I used this same method recently after watching many videos and this is the best method ever. I was finally able to embroider a onesie with no issue. It came out perfect. Thank you, Ms. Deborah

thanks so much!! I'm so glad that you did this onesie without any sprays or fusing aids...and the turning of the hoop is the best tip!The binder clips are great and I've also had good results with the small claw plastic pony tail holders ! Can't wait to try this..thanks again!

Thank you so much!!! My machine is being shipped. I plan on learning embroidery and hopefully making a little extra money. So I'm watching videos to learn. The first video I watch, She cut out the whole seam on one side that would have to replaced. Your video is a huge time saver and relief.

This is the best, most sensible video I have seen on this topic - thank you! I think I’m finally courageous enough to try this now!

The hooping tips were great. But what about knowing if the design is centered on the Onsies or shirt? My hoop mechanism is offset so having it extend out the neck of a garment does not make it centered.

Thank you so much! Just got my machine on Black Friday and have been scared to try the onesie! Going to give it a whirl tomorrow!

Don't you have to rotate your design with this method? Would this also work on a toddler sweatshirt?

Thank you. I just did my first onesie and had a horrible time. Had to open a side seam to do it. Tomorrow I'm going to use your technique instead. Thanks so much.

Great video. Learned a lot but how do you get the onsie so that it is centered?

Excellent! I've used the office clips and also used hair clips! Lol. Whatever works! My Janome hoops have a longer connection arm and I hooped a onesie with the design upside down and the hoop connection arm coming out of the bottom of the onesie. It worked.

So glad it worked for you. Good idea to modify for your Janome hoop. Thanks for letting me know...

Hi, great video. I have tried several brand onesies. Some have worked very well, but I am unable to successfully embroider on a Gerber onesie. I use cutaway stabilizer and a wash away on top. Any suggestions that will help me and others are appreciated.

I have had my machine for a few years....and I am absolutely terrified to start doing embroidery! ( the reason? I am afraid of wrecking the machine in some manner ! I know, I know, it sounds pretty stupid....but it's true.
I really enjoyed your video Deborah ! I have watched a few of the UA-cam videos and yours seem to be the most helpful.
      Thanks so much !

If your single needle machine has a free arm like mine... all the extra fabric goes under the arm, no need for any of this manipulation. Most of the combination machines have the free arm.

So I guess since 0-3 is the smallest size I’ll ever need to embroider I should just throw away the newborn sizes....
