Ha ha... I love ending the video on you counting change! That's a much wiser decision than going further into debt as I'm doing... I think for me, it's the 10 bit, better stability, and 33MP that pushed me over the edge. And that I was finally able to sell my A7C for a good price that allowed me to preorder it.
Yup agreed with pretty much everything. Compared to my A7C - 10 bit video, better Ibis, AI chip, added front dial, better brighter EVF, 33MP instead of 24, faster auto-focus and finally S-Cinetone to match my A7siii on 2 camera shoots!! Nuff said so now looking to sell my original A7C! Thanks for the review 😎
Thx for your comment Pierre - yeah I rented the a7c ii for a week - its a nice upgrade and took a couple of days to adjust - what lens do you keep on your a7c the most? just curious
Mostly the Sony 20mm 1.8 as I use this as my wide locked-off shot on a tripod during a 2 camera video shoot. I use the Sony 24-104 mm on my a7Siii main camera which I operate. The only thing that bugs me is I can shoot in 10 bit S-Cinetone which I love on the big camera but on the A7C am relegated to 8 bit video and NO S-Cinetone. Harder to match in Premiere Pro so then I have to dumb down to 8 bit and another Picture Profile. I like your idea of renting though but I have never done that as you’re taking a chance it’s not available the day you need it! Hey Oliver does the A7Cii have a deeper grip than the original and is the EVF better or brighter as well?
Sorry I just saw your other video where you answer my questions! BTW I am also a (retired recently) TV Producer here in Canada and I also have 4 children 😁
@@Pfagnan the grip is better - it has a slightly "rougher" surface, you can feel it in your hand better. The EVF is brighter, and clearer - as an older shooter (54) I just like using the EVF instead of the flip screen. Thx for the question!
I think the A7CII is under whelming for the price. Personally I'd wait for the A7V as it will have all the latest upgrades and duel card slots. It will probably cost $2498.
I am definitely waiting for the a7c iii, i only shoot photos so i don't need stabilization and the 10 bit and the cinetone. Plus i just got the 70-200 gm, so my pockets are dry as hell 😂😂
For 3000 usd with kit lens which is prerty bad for low light though? - in my case the only situation I think worth of using A7C II instead of my phone. Also a good f1-2 lens cost fortune and come with big which rendered the compact size useless.
so happy youtube recommended me this video 😂 love your personality!! And i feel the same way about wanting this camera
So glad you got the recommendation! A7Cii is a nice step up from the a7c! Just have to start saving. What lens do you keep on your Sony camera?
I’m expecting to see a crazy 1,000 sub special. 🔥
Yes - one day 1,000 subs would be great!

So hard to not pre-order and Sony has put out a lot of solid cameras - enjoy the a7cii!!
