- Wolfenstein the Old Blood, the prequel to Wolfenstein the New Order, which was kind of a sequel to Wolfenstein 2009, which was kind of a sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein (which was a reboot despite the fact that it sounds like a sequel) and the the sequel to New Order was Wolfenstein 2. I’ve played through the entire new Wolfenstein series multiple times and somehow never knew you could block melee attacks

In the first mission where your getting mauled and such by dogs, pretty sure there's a prompt to block as well as occasionally other situations as well.
If you hated the climbing mechanics in this game, you would definitely have a hard time in MW2.

I really like how Machine Games made a smaller scale game. It's like those AA games that we've been missing.
I was so happy when defeating the Big Mummy, because I ran out of AR ammo so I threw a knife. I Pogged. And laughed. The big bad boss. Died from a butterknife.
It was the best day. Until I remembered I accidentally saved the old man instead of Annette, and was left with the heartbreaking scene of Annette’s girlfriend trying to find her.
Still Knife-Throw’d a Demon to death, tho!

IMO Old Blood is a lot more refined and smooth and its playable on all modern platforms.. RTCW is a great game but it definitely needs a remaster or a port of some kind

Oh yeah and wolfenstein 2009 which despite no longer being available to purchase is the single most important game in the timeline, with bj messing with time at the end resulting in new order or I guess technically the old blood

This game was released at $20 and is a masterpiece. We'll never see this type of stand alone dlc for a shooter of this quality(good story + content) for twenty bucks.
There is nothing wrong with Wolfenstein having Magic Zombies. At all. Wolfenstein is already a premise where the Nazis won bootlegging Jewish technology. It’s built on cooky shit and it doesn’t limit itself due to that.
Plus this game is a grounded look at what happened when the Imperium of Man first encountered Chaos.
Wolfenstein 3D (1992) had zombies too, so it's canon.
Was this before or after Ayn Rand left us to go punch out a Chaos God through The Warp and came back in the 70's as something... stranger... and also in the body of Milton Friedman...?
@@bluebay0 Same as Return to Castle Wolfenstien back in the early 2000s funnily enough I think thats why they added Helga at the castle for this DLC considering what she lead in RTCW.
This is the same canon as RtCW and Wolfenstein 2009. So it's BOTH supernatural horror and campy dieselpunk. They've just separated the themes. Sadly New Blood ducked it all up:(

I understand people forgetting Spear of Destiny introducing full on paranormal stuff into Wolfenstein but why does everyone forget Return to Castle Wolfenstein which Old Blood acts as a sidegrade (not saying thats bad, just that it retreads alot in its own way) reboot of?
Heck, RtCW even gets a free fan mod on steam as a extra download to not only act as a source port for modern hardware but also to mix exclusive stuff from the console ports that acted unintentionally as expansions in their own way. For how dirt cheap the base game is, its definately worth a try to see where modern new order and old blood took its influences from series wise.

I feel Austin 100%, I've basically been playing nothing but apex legends for the last 2 years or so minus a few games here and there, so standing still is just not something I ever do in video games now.
