Just built one myself using a 19kg propane tank absolutely no welding involved and I can remove and refit the flue. Made it to use in my garden or on camping trips
Thanks very much! I have no metalwork experience, but figured as long as I could stick to nuts and bolts instead of welding it would work out. Very approachable project for beginners like me!
That’s clever! I’ve got 2 questions if that’s ok? 1. What size is the helium tank? 2. Is it safe to work on the tank, by just releasing the helium as you did? I know propane tanks need all kinds of extra precautions, eg flushing with water.
Hi, thanks for watching! It's just a little smaller than a standard bbq propane tank. Helium doesn't burn or explode like propane. Much safer to handle!
It's a pretty small unit and not a very hot fire, but I did keep it in mind the first few times firing it up. I don't smell anything when the door's closed and I smell a lovely woodfire when it's open! Thanks, take care!

You’re a genius I need to go to welding school 😂
as someone who's making a small cabin to live in this is honestly an inspiration. thank you!

Talk about patience! Turned out nice though, and perfect idea for someone without a welder!
Thanks very much for checking out the video!
@@WoodlyDad don't say thanks,,,,it was a pleasure,,, thanks to YOU 👍👍👏👏😊💯
Well done! Can't wait to see it in action. 🔥
Installed it today, we'll see how it goes tonight!
Nice work!
very good kamina
Excellent!!
Maybe fire cloth between the door strips
Wat een geweldige video. Zo creatief. ❤️👍
Did in action 😂 nut good result
Can you describe the materials in the words ? That way I can buy them without messing up
Does it matter what size the chimney diameter is?
Suggest getting a 120 mm hand held grinder rather than your small grinder. You’ll save money on using the small curing wheels.
Yeah, you're right, I should look into picking up an angle grinder. And I should probably learn welding...!
@@WoodlyDad With the skills you have,,,, you dont need a welder😊😊🌹💯
Cool idea, but spend the $10 and buy an angle grinder from harbor freight. It would’ve cut the build time at least in half.
Hey buddy I got a spare old hole saw for ya and I'll even let ya use my sawzall

I was wandering the same thing today! That’s why I googled how to do this. I was scared to just cut into it! Lol thank you
How much for you to make me one ?
Do you think the latch will offgas anything tho? Awesome build. Subbed

Can one use pop rivets instead of nuts and bolts?
Probably, I've never worked with pop rivets. I just used to use them as lego people swords!
@@WoodlyDadhaha, yes
@@WoodlyDad I think you can,,,if they are stainless so they dont melting from the Heat,,,,p,s I liked Your video 👍👍👏👏🌹💯
