Lake Ann Trail, North Cascades with Relaxing Music

The Lake Ann Trail, in Washington's North Cascades, provides spectacular views of Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker. It is wonderful in the Fall when the blueberries are red. The trail is approximately 8.6 miles round trip, depending on how much you wander at the lake. There is 2047' of elevation gain. Unfortunately 900' are at the end, climbing out of a valley when you're already tired. The views make it well worth the effort.
The trail starts just above the Mount Baker Ski Area, on the left side of Highway 542.
