Yes, the QB in top 5 all time was a game manager 🤡 if you listened she said even when they are losing they are the reason the team was even in the game. I'm glad you chose to ignore that part.
Great QBs can be game managers in certain games. There’s no question Peyton Manning was a game manager in his last superbowl win, but by no means was he a game manager QB in his career.

Also, we won two playoff games with him . I was at the Seahawks wildcard game . Purdy was awesome ,after being down 17-16 to start second half . Watch that game people!!!
According to Joy, MVPURDY needs to learn how to kick game winning field goal, know not to call an all out blitz seconds before half, be a defensive coordinator not letting a team complete 14 consecutive 1st downs and not throw ints whilst being concussed the play prior.
Niner fans salty 😂😂
Exactly. Crazy thing is if this happen to any other team qb, they would feel the same. Situational ignorance from football fans is what keeps these people in TV
The only logical conclusion to how she evaluated purdy is by not watching purdy play and listening to one hit wonders from yesteryears has no situational evaluation skills and tows the line that gets the most attention to stay relevant in her position
There's no actual analysis of purdy at all especially in the games in the skid witch is the only talking point they have left against MVPURDY. Which they sweep under the rug that he had a concussion the defense was playing very poorly and that the offensive line is ranked 22nd in pas protection with Trent Williams and probably dead last without him and purdy still played well enough to lead a game winning field goal drive put up 300 yards in another game and just because he threw a couple picks while playing from behind with a concussion mind you. That negates his MVP or Elite status.😂 By those measures there are no elite or MVP type QBs in the NFL and never had been seriously looking at every great QBs throughout history and try to find ONE that hasn't had games or multiple games like those 3 on the skid
She acts like or thinks she is ALL-KNOWING....she is good, but sometimes she misses certain things.

Joy just said Tua isn’t a game manager while labeling Purdy one. Mahomes on the Panthers not winning squat. Hurts on the Patriots this year would be terrible. Lamar on the Bears won’t be in the pro bowl. These talking heads moving goal posts is annoying.
For real. Purdy has all these weapons so he's just a game manager. Tua got literally the best WR in the league and now he's a stud. The hate toward Purdy is so real. Early in the season when Brock still had yet to lose a game, the narrative was "the sample size is still too small, we need to see more." The 49ers go on a 3 game losing streak and then suddenly they have seen enough to pass judgement.
Bruh, put Pat on the 49ers and Brock on the Chiefs 👁️👁️ C'mon...

Cam was a game changer from a running perspective. He definitely isn't a passer.
I agree that based on the pieces around a qb, there are certain qbs that are not required to do anything but not make mistakes. Deebo, Ceedee, and Tyreek make a difference on an offense. The 49ers, Cowboys, and Dolphins not only have all star teams but also have all star coaches. They also have all stars on defense that change the game. The qbs manage the game. Their only job is not to be the reason the team loses. This is why Jimmy G lost his job.
Mccarthy isnt an all star coach. Are you on drugs

He’s insulting QBs that play the position better than he ever did. Being a physical freak doesn’t make you skilled. All that and he was still better than the dude he mentions. Without any weapons cmc came at the end.
@@neivemcintosh5432 Wrong. Both Dak and Purdy are far better passers than Cam could ever dream of being. All Cam could do was run and throw the ball far. He had beyond terrible accuracy.
I love how he talks about these dudes as game managers who just try not to lose the game, don't throw a bunch of picks. They both have fewer picks on the year than Cam ever did, with huge TD:Int ratios, throwing for more yards. Dude's just a hater who thinks you need to be a huge athlete to be a good QB because that's all he ever had going for him.
Doesnt matter if you thought he could throw, your just proving the elite athlete he was to win with that talent on the Panthers. His position was the quarterback position and he was a game changer like it or not. Most of the guys called game changers have freak athletic ability of some sort. Whether its a cannon arm,Mahommes scrambles and arm angles, lamar and josh obviously can run and allen is huge. Your only good argument is about what happens when these guys lose that physical talent. You have to admit there is something special about being a game manager. Because if it wasnt, when the game changers fall off physically. Their floor should be them being a game manager. But alot of them like Cam fall through the floor and cant be a game manager. So ijs people cant act like all the elite players can game manage if they wanted to. We will find out once they no longer have that extra thing that makes them elite

This take about Purdy losing without Deebo and other guys is disingenuous to say the least. They forget about about Purdy going 3-0 last year two games in his rookie yr without Deebo. Not only that but Cam only threw above 60 percent passing twice in his career. It’s not really true that with Cams inaccuracy he would ball with all those weapons.
Joy determines who's a game manager by their skin color. Notice that?
Great post. All they had going was Cam was a physical specimen freak (1 of 1) and he had no weapons (only Ginn). That's a load of BS. Cam can't read no defense and can only run around. And they forgot this is a team game. Brady is a "game changer" bc he knew where the guys are and made great reads and throws. Kinda like what Brock is doing
CAM carried his team with passing and running. The point here is do these QBs carry their teams beyond the basic play as QB. CAM never had a team like the 49ers. He carried the panthers to the super bowl. CAM was a game changer when he was healthy.
@@rodj8597 he was a baller but not a hall of famer so not a game changer. He had about 4 to 5 yr run. He was as a monster at his best though. Never was a great passer though

Quarterbacks can’t just be great without a good cast anymore. If a team didn’t need good weapons anymore then Mahomes would be 1st in mvp odds. Defenses are just too talented now that QBs need weapons and a decent scheme to be productive, no matter how talented they are. I won’t say any of those four wouldn’t work outside of their team, but they can’t tryout for every team to see how they’d do.
Besides, being a great QB isn’t just a physical thing or even some of the good ones wouldn’t need to sit behind people to be productive. If all it took for a QB to be good was be physically gifted, then Josh Allen would be great much earlier than his 3rd year.
the media decides who they wanna call a good qb even when the facts are there

The other 25 teams have nothing to lose for trying.
You have Shanahan, it cannot be overstated. Not just for the coaching and schemes and play calling but also for the squad building. Purdy fits perfectly, it is a match made in heaven but also Tua could, MAc Jones could and the ultimate Kirk Cousins would crush that system. This is why Purdy does not get as much love as he should just like Kirk didn't when putting up 4000 yards year in year out. You'd get to a stage where the scheme break down, injuries happen, crunch moments and that is when a Mahomes or Brady rise from the ashes. Purdy has not had that moment yet but I believe he will have it in the play-offs this season and he can be spoke differently about.
It has to go wrong or be going wrong for your team and YOU be the reason to be thought of differently. Don't get the same respect in a near perfect team with near perfect scheme and the best roster and weapons in the league.
No, he’s the best QB the Niners have had since Kapernick.
Easily true, and he might be better than Jeff in time.
Athletic enough? Accurate enough? Decent arm? Purdy is number one in a lot of things and his play shows that he is athletic and can outrun defensive ends, accurate at, and can sling it 40+ yards accurately with no issue. You a niners fan and you talking about the niners qb like he barely average lmao
@@BM-_ because he is honest. Purdy is a really good quarterback but we do not know how good he is because the squad, coaching and scheme is so good. I would just enjoy this moment whilst everything is working but just remember the winning percentage with Garoppolo was also insane when he was healthy.
PASS THE PLATE PASTOR ACHO!! 😂😂
Who cares what Cam Newton thinks? He's not relevant. This is the guy that after a year with the Patriots, had a rookie QB (Mac Jones), instructing him on how a play was suppose to unfold.
Cam the turn over King
Still carried a higher winning percentage! 😂😂😂
@jerryvasquez8226 yeah you're right but he's also game manager just like all those people he called out yes he went to a sb and mvp but didn't win 🤔 🤷
@jermanerandle2731 watch his Bama vs Bama game! You talking about a Heisman, Champion! Came in the NFL and earned it! Brock Purdy was handed a job. " by any means necessary " Purdy hasn't won anything! Look at there resumes! 😍 the 😫 is Purdy fans don't know!🤑🤑🤑
@jermanerandle2731 you saying the same thing other people just shows that you're a follower! Don't fall off a cliff! 🤣🤣🤣
@jerryvasquez8226 and your not your just another hater
They really gonna act like Cam didn't have steve Smith a top 10 defense Julius peppers n Greg Olson... smh ok
Exactly wtf
Steve smith literally was on the back end of his career when cam got their 😂
Lmao James was trying to get Joy canceled by impliing she was going after Joe Montana😂😂😂😂
Exactly they just don't like 49ers period
Apparently Joy didn't bother looking up Troys playoff stats before spouting off .. but not surprising...
So Cam didn't have STEVE SMITH SR a hall of fame WR
How do you go to Joy for her take, after talking about someone's credentials smh. She can barely think for herself, and she talks in circles smh
Tom Brady "game managed" his way to become the Greatest QB to ever play the game...Cam Newton's gift was he could run as fast as the quickest man on defense and was as big as most of the linebackers.
So came greatest strength is that he was elite…thanks for acknowledging
McCaffrey, Stewart, Benjamin and Olson didn't play? Not sure why Cam takes out his shortcomings on others. His WRs weren't great because of QB play. Benjamin had a 1000 yard season and Olson was a beast. Notice how they moved on quick when they said imagine if he had Deebo, McCa..., Aiuyuk.
He was mainly hurt once McCaffrey got there. Stewart never had a 1,000 yrds rushing when Cam was there but Olsen did have 3 consecutive 1,000 yrd seasons
Exactly! And had a HOF defense! Like wtf
Casual take. During McCaffrey’s 2nd season when he just broke the 1k rushing yards line, Cam got hit in his throwing shoulder and was knocked out for the rest of the season (btw he was also having one of his best passing seasons to date completing 68% of his passes). So no he didn’t play with prime CMC. Kelvin Benjamin had 1k yards his rookie season and ate his way out of the NFL afterward. The only legit target Cam had was Olsen for about 3 seasons. So if Cam can go 15-1 with basically just throwing it to Olsen (Benjamin was out for the season in 2015) and a defense, Cam would have been going bananas with the 9ers offense. Or the Cowboys offense. Or the Dolphins with all that speed? Cmon man. You can not like a player but don’t discredit how great he was. Kelvin Benjamin lmfao this guy.
Exactly , qbs gets all glory but it’s like where’s the teams respect , luke, Thompson , Olsen , Norman
@@Eric-bq6gt best LB tandem in the league for almost half a decade as well.
Dak is a game manager and just look at his games until today. McCarthy still has him throwing the short balls, since Dak is not accurate but his receivers can catch everything. When Dak throws the long ball, he will generally throws an interception. Plusm, he struggles in the red zone and he's been in the league for over 9 years. Those other guys can throw an accurate ball, which is a major difference.
This comment cam made is taken waaaaay out of context. Good lord if you're a game manager it pretty much means you're good at being a pocket QB. Put the ball where it needs to be, dont throw interceptions, be perceptive and thats it. They're not ask to scramble 24/7 and throw to less elite players. Nothing against game managers. Before tom brady got 7 rings he was known as the best game manager of all time.
Game Manager is not a bad thing Purdy knows when and were to go with the ball, decision making and accuracy are the # 1-2 traits, that's why Cam had to rely on his physical gifts and run the ball was he a difference maker yes but even Steve Young had to learn how to spin the ball with accuracy to win a Chip, look at Brady's Physical gifts # 1-2
They didn't discuss Cam's final season in Carolina and New England seasons. He couldn't manage the game and couldn't be a game manager😂😂😂
According to Joy, That doesn't count
You make no sense if the two teams he was on roster was pathetic bro!
And cam almost had that bum patriots team in the playoffs. And he beat that loaded ravens defense
Joy said don't bring those up lol
Cam had a grown man launch into his shoulder and basically broke it he came back to New England and had a great 4 games then Covid happened🤷🏽♂️
@@Africa-BMCAM And cam almost had that bum patriots team in the playoffs
And what does it say that Mac Jones got them in and Cam couldn't?
The 49ers are winning big because of Brock Purdy. An average or lesser quarterback might skim by with these weapons and defense. Brock has taken this 49er team and has made them nearly a touchdown per game better than before. Its going to take more time for him to be an elite quarterback but right now, he deserves to be in the MVP conversation because he is making plays downfield and making his teammates better just as much as they are making him better.
Here is this as well.......When we talk about passing stats, Brock Purdy is on pace to beat Cam in yards thrown in a season, completion percentage in a season, yards per attempt, quarterback rating and QBR. Take any season of Cam's and Brock is going to shatter those numbers. Brock is never going to have the rushing stats as Cam but passing wise, he is leaps and bounds more accurate and decisive then Cam.
Jimmy g took them to a Super Bowl your take is not valid
@@Gmossy11Jimmy G was terrible
@@Gmossy11And Jimmy G never looked like this in the system. Plus Jimmy had a turnover problem
@@LeetraviusMcKay-q6m and yet he still got to Super Bowl. If a bad, terrible qb can take them to the Super Bowl then Purdy should win at least back to back super bowls
@@Gmossy11lmao jimmy “took” the Niners to Super Bowl by throwing 8 passes in nfc championship lol hindsight 20/20? Foolish take
We talking about the Cam Newton with a career 59% completion (inaccurate) and 123 Ints to 194 TDs (unreliable)? ROFL Cam had one decent year on a team with a great defense. He couldn’t even constantly be a good game manager let alone a game changer. He was a one-hit wonder.
I don't believe Purdy is a game manager,i believe Purdy is a game changer cause he doing better than any quarterback 49 rs had in the last 8 years
Y'all really live a if football life, cam ain't no game changer he won nothing
And cam been trash at the end of his career
McNabb has been in the playoffs more than cam,so,I don't understand why y'all so hype about cam for,and he won nothing it means nothing if you don't win it all and Purdy just on his first full season
Brock slangs it. He processes QUICK. Cam threw dirt balls.
Brock is nowhere near the level of Cam, don’t ever compare the two
@@n.willy4864you right he’s better then cam already. Cam had one good year, Brock’s already out doing that year.

They are different and that’s why he stayed hurt because he ran the ball all the time. Very big arm. We always saying WHAT IF you put this person on this team. You don’t know unless they actually play on that team. Name a QB that didn’t need help? It’s a team sport and that’s why these so called super athletes never win super bowls.

Panthers had a top Defense but wait they wont hold that against cus hes Trash Newton
No disrespect to Cam, but why not reflect on his second season in the NFL compared to Dak’s & Purdy’s second season. It took Cam several years to get MVP and no ring. If Purdy gets MVP and a ring in his 2nd season, will Cam have a different opinion?
Something tells me Cam didn’t watch any film on Brock or Dak and just ran his mouth
He had one great MVP season which he won MVP, which he went to the superbowl and lost and never went back. Has never won a superbowl.
@@alexnavarro2447I fixed my comment. thanks! Also, I believe it was his 5th season when he got MVP.
@@LeetraviusMcKay-q6mthis. This is the comment.
Cam had Greg Olson and Mccaffrey. Cam games have always been boring. He’s not Micheal Vick. He’s a game manager version. What happened in the Super Bowl with Cam.
Cam Newton was a game manager. He was not a game changer. How did he change the game in Super Bowl 50. He fumbled twice lost that game without making any change. Cam also was a running first QB which is essential saying we don’t think you can win the game with your arm from the pocket so use your legs so you don’t lose us the game with your arm
Question: if the vikings, browns, and bengals are held against purdy then why is dak not under fire for not being able to beat the cardinals? Who was injured for the cowboys in that cardinals game?
3 starting lineman, and wr 2…
bro dak is what are you talking about and cowboys were actually missing half their roster unlike the niners
@dillon5267 appreciate that update. Thanks
Because it don’t fit the narrative they pushing
Add all pro Diggs who had just tore his acl a few days before the game. 3 OL. Im forgetting someone else but they were pretty beat up that game.
Nah it’s crazy how far wow factor and athleticism will take you and not actually playing the sport to these dudes
Joe Montana is a game manager in Joys eyes because if she actually watch how Joe Montana played, he played exactly like Purdy. He doesnt do no look passes, throw like Farve, he doesnt run around like Vick. Joy and these people need to know about football to have opinions we can count on. Feels like they dont
I think Joy was referring to Troy Aikmen
Joe Montana was just as clutch as Kobe Bryant
8:57 James; if you had Cam with the Niners (CMC , Deebo, Ayuik, Kittle) or put him in the Dallas Cowboys team with CeeDee, Pollard, Ferguson, Cooks and that all around All Pro Offensive players. Championships would have been won with Cam in those two teams
49ers fan here. I think it is fair to wait and see what Brock becomes before throwing labels at him. He is having a great year, but it is a little early to call him elite. To Joy's point, we should wait and see where his career goes.
My only real objection to the narrative around what Cam said; someone has to win MVP. Maybe Dak or Brock's MVP wont be as impressive as Cam's, but voters are gonna vote. Likely for a QB.
Cam can make awesome and amazing plays, but he can't do the simple things consistently.
That is why Cam failed and is no longer playing.
But if you can do the simple things with consistency and have flashes of great plays...now we're talking.
Brock has shown a lot of consistency in the simple things and he has had flashes of brilliance with his deep passes
Name me a players on cams offense better than what brock purdy has right now he had steve smith his rookie year and played with cmc the year he got hurt
Bingo
Brock is a really good player but his play is elevated by his receivers and RB.
If everything was even and the guys he mentioned were on his Panthers team then yea his team would perform better, but if you give Cam and those guys good weapons those guys would outperform Cam hands down@@bmill8780. He heavily relied on his physical gifts so when that started to falter, he became mediocre. He should've tried to be more like the Lamar Jackson of today.
@balo purdy is mid at best , you put purdy in the NFL south that had prime matt Ryan & drew brees ? That boy would've been worse than jamies .
Maybe if Cam had learned to manage the game, he could be still playing. That is what I am hearing some former players and some coaches.
Just because someone plays longer don’t mean they have a better career. Fitzpatrick played for 20 years and didn’t accomplish anything close to Cam
Alex smith as well. Quit hating
In the end of the day you play with what you have and cam did. He was great at it. Remember when he came back to New England hardly any practice really man. You went to the Seattle game and he looked like cam Newton NFL IS rigged they don't want CAM to dominate.
Cam was in the same division as Drew Brees and Matt Ryan and how that turn out for him
LMAO !!! Cam Newton is not a top 20 NFL QB probably not even top 30 all time, Emmanuel Acho is smoking some prime stuff!🤡 He was a better RB than QB and his season records show it, his interceptions show, his championships show it and people can try and paint it any which way they want. Cam Newton's biggest downfall was his QB IQ and inability to read a defense, he went to his #1 and then took off running like another QB that collapsed after 1 season of hitting his highs and teams got his read...Colin Kaeparnick who had 1 great season and lost a SB as a backup. No one who knows anything about Football would say Cam is a top 20 QB, Jake Delhomme at Carolina had the same amount of winning seasons as Cam in less years.
Before in the 80s and 90s QB were measured by winning superbowls now they’re measured by just making it to the Super Bowl.
How can they play football for how many years and still don’t know football
Cam Newtons career completion percentage of less than 60%. If Cam was a game manager, he'd still be playing
If he was a game manager then he wouldn’t have a heisman, nfl mvp or a Super Bowl appearance.

Cam wasn’t dunking on them Niners tho 🥱🥱
Cam Newton was definitely a model of inconsistency for sure. 3 winning seasons, 7 losing seasons as a starter in Carolina. He wasn’t a GAME CHANGER in New England. The whole world knew he wasn’t going to do what Brady did. Cam might have won a few more games if he was a better game manager.
BTW…Niners are on the verge of having a 1000 receiving trio this season and they have a kid playing in his first full season at QB. This kind of stuff flies under the mainstream radar. That’s how winning QBs manage the game. Everyone is eating in the Niners receiving core.

Being a game manager is WAY MORE VALUABLE than being an athlete at QB.. that’s why Peyton Manning, Tom Brady & Joe Montana All go down as the greatest QB’s ever to play this game. If being super athletic is what made great QB’s we would be sitting here saying Michael Vick & Cam Newton are the greatest ever. GAME MANAGING IS QUARTERBACKING. & the QB’s who manage the game best are the ones who find themselves being the most successful. The “game changer” athletes who can use their legs and throw 70 yards down field are only good for an MVP trophy, a big contract and a whole lot of disappointment not living up to expectations.
Cam Newton???? Dude is in his early 30's, can't make an NFL Team, and trying to talk smack about Purdy and Dak!? 😂
