Thanks very much for this. I could not work out from the manual how to link (sequence) separate drum patterns together, so this was very helpful. However, I cannot see the R8's screen properly in the video, and I *think* I have the process down from what you said, but was wondering if you could either create another, 5 minute video dedicated specifically to sequencing the drum patters (and with a clear view of the screen), OR whether you could type out the steps below. Many thanks.
Best tutorial on UA-cam! Less confusing and straight to the point. One thing i'm wondering about: Using 2 different beats in a song and 3 different roll fills to introduce them would take 5 tracks assigned for the drums alone leaving me short for other instruments and vocals. Is there a way to mix of all of the 5 assigned & sequenced drum tracks programmed and bounce the whole resulting drum performance audio in stereo onto 2 tracks?
How would you compare the zoom R8 with the boss br1200. That's only if you have used the br1200?!? Thanks for your time and effort making this video!. Excellent utube channel. Thankyou Very Much
ok dumb question not in the manual, does the drum pattern y select just keep running for 99 bars, and is that long enough for a 3 minute song?or have y gotta manually extend the pattern somehow?i havent got the r8 yet so i dont know.
@@RustyWeaveStudios thankyou so much,i saw a russian guy use the rythym pattern on here, really good beats, liked the accoustic kit ,cant see myself fiddling around with drum edits..ill have to wait to find out if y just press stop where it ends ...
That is the tricky part. I do it by putting down one drum beat to the entire song with one guitar first. I don't know how you would piece meal it together. Watch a couple of those "live streams". I know it's painful with that qual of camera but should give you an idea of how I do it.
You're really selling this machine :) Great demo
Saved me a lot of time. thanks for sharing

Look for my infinite drum tracks video. Basically a way to free up tracks using more projects for one tune.

No problem! Thank you! I have not used the br1200. I'll look it up!
@@RustyWeaveStudios Thanks very much
Very helpful video man. I'm looking at picking one of these up. How are the chorus and reverb effects?
Sound alright.
Thank you for the info
Np
did you for get to pay your light bill ... its kinda dark lmao but good job at explaining ... do you think this is easer that tascam thanks
Not familiar with tascam :(
Tascam is maybe more durable. Less plastics.
I lik the oom r8s dist for. Guitar, Too....
Yup me too. 03 left pan and 21 right pan. ;)
Why can't we hear the guitar and just record drums live over the track and also can we adjust the midi auto correct amount???

99 bars would be tons. 3 minutes is like around 40 bars ish. Should not be an issue.

Thanks for the tutorial. Is it possible to do this even in real time? Say, record a first loop and then other parts without stopping? Cool tune BTW.
would love to and have been thinking about that. The cam and setup is tricky. :(
How do you get the different tracks to start and stop where you want when building the song structure??? I’ve been trying for hours to figure this out

@@RustyWeaveStudios so y just press stop when y got enough bars for the whole song?and thats what the project length is? im hopin thats it...
Is there a way to tap the drums while the guitar tracks play?
Not that I know of.
@@RustyWeaveStudios zoom really messed up with this
@milkteaalliance1748 Yes they did. Could've been easier. Might as well left it out. Just use a drumcomputer.
I think by not allowing live drum recording they have sucked all the fun out of this device and made it a time wasting pointless endevour
Just use the recorder. And a good EASY TO PROGRAM drumcomputer lol
