Great video! Beautiful location. The transit possibility would make a great addition and bring more young adults into the community. Developers should also build affordable rentals as many do not want the responsibility of home ownership any longer.

Lakewood Ranch is for rich people. I was one of the few low income students bussed into Lakewood Ranch High School in 2002.

With 7% interest rates, 2% per year in property taxes, HOA fees, CDD fees, PMI, and high homeowners insurance costs, (since these homes are 20 miles from the coast), can a couple with 2 kids and a household income of $100,000 a year qualify for a mortgage to buy a single family home in Lakewood Ranch? I doubt it. I am happy where I am at. I am just asking for other people that might want to live there

They are actually adding “affordable housing” units within the community.
