@tomstorm7926 I disagree, I don't think it matters if he called someone out or not. The point is there seems to be levels to credibility when you're giving your opinion on the NFL. Tom Brady - the GOAT - can speak his mind and not receive criticism, but Cam - a former NFL MVP - can't. Yet we allow all these "analysts" who never played a snap in their life indiscriminately talk about NFL players. There just needs to be consistency.

When Brady made his comment he was called out by Alex smith and even Shannon sharpe agreed brady benefited from a lot of the rules and it was made because of him. So he did get called out. But again cam called out for naming guys. Not sure how you can force two things so differently to be true when they are not. The only similarities here is two former athletes made a negative comment. But if you choose to factor in context (which you guys are purposely trying not to in order to keep your narrative) these two comments are very different.

He's correct when the 49ers lost three games in a row people started casting doubt about Brock Purdy's ability. Last season when Prescott missed games due to injury and the backup QB started winning games they were commenting about how upbeat and energetic the offense looked. Even saying that Prescott's job may be in jeopardy if they continue winning and are able to beat the Eagle's without him.
People will forever be prisoners of the moment.

Thank you Cam for more clearly defining game manager vs game changer. I will say in Purdy's defense, without him Eagles won by 24, with Purdy they won by 23. The kid's not yet 24, and almost threw TD of the year last season vs Seattle but Aiyuk dropped it. Purdy can't truck a DE like you, but is not a statue like most pocket passers and has room to get better.
Because you need a good game manger who will keep things steady. They lost back to back games without Debo
We saw what Purdy was when Deebo, McCaffery, and Trent Williams were out. He lost three in a row and could not carry the team. He is the prime example of a game manager.
But like Cam said, Purdy's doing what he's asked that gives 49ers best chance to win and is young. Kid has a nice highlight reel of scramble throws, the more he gains coaches trust, the more he can cut loose.
