    What a wonderful practical tutorial. Will be using this trick. I use my cutting table when I hoop so it'll be easy for me to use the edge. Thanks.

    I can definitely see how this method is beneficial and I'm going to give it a try. I have the PAL laser (the small one) from Designs in Machine Embroidery that allows me to "blind align" from the top as well, meaning I don't have to see the marks on the outer hoop to get it right. This method simulates that process manually. Pretty smart!

    I would love to see a video of you using this method on embroidering a tee-shirt. Is there one available that you can direct me to? Has anyone in the comments section used this method for tee-shirts? I love your tips and since I am new at all of this I so appreciate all you have shared with us.

    Wow, an awesome helpful video even if it is several years old. If still available for answers will this help prevent the fabric from puckering?

    Great video. I have been having trouble with puckering. But the puckering only seems to happen as I tighten the hoop screw. Does your method keep this from happening.

    thanks for the video ; but the problem I have is with a ready made sweatshirt or hoodie type garment where I am attempting to put a name on the left/right chest area & getting it hooped correctly and straight. What recommendations do you have for that. thanks! It is very difficult to get that large garment on the hoop first of all & aligning it correctly seems to be quess work most often for me. Any help would be appreciated.

    Too time consuming!? Maybe but for only the first time! I also use 3M Scotch Brand Removable Double Sided Tape on the bottom side of the inner hoop to temporarily secure everything before the final hooping. I put a bit of tape right where the underside of the centering grid marks would be. Remember! It's removable....

    What is the BEST way to hoop a Tshirt with a 4x4 hoop , for a right chest logo?

  • @benjjrgraham6842
    @benjjrgraham6842 10 років тому +2

    you don't have to hoop the fabric. just hoop the stabilizer and make a basting rectangle before the actual design. the basting holds the fabric in place and can be removed. this is what you MUST do when doing really thick items like coats.
