Great video. I've just changed the original rubber gasket on my 2010 classic 😱😱, it had only just started to leak after 12 years of use. No writing on my replacement gasket, so thanks for the heads-up on which way round the chamfer goes
I got a longer version of the machine screw that holds the screen on. By turning it through and it being longer it eventually pushes the screen rest off.
It’s most likely stuck with corrosion/scale. Try tapping with something non metallic so not to damage. In the past I have removed by putting a large Allen key in one of the 2 holes and levered it out. Good luck.
Thanks for this. I got a "Tune Up Kit" from Amazon. Silicone gasket, brass shower plate and IMS Precision shower screen @$44
Straight to the point and clear instructions, cheers mate.
No worries
Excellent idea with using the screw to pull the old gasket out. Worked perfectly

Where to get the shims?
The shim (only one needed) came with the kit. Not sure where to buy separate.
Thanks for the clear and 'REAL TO LIFE' video. Unfortunately your link to purchase the silicone gasket is no longer working. Thanks for the video.
Hi thanks.
If you need the gasket they are still for sale via various sellers on eBay.

My screen rest is stuck to the boiler, even tried grabbing it with adjustable pliers with no luck. Any ideas?

Why is the coffee maker so dirty?
Is this the o ring 8.5mm depth?
Correct
@@TRISTANorTRIS thank you! 😁
I cannot take out the second piece on Min 3:52, it's stuck badly, any advice?

@@TRISTANorTRIS Still impossible. It feels that the black rubber has truly stuck to the area...

Nice one. You may as well descale the machine too if the history is unknown.
@@TRISTANorTRIS oh yes definitely it needs proper care. I have a look at it and it's extra dirty, there was even spider net inside🤣
How did you manage to make it work? I cannot take out the second piece on Min 3:52, it's stuck badly, any advice?
Thanks for the video!
