My problem with the campaign on legendary in general (and to be fair most Halo games and other FPS's on the highest difficulty)is that the checkpoints are not generous enough, you end up doing a 5-10 minute segment several times in a row, get really frustrated, try rushing it and get more frustrated, it's a way of making the game seem difficult when it is actually on frustration, frustrating people by forcing them to play the easier parts they have already beaten over and over again.

Kinda the point lol. You've just gotta fight it straightforward, rushing almost never works, the best possible solution is to take it one enemy at a time. Little guys first. If there are promethians, take down the watchers first, ALWAYS. If you lock your team onto a target, they will advance and fight it in close range. So instead, point where you want them to go and they'll defend the position.

Warden eternal is the worst thing about halo 5.
He's not THAT hard, I'll admit there are too many fights but it makes sense w/ the story, plus he's satisfying as hell to kill imo.

Inb4 they put an invisible wall there. This is probably the hardest section of any Halo campaign. Not even because of the wardens, but because of those stupid ass turrets that spawn when only one is left.

I so glad this trick exists. Fuck this boss fight. Hopefully 343 doesn't patch this out in the future.
Hope they do patch it though, it's supposed to be hard, and I finished it on heroic, not legendary, but still difficult.
+Metalsnake123456789 Halo 5 is imo the most difficult campaign to date, even with this skip. Patching something that doesn't negatively affect anyone is stupid. If they start patching skips then they kill speedrunning, something I and many others enjoy very much. So patching this will only hurt people.

+Metalsnake123456789 This isn't hard. It's not difficulty when you die from one shot every time against three boss enemies while your squad AI stands around with their thumbs in their dickholes. The word to describe this is "cheap bullshit".
For reference, this is still possible in 2021 and you can pull it off with either pillar as there are man cannons on both sides. After screwing up on the version shown in this video a few times, I decided to try the other pillar and got it first attempt.

I don't think there's even any point in them patching this. But I can confirm it works as of September 23rd, 2016.

I am now willing to attempt this game on legendary, that one fight took so long on heroic, I was considering not bothering with the legendary playthrough just because of this scene.
I'm crying. I've been on this for 2 hours and literally was screaming at the turrets that spawn on the last warden! Then seeing the beautiful Eli and how he skipped it saved my life! Did it fourth time after ultra aiming lasers killed me mid-flight 😂

OMG!!! Love you man!!! I was about to throw my Xone out the window! Kept trying to kill the last guy for the past 2 hours!!!
I got through the three wardens last night on legendary... I think I went insane? After you manage to kill two of them, four focus turrets spawn with Halo 5's new BULLSHIT AIMBOT THAT KILLS YOU IN 0.7355 SECONDS FLAT (YEAH I TIMED IT) AS WELL AS THE WARDENS' LASER BEAM OF BULLSHIT THAT NEVER. FUCKING. MISSES. But hey, I got through it, took me three hours. This one part is probably harder than Gravemind like we didn't think that was possible. I beat it legendary solo, definitely the hardest Halo to date.
+noizerenegade I think I went crazy too, I did this on legendary too and after there was only one of them I though it would have been a lot easier but it was without counting these GODDAMN turrets that almost instantenaly kill you. I had to restart this mission all over again because when I beat the second Warden I was in the middle of the arena and all my partner were dead, because of the checkpoint the turrets would spawn kill me everytime, talk about bad luck I was burning with rage ! Eventually on my second attempt, I've managed to kill the three of these fuckers in the back of the arena it felt so satisfaying :p

I actually pulled this off on my first try, but the Warden actually hit me and I launched all the way up in the air, enabling me to thruster on to the platform lol I was blessed

I allready knew about this trick but the instead of the first geoundpound on the pillar you aim down sight so you will hover above it and land on it.
Anyway, these wardens are a hard part but can be relativly easy. Lure one to one of the sides after you gotten an inceneration canon there. Shoot it when it is close just as often till it does this scream, then turn around him (with evade) and shoot it in the back as often as you can with a forruner shotgun (cant remember the name). This will most of times kill it.
I have not gotten halo 5 yet but when I do I'm definitely using this.

Eli, just thruster at the apex of the launch from the man cannon, turn to ground pound and you land on top of the ramp, no risk with that clambering next to the wardens

I beat this fight legit on legendary, and I don't think I'm sane anymore.
Calvin Curry beat it legit too. Worst Halo Campaign ever. The campaign was challenging and that’s what was fun about it. Now it’s a complete mockery and a joke simply because you can cheese and slip through the hardest part in the game, which is the end. It’s a pretty big let down when I found this out.
It took me almost an hour to do this fight on legendary yesterday. I saw this and got quite annoyed but thanks showing
Still works 11/3....I had a lot of trouble doing it through the left side so I disconnected from Xbox live and went through the right and was successful! Good luck.

For everyone saying "hope they don't patch it": Halo speedrun / skip strats are never patched. Bungie and 343 always love seeing people beat their game in unexpected ways and durations.

Yeah it works. But do it on the right side and you will get it easier for some reason. I tried for at least 20 minutes to get it on the left side and couldn't. I switched to the right and got it first try.

If only I had known before succeeding a few minutes ago, I wouldn't have wasted my time asking myself how am I supposed to beat them... ^^ I equipped 2 of my companions with incineration cannon, me carrying one as well along with a scattershot. Doing this way made this fight much more easier than I thought it was.
