Shout out from Southern California, this is definitely the best Cummins channel on the tube!!! As a new Cummins owner your videos have helped me learn my beast
No shit gets this shit for free from fleece and this what he put on!!! no one cares about stock shit on a 6.7 2nd gen swap like everyone does, and the new exhaust brake!!
JD Kirane compounds??? Where the fuck would he put them.. the first turbo is already mounted to the transmission!! Hahah These new trucks are rediculous!
Yes compounds with a second gen swap....turn the exhaust manifold to face upward and the other turbo under it...in sure there is a way to make it work....
With VGT there's really no need for compounds. The point would be high boost on tap with little lag, and with the bone stock VGT you get both of those at least to the extent needed for a good tow rig. Only benefit to compounds over single VGT in a true tow/daily application I could see is lower drive pressure resulting in slightly lower EGT.
Replaced the factory 351ve with the 351cw cheetah on my ‘08 for all the same reasons. Keeping stock, exhaust brake AND easiest way to deal with turbo swap with their Fleece Cheetah being 100% drop in. I’ve had mine on for 3 years now. Done a lot of long trips with the camper in tow. Sporting around town. I absolutely love that turbo. Now, I didn’t know they made a factory locating steed manifold. Definitely going to have to do that.
That’s funny that’s the same set up I was just talking about doing to my truck with one of the guys at freedom can’t wait to see how it preforms so I know what to expect.
I have this exact turbo setup on my 2012 Ram and it is night and day difference. It improves the trucks performance so much. I do a lot of towing with it and pulling hills it just plain goes. The turbo whistle is loud with this turbo as well.
I had a fleece cheetah 351cw on my 04 5.9, and for towing it sucked, and it didn’t spool anywhere near as fast as I had hoped. Replaced it with a Borg SX-E 63/68/12 and it’s is better all around in spool up, power, and towing. Maybe they work better on the 6.7 given it’s larger displacement and VGT
You won't be disappointed with that turbo, I've installed a few of them instead of going the stock route, right about the same price and much better performing. also solved the issue with the actuator.
Crossroad Garage LLC I'm wondering if the Turbo he's putting in is a 63mm then what is a stock Turbo in a 2007-1/2 6.7 Cummins. Just wondering if maybe I swapped If out for a newer one or would one off a Chevy or Ford diesel
Greg, I couldn't tell but is the factor elbow that connects to the turbo indexed in some way? It would seem it would have to be but I wasn't sure. Never had one off but could see this as a future upgrade for me. If it's not, no big deal, just have to put some paint on it to properly locate it.
just curious what your thoughts are between the fleece cheetah turbo vs the ats auroa 3000 or 4000 ? i have a 2017 ram 3500 with the g56. i know i have to update my clutch, which i will be going with a south bend setup. just wondering how or which turbo will work best with the g56. motor is stock, only thing i have updated is installed the banks monster ram, still have all emissions. and banks boost tubes. thanks
Great videos man, keep it up. Been subscribed and watching since well before the Dually and have enjoyed everything. Big thumbs up from Washington state.
Love the videos you make watch my lot great information everybody talks about the power that makes you talk about the power it makes but really wondering does the exhaustic still perform as well as the factory exhaust brake?
Greg’s greatest hits ft “Cummins Makin Me Anxious” and wrench Works da Hoodie. Call now! Operators are standing by. BUT WAIT THERES MORE!! Order Gregs greatest hits now and we’ll throw in for FREE “First Gen suspense!”
What you think about the bd screamer turbo? I’m looking to get a new turbo for my 2016 ram 2500 so idk which one to get if the screamer or the cheetah.
Hey Greg been watching your channel for a while and like your OCD on certain things but was wondering what you use to take care of the paint of all your rigs.. Do you prefer a certain product for keeping up the show finishes or just use average compounds, wash, waxes from your local auto store..?
Are there injectors in the near future? And on a side note, in your opinion, is it bad to warm your truck up in the morning with the exhaust brake on? I’ve been told by a couple people not to do it
Hey Greg I watch your Vids a lot. I've heard you complain about that coolant riser in a couple videos now. I installed the Pusher EGR Delete and that kit has a part that allows you to cut that coolant riser out of your way. Thought you could give me your 2 cents on the kit i installed it on My 2013.
Hey Greg, are you interested in selling the OEM turbo? I have a what's going to be a crazy Magnum 5.9 V8 408 stroker I'm going to be building over the winter, and a high pressure/quick spool VGT is one of my biggest desires to do. If I could figure out a standalone VGT controller, being a 408 with a nasty cam and high flow heads/intake/exhaust it should spool pretty fast and hard. Besides, it would be the coolest thing ever to say "yeah man, it's Greg A's stock Holset off of his 4th gen Cummins!" because all of my friends know I love your channel and the content you create and I got the majority of them hooked on you as well haha. Anyway, hope you're having a good day and the fam is doing well! Take care and keep up the good work Greg!
Can someone explain a 2nd gen swap to me? I know a lot about 2nd gens, I drive one, but I don't know about the diesels. Obviously he isn't talking about putting a 5.9l Cummins in it so what does "2nd gen swap" mean?
You really shouldn't be using stainless steel hardware. Its so far away on the galvanic series and will corrode the steel like crazy. Its also about half the strength of a steel fastener.
I have a feeling arp has a bit of mettalurgical experience to find a stainless alloy that has required strength... yes different metals dont like each other occasionally but it may be a stainless manifold or it could be an alloy of stainless that will live happily with iron. Arp has a long history of experience where I have no doubts they could stir up a good alloy
STAY AWAY FROM STAINLESS BOLTS AND STUDS! Very prone to breaking but if you are going to use them torque them once and don't tighten them again or reuse them because they will snap
@@jasontruman1215 I get that. But, dude just dropped probably 2k on this turbo and manifold and another 8k on his transmission. Not to mention he had this planned probably a month ago. Down pipe and intercooler pipe would run what, 1k max? Cost is a weak argument considering the advantages of a swap.
He is doing this to promote different products on his truck is my guess. I apologize if this is not the case, but seams like a lot of parts on a lot of different machines all at once. This would be very difficult to afford all this with no help from the companies he's using. I appreciate every vid that has been put up. Thanks!!!
Shout out from Southern California, this is definitely the best Cummins channel on the tube!!! As a new Cummins owner your videos have helped me learn my beast
I was hoping you were doing a 2nd gen swap with the fleece exhaust brake ( testing for them ) and make a way to make the inlet the banks intake
No shit gets this shit for free from fleece and this what he put on!!! no one cares about stock shit on a 6.7 2nd gen swap like everyone does, and the new exhaust brake!!
Some of the best videos is the dually getting upgraded!
Greg A. The type of guy who immediately pulls the tie strings out of his new hoodies.
Dually Is Amazing
Can't wait for the WrenchWorkz drop.
The dually needs compounds to be the ultimate tow rig. Everyone always raves about compounds for towing
JD Kirane compounds??? Where the fuck would he put them.. the first turbo is already mounted to the transmission!! Hahah These new trucks are rediculous!

Awesome awesome video Greg A, what a super sweet setup it’s literally a work of art, can’t wait to see some driving footage of it.

Absolute dream truck. One day.
Heck yea! Something different that not everyone does!
Greg, Nice job on the turbo and exhaust manifold. Can't go wrong with a Steed Speed!

Lucky! I ordered those ARP manifold studs and they are back ordered till the end of the month.
I'm still waiting for fleece to bring out that exhaust brake elbow that works with 2-3rd gen swaps and the factory exhaust brake button
You and everyone else lol last i heard was the release was suppose to be around black friday of this year? Who knows i guess
me too
What did you do with your exhaust pressure sensor. I see you have it blocked off. Going to do the same setup

What about the exhaust manifold sensor mine keeps braking can I just delete it?
Thinking about putting a steed speed and cheeta on my 2006. How long did it take to get the manifold?
Greg are you running custom HPP tuning for the cheetah? Or just the stock SOTF pack they sell?
When you deleted all the egr stuff, what did you do for your ccv line to the turbo?
Hey Greg, what EGR delete kit did you use? I have been having an issue with my kit leaking coolant from that top line.
do you need to retune for the new turbo due to more air flow, different vgt functionality for spooling or for exhaust brake function?
Hey Greg what make is your hood light. And where did you get that?
new gear looks great!!!
Sorry Cletus Greg has priority🤷🏻♂️

Nice setup
I’m pretty sure everyone knew you would go with a steed speed and fleece lol
U
You the Man Greg A
What a truck
what years can u put on turbo 3 gen with break
Where did the back pressure sensor go?
Wherli fab has a beautiful water standpipe delete. I'm trying to get them to sell it as a separate kit.
Greg what would a good injector size be to run on a 63mm for a 05 5.9 6speed
40% if your looking to support 700 hp
Noboost for president!!! When is the truck going on the dyno??
How much was everything with your sponser discount?
Why this turbo and not the turbonator?
G is the man
Can’t wait to see Fleece 2nd gen swap with exhaust brake
Get the fleece coolant riser delete plug!!! Clean that engine bay up ASAP
Unfortunately it will not work with a factory turbo configuration.
Oops your right! Still cooled with coolant. Haha. You might have a bad day! Have my head stuck in the second gen swap stuff
I would never put a stock charger back on. I am not sure that I would put one of them on. They still have a chance that module will die on it.
Dam Greg what do u do making so much money spending it all on ur trucks
so if the cheetah is 63mm what size is the stock like 60mm?
Does the 4th gen have any trans work?
Hey Greg, Just wondering what you do for a living? Never seen someone spend money like water as I see you do. I guess I need to change careers.

Now you’re telling me that there is a cheaper “factory “ option available? I just replaced mine oem after 130k miles... wish I knew of this option!

No exhaust back pressure sensor on the manifold any more thought that was needed for the exhaust brake to work correctly
