I remember it was only a year ago that I got into TD, I listened to some of their earlier work, such as Alpha Centauri, Atem, Rubycon to name a few, then I listened to Melrose. I had no idea that this album would end with such a beautiful song. This showed me that TD has a soft side in their music. Believe me, I loved them even more.
what a brilliant track this is - i love listening to this song non stop in a fairly dark room - it makes you feel like you are falling into a spiral. very cool!
@N89K I think you are mistaken. The beginning of this song is cross-faded with Mark Isham's Raffles in Rio, which is the correct order for the Windham Hill Chill CD. On Melrose, the song before Cool at Heart is Desert Train and it does not cross fade with Cool at Heart. In fact Desert Train fades out over the last 10 seconds of the song.
[reading comments from all] COOL AT HEART would be a fitting tune to play at the begining of a memorial service as folks enter. My choice for my Mama's service, as an exit, was Froese's STUNTMAN !!!
You got this from the Windham Hill Chill CD, didn't you? I recognize the song that's fading out in the very beginning. I wish they had it on Itunes, because the version I have is all soft and faded.
Yet another life changing piece of TD's beautiful music...thanks for sharing
How can anything so sad be so uplifting ? Not sure....but this is it !
R.I.P Edgar, you were an inspiration to multiple generations
Follow your channel. nice to see you have good taste in music as well!
Very beautiful track! Edgar Froese is very gifted, and a great musician/composer. Thanks a lot for posting such videos

One of their best after they peaked!
This is probably my favourite track of TD, Melrose was their best Album too!
Track got me from first play.
This is the song I want at my funeral, when my time has come.
Oh please hon...we are not here to dwell on that
All of our times will come one day, and why not thinking of it and the music that would fit to that? Death belongs to life.
I can make your times come sooner.
I was just thinking the same thing...I always think of my Mother when I hear this...pure beauty inside and out
pure tears
Es esplendidamente bella esta melodía...! :D
Lo se, hasta es perfecta para navidad
Tangerine 🍊 Dream rocks
Anyone that is not affected by this music would have to be a zombie. It evokes a memory of something long lost which has faded beyond recall.
Why do I have to wander in here again..........

I would love to find the sheet music for this. My wife is learning the keyboard and she would play it for me if I could find that.
To Kim Redmond ,We think alike.
