You gotta remember there's only like 5 crew members that bag orders, but there are 30 customers waiting for their order too. Each person at each station receives instructions to make orders that, most of the time, have special requests on them that have to be fulfilled. Let's go through the process. 1st, comes the order taker who takes maybe 1 minute to take an order, then the kitchen gets the order and that takes around 60 seconds to make a full order start to finish with 2 people on the table making the burgers, then the baggers take their order, which takes usually 60 seconds to take, then come the drinks, and they need to wait for the drink to pour out of the dispenser, then add ice. Which takes maybe 30 seconds. And the longest part is the queue time. First come first serve, so added up, each order takes 3.5 minutes roughly to just MAKE (in a perfect world of course) but then, everybody else has their own orders that take 3.5 minutes to make, so 30 people would take around an hour and a half to serve everybody. This would be the time you'd wait if you were at the back of the queue. Anyway.

I ordered 2 Mcdoubles last week with no ketchup no mustard and lettuce and Big Mac sauce. 80 cents extra for the sause. 58 cents for the lettuce. No discount for no ketchup. No discount for no mustard. Taste great but the extra cost hurt my appetite for more gouging. Seriously doubt there was a nickel difference in the cost of the change. McNever again!
Used to be Cheap road trip food if you BYO drink. Not so much anymore. 2 lbs of great value smoked ham, mustard and fresh bread works for me on a 3 day trip. A cooler full of blue ice is your friend.
