Very First Notes On A Monette Prana Mouthpiece

- Our new friend Tom scheduled a visit to the Monette shop to try a mouthpiece. While he was here we thought we'd pull out the camera and video his experience trying a Monette Prana mouthpiece for the very first time.
I just love this video. Tom’s reaction always makes me smile, and it’s also so inspiring how he was also immediately hip to what musical horizons Monette gear was going to open up for him!
Prana is easily the best equipment you can play on. It tells on you when you play with stress haha.

Sounds like he was blown away at the difference , I could tell how much better his intonation was and how shocked he was when he hit the hi c so effortless .

In my marching band all senior trumpet player usually gets a Bach mouthpiece and one monette.. So if they get a lead/solo they will sound gorgeous.. I use mine just primarily for higher range..

Do you have all your mouthpieces in silver? I've been considering changing from my Yamaha 11b4-gp to a monette .

I‘m playing a Vincent Bach Corp 3C mouthpiece from the late 60’s and i’m thinking about to get a Monette resonance B4S S2 prana, but i’m still consfused. Can i simply go to the Monette prana from the Bach corp 3c mouthpiece or first i need to get the Monette resonance B4S S2 Classic?

Do you guys have a Prana mouthpiece which is the equivalent of a 1.5 C? And if so, which mouthpiece is it?
Hi Aaron! We have several mouthpieces that are comparable to the 1-1/2C. Our B3 S3 is the closest equivalent, and the B4S S2 is basically the same size but with a slightly different rim. How do I know what size mouthpiece I should use cause in school they have us all playing from 7c to 5c to 3c.
The B6S1 is almost exactly comprable to the 3c and is suggested for anyone currently using 7c,5c and 3c

Will prana mouthpieces improve ease of high register playing. I’m a relatively new trumpet player, but I can get double d’s, but I want to make the job easier because I work to hard to hit those notes. Do your mouthpieces help make playing easier?

No! Prana mouthpieces can be used on any trumpet!
