How does options work on TradingView?
i started with the paper wallet. But nowhere stands how u open a trade, i have no idea what to click, i just wanna try it out, but in every tutorial they just show how the website work. i simply just wanna know how to open long or short :D

I can relate. Not realizing what I was doing when I first started a demo account it was with Tradingview. I can trade right from the app on my phone and I love it. Did that for 6 months before I started looking into brokers. Little did I know how spoiled I was! Until I was ready to go live! Then I learned most brokers aren't linked to TV. So I spent a few more months trying more demo accounts with different brokers and both MT4 and MT5. So frustrating.
Still not sure what I'm going to do yet. Back to TV demo. I just like the ability to trade directly on Tradingview way better. So it's looking like Oanda for me since I trade mostly Forex. Really looking forward to going live and learning from the real market.

Is there an option to remove order tags from popping up on the screen? Every time i place or modify an order, the order tags pop up covering up a good portion of the screen, especially if you're trying to place a few orders quickly AND/OR trying to draw on your screen as well.
If you're on an iPhone/Smartphone, the order tags take up the entire screen and sit there blocking everything for 10 seconds.
The order tags are completely unnecessary and it would be great to FINALLY have an option to disable them.
Dude I tried out paper trading on Trading View just last night and I already know the answer to this. Gotta look around a little bit first. Just right click, settings, trading category, and uncheck Executions and/to Execution Labels.
Finally, I found someone who can explain this point on. Step by step. My one question is, You only have to right click to bring up the panel to place a trade, right? You don't have to click on the Long Position icon and highlight the point and drag down to the stop point?

Nick , can we move the SL up and down directly on the screen by sliding the the yellow line ( SL) without manually punching in the figures in a box while trading ? This feature is available on paper tradimg with TV . Wanted yo make sure if this is actually integrated with OANDA interface .
You can drag the stop loss directly on the chart board yes, same with take profit, just remember clicking modify in the box that pops up when you've done it, i forgot it the first couple of times lol rip
Pls Nick, make a vid about how to use the TV create order. Like the settings to use 1% risk and the other factors like LoT size and other percent. Its quite confusing for me, because if I use 1%, there are still other % set when you put the long/short. Pls :))

Hi, Can you grab the Stop Loss line on the chart and move it manually? Does it auto-create a new order?
yes you can. it depends, if you allow instant ordering then it will automatically edit your order once you let go during dragging. but be careful, as instant ordering will turn it on for buy/sales button at the top right of the chart too.

So basically I’m paper trading on trading view…I create an interactive brokers account…when I fund my account I then link my IB account to trading view. Hey man, when I place orders, I like to move my stop loss up above where I bought in. So I always come out positive no matter what. With that being said, if I let my order go till the next day will my stop loss still be active during the post and pre market?

I want to set default setting for my stop loss to always be 1%
Example, use the long/short tool to set your entry, sl and tp.
Right click and put limit order, now everything you need is in there automatically EXCEPT risk. If i do FX the risk is crazy by default, like 100-1000 Etc.
Please, how do i change this default? I cant find anything anywhere about this

@@Therealfinn12h no i didnt, but im only using mt5 now with a trade panel from the market store place thing and its amazing. Drag and drop for stop loss and you can pre define risk in dollar or % in the settings and it will stay the same all the time, can even put pre defined risk reward. And alot more

So I’m with Oanda and I placed a trade for long, it went up 50 pips but when closing out my trade my profit did not change.
