better draft pick at this point is priority. packers are vulnerable (obviously) and vikings are far from as good as their record suggests. Bears should make noise next year if fields can drop the turnover numbers.

I lived in Japan as a kid. The people are some of the nicest you'll ever meet. As a Cowboys fan I enjoyed that game last night but damn the Colts made me nervous for 3/4 of the game I won't deny that lol

Yep me too. I just would prefer they'd handle teams like that from start to finish. Makes u worry what if that happens in playoffs against strong team. But, I really think this Dallas team is still finding itself.. n it hasn't hit it's peak yet.
For the average running yards thing, I think it would be cool to see "winning percentage" tracked for RBs. Like, how frequently does the RB take the ball and improve the down and distance situation.

I'm a big Zeke fan. There's no doubt that Pollard has more big chunk plays than Zeke. For some people that's all they see. In this age of FFB and "advanced" stats though, most people, and not just fans, don't understand the nuance of the running game. For a few years now we heard that the way to win in the NFL is by throwing the ball like ALL THE TIME unless you are just trying to kill the clock, period, end of story. That's because they look at average yards/play like it's the end all be all. They want to pay TE's who touch the ball 75ish times a year more money than they are willing to pay a RB. Even if they get more yards, more TDs, and touch the ball 300+ times. Zeke was pushing almost 400 touches a season when he got paid. That's a lot of punishment, both given and taken. Could Pollard do that? Don't know, but he never has.
I'd be happy if they took Zeke and Pollard, sat them down in the off season, and said, We're going to split the load between you guys. Zeke, you aren't going to be expected to touch the ball 300+ times. Those days are gone. And I think you should want that to extend your career. Let's take the $15M/yr value of your extension and split it and give each of you $7.5M/yr. Now, I know they could pay the RB position less by letting one or both of them walk and replacing him/them with someone or a couple of guys like Malik Davis for peanuts. But would the team be as good? I don't think so.
You look at the stats of the games they win. Typically they ran all over the opponent and threw the ball around 30 or less times. They only had 170 yards passing yesterday. 250 vs the bears and 270 vs the Vikings. Most importantly they ran for a lot of yards, controlling the game, and threw it 30 or less times. They need a top run game and defense more than they need a $40M/yr QB. Dak's not the entire offense like Josh Allen.

We gotta get back on our feet and strengthen our O-Line in areas. We are definitely hurting not having Leonard in there, we need to get a new franchise qb that can get us going, and we need to get Jonathan Taylor running again. I have faith that we can figure it out and get it done.
Just build your o line and then get a qb with great offensive depth

Colts need to fix the Oline before they think about trading or getting another QB. With our first round pick we need to take the best available offensive linemen. Preferably the best LT, then sign a right guard. If we dont fix the oline we can have the best qb and it wont make a difference. It’ll be the Andrew Luck situation all over again
That would be stupid though, keep in mind in this draft coming up we will have 2 picks in the 2nd round... when we traded Carson Wentz, we did it for a third round pick unless Carson Wentz did play 70 percent of the snaps this year... that 3rd pick goes to a 2nd round pick because Carson Wentz is no longer Washington's starter... we can draft a qb early and OT twice early in the second round and that's facts 💯

Having the backup qb in on his first season playing and still doing that good against a killer of a team as the eagles are is still an accomplishment.

In all my years of watching the Colts I've never seen them lose by this much. It's a tank season now. It almost feels like a rebuild from the ground up with the way they stank up the joint last night. Jacoby would've been a better qb at this point

What he's saying about the colts being just dead, lifeless, that's exactly how I felt about the cowboys in previous years.. I bitched about it all the time that they needed some will to win, needed a gamer like ray Lewis type to light a fire. But when McCarthy and Quinn came everything changed. Mostly the same team, but new coaching and bam they started playing with intensity and determination. (they also got Micah at same time so there's that)

What has to agitate Colts fans it looked like they had a real chance to pull the upset until 5 turnovers led to them ultimately being boatraced. Those 5 turnovers led to 5Tds which was the exact difference in the game.

I turned it off right before the onslaught began. Watched the highlights this morning and couldn't believe it.
They just lost the team for some crazy reason, they just stopped playing hard! Motivation was deflated amongst the players in the last two quarters….and that my friends was the game planning from the coaching staff in not putting together a good scheme. Something got to these players, social media, sports analyst, other outside players or even the players themselves. That’s a pretty huge hole to dig out of, good luck Saturday in trying to win this team back into playing hard.
