mixture
I use a pre-mixed bagged concrete mix and add water per the instructions.
Love this video, planning to make some soon. Thanks for your easy to follow instructions...
You're welcome. Thanks.
10 months later, I’m finally doing it! Would it work with plastic, ornamental leaves? Would remove from concrete easier? Anyone ever tried this?
It will work with plastic leaves, but you will want to coat them with vegetable oil or something similar to make removal easier.
@@GardenerScott I’m off to the races!

❤❤❤
I think I would use a plastic brush to remove the leavea. This seems too painstaking to do this by hand. Thanks for this vid!
Great idea, David. After doing this video, and doing it that way repeatedly, I found that an old toothbrush was a perfect tool.
