Thanks for the video iv just set mine up and was getting ready to try a first print but wanted to watch a couple more videos to see the full process. Yours was really good to watch and is the same as what I brought. Thank you again
Hi Captain, Somehow I missed this video when it first came out. This looks like a great printer. The first print went very well. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Nice job on showing the setup of both the printer and the wash/cure device. Your comment on not wishing to waste the Alcohol…… spoken like a true Scotsman! Happy printing.
Hi Captain, Great purchase, There is one 3D printer that I can use (and borrow) at work, for now (I worked from home with it during covid lock-down , it was nice). I like the interface of the Lychee slicer instead of Chitubox . You might want to use water based resin instead, the alcohol gets contaminated pretty quickly (it stinks mixed with the resin) and it's expensive (plus water-based is probably less toxic). The unpleasant thing to me is, no matter how careful you are it loves to spread (gloves and old clothes are a must). One last thing, remember that you have a giant free U.V. light outside. Good continuation👋🏻
I have Anycubic Photon M3 4K 7.6 inch , I've modeled my own Sentry from Gears Of War 5 and assembled 49 pieces with this machine, it's truly a beast with high-quality details ,
@@plungingfirescalemodeling2441 yea if you want to go for small details go for the ABS-like resin , I made a small hinge marker with the normal resin and it was a pain in the A sS , just make sure it's easy to assemble them on the ship otherwise you'll suffer even more with sanding and digging holes on ABS resin
Try pouring hot water or use a heat gun on the top of the build plate, this softens the adhesion enough that the model is easier to release. I too broke the base of the test print on my first attempt. 😊
@@plungingfirescalemodeling2441 I have 7 new ones coming. Painfully I’ve just discovered some filament 3D prints of the frames to use with FEP sheets which works out a lot cheaper than the proprietary ones. But I also understand that setting the sheet up correctly is an art. Only got to wait a week for the replacements so until then I’m watching and learning 🤣
@@ThoughtandMemory Do you have a Mono 2 like mine? I just ordered a 2 pkt of FEP direct from Anycubic (for spares and a screen protector) and I believe they come pre-mounted in frames. Anycubic have a UA-cam video of changing FEP and use bottle cap to get the tension correct! So might be a starting point if you need to change just the FEP.
@@plungingfirescalemodeling2441 yes it’s the mono 2. That’s what I have ordered. But whilst perusing Thingiverse I can across the printable frames for use with the loose FEP sheets. Which would save a bit of money in the long run. But I have to walk before I run 🤗
Hey man I’m not trying to scare you or anything. But have you had those lines in your nails looked at? That can SOMETIMES be a symptom of skin cancer. It can also not be, but from a human to a human, it’s worth a doctors appointment.

Thank you watching and commenting, glad you found it helpful.

I'm impressed with it's performance considering how relatively cheap it is.

Thanks. 😄True

Nice. I'm working on some small ship details with mine at the moment, but think I need to get ABS-Like resin as the Standard is very brittle.

Thanks for tip!
That was very helpful. I think i need one.
Thank you. Go for it!
Just got mine. Test print stuck to the FEP which I then cracked trying to get it off. Waiting on new FEP arriving 😢
Sorry to hear that, what a disappointment for you. Hopefully you get the issue sorted.

@@ThoughtandMemory Ah okay, sounds like a plan.
Just checked on Amazon UK and i can't believe how inexpensive these things are becoming.
New models are coming out all the time, giving great deals on earlier models.
Great video. Thanks!.
Thank you.

Look up Subungual Melanoma. Again, not trying to scare you. Just trying to give you a heads up you know?
Thanks, all good. yeah it comes and goes although hanging around longer this time.
Guess who’s going to busy printing 🤣
Thanks, just ran a series of exposure calibration tests so far and a trial gun barrel. Trying to think of stuff to print lol
