Three families funded the majority of the church, Fountaine, Bolyen, and the Brigge family. I have tracked my family back to the last know Brigge , William atte Brigge living in Salle, 1334. If and when you travel around Cambridgeshire try and get to Peterborough cathedral, Katherine of Aragon is buried there, she died in Kimbolton castle in 1536, the nearest abby/cathedral to kimbolton is Peterborough, so this became her last resting place.
Nice buttresses. Always cool to see inside old churches like that. Tho you do wonder if the community would have been better served if they had spent the money on food for the poor?! They do look awesome tho. Thanks for sharing.
