Agreed. Orcas have the 2nd largest brain of any animal and can feel complex emotions. There has also never been a recorded attack on a human being by an orca who wasn't in captivity. They are incredibly intelligent and there is no doubt this orca lived an awful life. RIP
It’s pretty messed up but people still keep going and paying to see a whale swim in an aquarium. People always wanna get an animal and put it in a cage or tank it’s pretty stupid. The only animals that want anything to do with us really are dogs. A fuckin bird doesn’t wanna sit in a cage it’s whole life in your living room

Tokitae hadn't had any/much time out in free waters; so the sanctuary would have been perfect. Although Toki's death is very sad, I am quite happy that it's bringing a lot of attention to orcas/dolphins and other sealife in captivity with humans realizing it's pretty fucked up.
